  • XP-Pen sent me this Deco LW drawing tablet to test and talk about the experience. So I made this video for you to see :) Any ideas for the give away? Never done one on my own.
    The tablet seems to be compatible with android devices too! Hence those adapters I didn't even pay attention to xD

      Oooh that's awesome to hear! Thank you for watching and I am glad it was helpful. I could have made the experience less painful if I just took the time to set everything up properly and customize every option to my liking... But I am happy to hear it somehow helped. Feel free to check out the next video. I talk about some software issues regarding pen pressure and how windows handles it with some really annoying features that can be disabled :)

      @AdrianVirlan  Рік тому

      Hey thank you! I used Photoshop but the tablet works with many other art applications too.

    Hey! I'm thinking of picking this up, how has it held up? Does it have any noticeable wobble when you draw slowly (diagonal wobble can be common in cheaper tablets)?

    • @AdrianVirlan
      @AdrianVirlan  Рік тому +1

      To sum it up: No.
      Hey Harry thanks for your comment and sorry for the delay in my reply. I only tried the tablet for that hour, and I think I was so frustrated with the weird windows ink stuff that I didn't even pay attention to any wobble on my strokes. If there was any, I didn't notice.
      However, it might be something related to the size of the active area of a tablet, just my thoughts. If you zoom out so that your canvas occupies a little portion of your screen and try to draw on it, you will eventually be using less real estate on your tablet, leading to those saw teeth lines once you zoom in to check out the mess xD
      The more surface area you use on your tablet to draw, the less you will notice any wobble. Though sometimes, who knows, it might be a software issue rather than a hardware one. I see this with my Wacom intuos 5 (2012) and also on the Wacom cintiq 27QHD (2016).
      I hope it helped. I think these brands are doing a good job at lowering the price of these products, making it more accessible to curious souls who want to get started on their creative journey. But for high end purposes and professional use, I believe people might be able to inevitably tell the difference due to experience.

    How long did it take you to get this good?
    I am at the very beginning of my digital art journey and, while I know we all progress at different rates, I'd just like a rough idea of how long it would take to produce something like this.

      Sorry I missed this comment. It's difficult to be precise in such a subjective question because circumstances and lots of factors are involved. Your training directly affe ts the result you are asking for. I've been doing art since I was a child. Learning can be accelerated by deliberate practice. You improve a bit more with every painting. Just focus on the path and soon enough you will be at the top of the mountain to enjoy the views.

    Can u tell me what app are u using ? I am a newbie and don't know what app to use

    • @AdrianVirlan
      @AdrianVirlan  Рік тому

      Sure! So I am using Adobe Photoshop but there are so many other apps you could try as well. Programs like:
      Clip Studio Paint
      Krita
      Sketchbook
      Paint Tool SAI
      To name a few.
      Try sketchbook first, since I think it's the easiest one to get around. The others are quite similar to photoshop.

    Hello, is the Bluetooth is compatible with Android phone too?

    • @AdrianVirlan
      @AdrianVirlan  Рік тому +1

      Hey Ererina, sorry I didn't have the chance to try that since I had nothing on my phone to paint on (software wise) and the main application was to try it on a Windows PC program (in my case, photoshop). But I will look it up and see if what you say is possible. I have seen other tablets with that tablet-phone connection but it was always through the usb port of the phone.
