If this anime ever returns, this composer, Takahashi Ryo, has to come back too. There's very few others that I would trust to do the music for this series.
Actually in the newest trailer for Season 2 Masaru Yokoyama was announced as the new main composer. But he did some incredible work in the past and the OST that played in the trailer is already godlike, so I think he will do a great job.

I still have to say that Takahashi also did an incredible job on the first season of COTE and it would be crazy if Takahashi and Yokoyama would have worked together on the OST of the second season. I think a collaborative OST of the two would become one of the greatest anime OST of all time.

Nanase Hosen and Amasawa planning to take Ayanokoji down in the island test, Ryuuen’s gets Katsuragi to join his class, Hiyori likes Ayanokoji, Kiryuuin probably the smartest and best in 3rd year about to battle it out with Nagumo for first place... but then you realize Ayanokoji and Kouenji are both gonna try this time... can’t fking wait for Kouenji to show his true abilities and still lose to Ayanokoji

I like how in this picture, the more the character goes to the middle, the stronger they are overall. Ayanokoji, as the master piece of the white room is in the middle, he is quite literally unbeatable and this stands confidently in the middle. Next to him are Ichika and Yagami, the 5th generations white room students, and arguably the strongest students in the entire school minus some exceptions. Housen is next to Ichika due to their collaborative relationship but also stands to point that Ichika is his superior, while Nanase stands at the side, being close to Housen but also kinda an outsider. On Yagami's side Riku and Tsubaki stand there as they have been used by Yagami before. It's also interesting how Ichika is turned towards Ayanokoji while Yagami has his back turned. She has accepted Ayanokoji as her superior while Yagami hasn't.

Just finished S1 on crunchyroll and waiting for S2 to be free from premium 😊 Honestly I really like the mc's characteristics in this, he is very smart and is good at fighting (I think when he dodged the council president's hits in the 1st or 2nd ep) and is so mysterious that I'm really curious about his backstory and why he doesn't smile. I love the suspense and plot in this series and I really want a live action drama of this.
The first season in terms of music and character development was the best, I hope the fourth one rescues this and has more episodes per season with higher quality even if it takes a while and the author gets along with the director who developed the first season and improves the art of scenes and characters.
For those asking or wondering if there ever will be a season 2. I think it will never happen because the 1st season deviated from the Light Novel quite a bit, and I've heard the anime was made to promote the Light Novel (correct me if I'm wrong). Though I do strive for a COTE remake that adapts at least until the end of volume 4 because it's one of my most favourite volumes (albeit the fact that almost every volume starting from Vol. 3 was insanely good). Let's pray that some big named studio decides to remake this masterpiece of a series. Also, read the Light Novels (anime onlies) because it's insanely good, one of the best Light Novels ever made IMO.

I really love all the osts of my special childhood Classroom of the Elite MF Bunko J Series, now I'm getting extremely fired up for the upcoming anime adaptation of the 3rd season.
Okay, so Year 2 LN volume 4.5 I think spoilers ahead: Looking at the video's image I now realise it was spoiling the 2 WR characters all along. Both of them are side by side to Kiyopon, they are also the only characters on the picture that are not front-faced, but side-faced, and while Ichika's front is faced towards Ayanokouji, symbolising her more direct approach, Yagami is the opposite, he shows him his back, due to his more passive and "from the shadows" approach. Maybe I was overthinking, or was something everybody understood at the instant, but IDK, I just realised after 5 volumes or so.
A guess about how light novel will end: Everyone gradutes in 3rd year . Everyone will be happy and 3rd years will be congratulated by 1st and 2nd years.....just when all the important characters ( maybe not all ) will notice that ayanokoji is missing after graduation ceremony.... then maybe suzune will come running after kiyotaka in search for him and then they will say their goodbye to each other in the same spot they first met ( the stairs to entrance of school) Smug loli and kiyotaka will go their separate ways ......kiyotaka will either go back to whiteroom or the whiteroom will be destroyed at the end.....
Remember Horikita Manabu gave his phone number to Ayanokouji before leaving and told him to contact him if he needed any help after graduation..I think that’s gonna play a big role in what happens after Ayanokouji graduates..he’ll need Manabu’s help for something big

After reading the light novel 2nd year, I feel like amasawa ichika have this seductive kind of aura around her. And riku utomiya have this kind of cool, calm and collected aura around him. He's like that kind of cooperative sasuke.

