I'm pleased to hear how measured Slot is, pointing out mistakes and issues to work on, not just focusing on the positives, even some measured criticism of young Bajcetic with the caveat that he's been out a long time. Slot will push these players. Remains to he seen if he'll succeed here but he definitely has the air of a top coach.
The game was very late for me , but I couldn't stop watching. They played great football for the first time under Slot. I loved it. ❤
Very impressive press conference from Slot. He exudes mega confidence and his focus on the play style and making the players adapt to it feels like a really positive step forward. He comes across as a man who is naturally gifted to coach football 👏❤️🤗👏
2 weeks and that much of an identity already coming through!? Now, that is talented coaching. And these players, those present at this point, are clearly loving what they're being influenced and inspired to do with the ball. If this is what's possible with the present group, in 2 weeks, it's gonna be a very enjoyable few years with the slot machine!

I was impressed with how quickly we moved the ball, as well as how soon we were harassing Betis players when they had the ball, thought Salah was poor, apart from the 1 pass for Sobo's goal, he didn't show he had improved from the 2nd half of last season. Afraid of taking a player on, and wayward passes that didn't even beat the 1st defender. Nyoni was good, i hope he stays at the club rather than goes on loan. It also showed we do need a no.6 and another decent defender.
If you pay attention, every year mosala is never good in pre-season

First thing first . He is honest and highligted that Jones wasnt having a good game even before injury. As Jones was trying to simp Slot and his style of play yesterday in conference. 😂😂. And he praised Tray Nyaoni. He didnt over praised his players performance. It was decent. I like this Guy

He played Jones in a role that really doesn't suit him. Jones thrives as a LM or AM not DM or even CM but it was out of necessity that he played as a pivot. Gravenberch suits that role with Bajcetic or Morton as the pure DM to provide cover defensively

I’d have preferred seeing Salah playing the number 10 inverted to 11, while letting Szobo doing the right wing running. While we’ve maintained dominance, it was too congested in the midfield. Trey Nyoni was brilliant breaking the defensive lines, he has a good future ahead.
Well when we play with an actual striker the pitch will stretch naturally and the middle won’t be as congested

Probably 8 but he hasn’t had Macca in training yet to see what he wants to personally do. So right now I wouldn’t be too worried until all the boys are back and Slot gets to see and judge everyone for himself.

When a 17yr old (Trey Nyoni ) shows up Curtis Jones you got ask yourself is Curtis Jones really a first team player. He has 1 half season where he was decent, but his form aint been consistent enough. Not sure what Harvey Elliot was trying to do either but hey ho. Glad it's just the pre games and these things can be ruled out for the start of the Premier League games. Got to add the pressing the team was doing was really exciting football. Can't wait for the season to start looks like where in for a treat under Arne Slot.
