That was so cute when you said ''sayang''! Mrs. Kim, I hope you're feeling much better now. Tinola is easy to cook, you can try cooking it not just when you're sick but also when the weather is cool such as during rainy days. Remember, lots of ginger is what makes it yummier. Take care, wonderful Kim Family. Thanks for taking us with you to this wonderful place. Looking forward to your would-be adventures once you're settled somewhere in Luzon. :)

I’m glad you are enjoying Chicken Tinola. It’s also very easy to make and very healthy. Also, if you find the Chicken Tinola a bit bland, you can add a bit of Fish Sauce(Patis) to adjust the saltiness to your taste. In my family, we always eat Chicken Tinola with a banana on the side. We love the contrast of the Saltiness of the Chicken Tinola to the sweetness of the banana.I know it seems weird but it works together for some reason.

Rice is almost if not, always accompanies soup or sabaw, or anything that can be a viand or ulam. Because we always eat with rice haha as you know. And that green thingy you asked in the video could be sayote or chayote- it’s what makes the classic tinola though its origins didn’t originally include chayote, but it’s become a staple so 🤷‍♀️
And tinola isn’t supposed to taste like sinigang ahahsh