As of now, they are the ones i'm thinking about who'd most likely to help him when they graduate. There may also be new characters in Year 3 tho. Edit: plus Tsukishiro and Shiba sensei, of course. And Kiyo's butler.

(spoiler) He probably has alexithymia because of living a world without emotions (white room). He only has one reason to live, that is to win. (I think) his definition of winning is to live life to the fullest. The only problem is that he doesn't know what living life to the fullest means. He knows he is nothing but a tool. He knows that he doesn't have anything that belongs to him :'( . His knowledge is something that was given to him by his father. Even his unbelievably fast learning ability should probably by something like brain training. Even his willpower might be something that was developed by his father with some psychological experiment that raised self-efficacy. He has only observed that there was some kind of pattern or rule that people follow in order to get something they want. He didn't know why they want to get what they want. I mean, sure, maybe he knows the reason for some but only the surface. Whether a person does good or evil depends on his memories, including the emotions felt in those memories. In Kiyo's case, he might know the recent memories of a person(if you have someone you know it's almost impossible not to know things that happen about him/her) but he can only theorize the emotions felt. Only theorizing without experiencing it yourself is not enough. Kiyo did have some suffering(it's enough to be torture for normal people's standard of education) but he doesn't know what it means to suffer since he doesn't know what it means to enjoy(before he got out of WR). The suffering became normal to him. Honestly, I think he's the most unique MC I have ever known. Having emotions while not having them. He does have emotions (he smiled during the Sakura Arc, almost comparable to an old man looking at a child and he is also more expressive in the LN) but his willpower(used every second) is stronger than his emotions(never used). Although he's not the best MC I know, he is the most unique one. No concept of good nor evil. Only power. I can't say he's power-hungry though. He just wants to be the safest man on Earth. In COTE, there are still other characters that I like more than him. 1. Kei (that's for sure, she's too cute) 2. Manabu (horikita's bro, always set on getting first place with the principle that a leader should always be number one, he got me really motivated in school) 3. His Dad (he might not be very friendly but I read that he does praise Kiyo through the glass outside his room without Kiyo knowing(Tsukihiro said it). Maybe he didn't want to affect him psychologically that's why he didn't let him hear any compliments that a normal kid should have. It's even possible that he actually cares for his son and is just barely holding himself back for his dream to come true. I think there's some history yet to be revealed. Other than that, he is very similar to Manabu only he is making his son the number one human in the world regardless of his role in society.)
Actually Ayanokoji is born genius. Sakayagi also says that the moment people born their limitation set in stone. No matter hard they try they can't go beyond their limitation and only way go create genius in by superior DNA or mutation. Ayanokoji is probably a natural mutation who surpass his DNA of father and mother. At Volume 11 sayakagi (class A leader) herself said "you are real deal not the fake one". Also Tuskihiro ( acting director of school work under Ayanokoji father to expell him) said the idea to create genius by forcibly giving them knowledge in special environment is absurd and very stupid.

It's true that all people are born with limitations set but in the first place, I don't think there was ever a person who reached his limits in overall strength because there are strengths with potential that have never been touched by any human like, financial power for example, a person can even get money that feels unlimited if he has a strength that controls the everyone and the whole world. I'm not sure whether they are weeding out the geniuses or creating them. Genes aren't the only factors of being genius [I don't think they are referring to intelligence when they mention genius but the overall strength (intelligence, physical strength, mental, emotional, willpower, etc.)] Back to what I was saying, you can become a genius without needing much from the DNA factor by using the environmental factor, which is the White Room. Mc's Dad is trying to prove that if an average person's potential is unleashed it can even beat normal geniuses(normal geniuses don't usually let out their full potential and just rely on only one kind of strength). His dad is basically creating all-rounder geniuses maxed in all attributes instead of those having a specialty.

