This is a walk along the Piraja Avenue in Ipanema, a nice neighborhood in Rio. It is very close to the beach. Ipanema is the favorite beach of the young "carioca" crowd.
Tourists usually believe it is Copacabana, but it is not. It extends from Arpoador to Leblon beach, an extension of itself ...Ipanema inspired Vinicius de Moraes to compose Garota de Ipanema with Tom Jobim.
Rio de Janeiro is one of our favorite travel destinations.

Going july,aug and sept.before visa takes effect! Does rio have a bus ticket or something like that? Plan to take bus from my hotel bordering Copacabana and Iponema. Bus stops by my hotel. Anyone have info about bus? How much? Etc..thx!!
