30k for depreciation is too much. It’s not an accident/ collision. A repaint/ paint work will clearly be documented on the carfax. You’re better off asking for 10-15k but not almost 20-30% of the cars value.
Yeah that might be true now. My attorney who is working with GM said my requests were reasonable. I will probably accept 15k for depreciation because of the Carfax report.
Also shitty employees. When I was making 17/hr assembling electrical switchgear even I looked at the paint on the covers we installed. If it has orange peel or too many specks on it I would return for repaint. It’s just doing what your job is.

Typical GM quality and response. Underpaid factory workers and QC means you get less and worse than what you paid for.