What the White Room is trying to do isn't making dumb people become geniuses(because as I said, you naturally need the minimum level for all important strengths), what WR is trying to do is to make NORMAL people become geniuses (again not academically but in every way). I agree that some DNA mutation is ONE, just one, of the reasons why he is like that. If he didn't receive any education from the WR he wouldn't be like that. He would be more like Sakayanagi or he might even just be a normal person. It was mentioned in the LN that everyone can become geniuses only that for every person, there should be a unique way of education applied. You said that the reason why he went to the white room was because he had a mutation but it was never mentioned that he went to the WR because he had a mutation. Actually in the newest trailer for Season 2 Masaru Yokoyama was announced as the new main composer. But he did some incredible work in the past and the OST that played in the trailer is already godlike, so I think he will do a great job.

I still have to say that Takahashi also did an incredible job on the first season of COTE and it would be crazy if Takahashi and Yokoyama would have worked together on the OST of the second season. I think a collaborative OST of the two would become one of the greatest anime OST of all time.

I like how in this picture, the more the character goes to the middle, the stronger they are overall.
Ayanokoji, as the master piece of the white room is in the middle, he is quite literally unbeatable and this stands confidently in the middle.
Next to him are Ichika and Yagami, the 5th generations white room students, and arguably the strongest students in the entire school minus some exceptions.
Housen is next to Ichika due to their collaborative relationship but also stands to point that Ichika is his superior, while Nanase stands at the side, being close to Housen but also kinda an outsider.
On Yagami's side Riku and Tsubaki stand there as they have been used by Yagami before.
It's also interesting how Ichika is turned towards Ayanokoji while Yagami has his back turned. She has accepted Ayanokoji as her superior while Yagami hasn't.
Reading the light novel with this was one of my best choices

Just finished S1 on crunchyroll and waiting for S2 to be free from premium 😊 Honestly I really like the mc's characteristics in this, he is very smart and is good at fighting (I think when he dodged the council president's hits in the 1st or 2nd ep) and is so mysterious that I'm really curious about his backstory and why he doesn't smile. I love the suspense and plot in this series and I really want a live action drama of this.

The first season in terms of music and character development was the best, I hope the fourth one rescues this and has more episodes per season with higher quality even if it takes a while and the author gets along with the director who developed the first season and improves the art of scenes and characters.

For those asking or wondering if there ever will be a season 2. I think it will never happen because the 1st season deviated from the Light Novel quite a bit, and I've heard the anime was made to promote the Light Novel (correct me if I'm wrong).
Though I do strive for a COTE remake that adapts at least until the end of volume 4 because it's one of my most favourite volumes (albeit the fact that almost every volume starting from Vol. 3 was insanely good).
Let's pray that some big named studio decides to remake this masterpiece of a series. Also, read the Light Novels (anime onlies) because it's insanely good, one of the best Light Novels ever made IMO.

Okay, so Year 2 LN volume 4.5 I think spoilers ahead:
Looking at the video's image I now realise it was spoiling the 2 WR characters all along. Both of them are side by side to Kiyopon, they are also the only characters on the picture that are not front-faced, but side-faced, and while Ichika's front is faced towards Ayanokouji, symbolising her more direct approach, Yagami is the opposite, he shows him his back, due to his more passive and "from the shadows" approach.
Maybe I was overthinking, or was something everybody understood at the instant, but IDK, I just realised after 5 volumes or so.

A guess about how light novel will end:
Everyone gradutes in 3rd year . Everyone will be happy and 3rd years will be congratulated by 1st and 2nd years.....just when all the important characters ( maybe not all ) will notice that ayanokoji is missing after graduation ceremony....
then maybe suzune will come running after kiyotaka in search for him and then they will say their goodbye to each other in the same spot they first met ( the stairs to entrance of school)
Smug loli and kiyotaka will go their separate ways ......kiyotaka will either go back to whiteroom or the whiteroom will be destroyed at the end.....
Remember Horikita Manabu gave his phone number to Ayanokouji before leaving and told him to contact him if he needed any help after graduation..I think that’s gonna play a big role in what happens after Ayanokouji graduates..he’ll need Manabu’s help for something big

(spoiler) He probably has alexithymia because of living a world without emotions (white room). He only has one reason to live, that is to win. (I think) his definition of winning is to live life to the fullest. The only problem is that he doesn't know what living life to the fullest means. He knows he is nothing but a tool. He knows that he doesn't have anything that belongs to him :'( . His knowledge is something that was given to him by his father. Even his unbelievably fast learning ability should probably by something like brain training. Even his willpower might be something that was developed by his father with some psychological experiment that raised self-efficacy. He has only observed that there was some kind of pattern or rule that people follow in order to get something they want. He didn't know why they want to get what they want. I mean, sure, maybe he knows the reason for some but only the surface. Whether a person does good or evil depends on his memories, including the emotions felt in those memories. In Kiyo's case, he might know the recent memories of a person(if you have someone you know it's almost impossible not to know things that happen about him/her) but he can only theorize the emotions felt. Only theorizing without experiencing it yourself is not enough. Kiyo did have some suffering(it's enough to be torture for normal people's standard of education) but he doesn't know what it means to suffer since he doesn't know what it means to enjoy(before he got out of WR). The suffering became normal to him.
Honestly, I think he's the most unique MC I have ever known. Having emotions while not having them. He does have emotions (he smiled during the Sakura Arc, almost comparable to an old man looking at a child and he is also more expressive in the LN) but his willpower(used every second) is stronger than his emotions(never used).
Although he's not the best MC I know, he is the most unique one. No concept of good nor evil. Only power. I can't say he's power-hungry though. He just wants to be the safest man on Earth.
In COTE, there are still other characters that I like more than him.
1. Kei (that's for sure, she's too cute)
2. Manabu (horikita's bro, always set on getting first place with the principle that a leader should always be number one, he got me really motivated in school)
3. His Dad (he might not be very friendly but I read that he does praise Kiyo through the glass outside his room without Kiyo knowing(Tsukihiro said it). Maybe he didn't want to affect him psychologically that's why he didn't let him hear any compliments that a normal kid should have. It's even possible that he actually cares for his son and is just barely holding himself back for his dream to come true. I think there's some history yet to be revealed. Other than that, he is very similar to Manabu only

Actually Ayanokoji is born genius. Sakayagi also says that the moment people born their limitation set in stone. No matter hard they try they can't go beyond their limitation and only way go create genius in by superior DNA or mutation. Ayanokoji is probably a natural mutation who surpass his DNA of father and mother. At Volume 11 sayakagi (class A leader) herself said "you are real deal not the fake one".

What the White Room is trying to do isn't making dumb people become geniuses(because as I said, you naturally need the minimum level for all important strengths), what WR is trying to do is to make NORMAL people become geniuses (again not academically but in every way). I agree that some DNA mutation is ONE, just one, of the reasons why he is like that. If he didn't receive any education from the WR he wouldn't be like that. He would be more like Sakayanagi or he might even just be a normal person. It was mentioned in the LN that everyone can become geniuses only that for every person, there should be a unique way of education applied. You said that the reason why he went to the white room was because he had a mutation but it was never mentioned that he went to the WR because he had a mutation. Sakayanagi's father only said:

Ayanokoji not showing bit of coward ness after everyone planning to expel him. Kouenji Horikita Ayanokoji going solo. Kiryuuin and Nagumo plan to battle it out for first place, most likely Kiryuuin will get highest after Ayanokoji and Kouenji since they’re gonna actually try. And Hiyori likes Ayanokoji.
