Her live show in Chicago was SO MUCH FUN!!
What is your favorite Ado song??
My Favorite Is : Odo & Usseewa And Show ❤️🔥
My fav Ado songs are: Gira Gira, Ussewa, Show and God-ish
Fleeting Lullaby and Show
Tied between "KokoroToluNaNoFukakai" & her cover of "Crime & Punishment"
I was going to answer “Show” but then I remembered… that they’re all fucking good.
I was also at the Chicago show! Literally left me in awe. I knew that Ado is talented before seeing her live, but never realized just how truly special she is until I saw her perform. Her stamina and control are simply on a whole different level!!
The stamina is very impressive
Trickleeee 🙏🥺
As a Japanese person, I am proud that she sang all the songs sincerely without deleting anything from the program list. Many big-name musicians from overseas often play fewer songs at their concerts.
A few hours before her concert in Chicago, she spoke alone for two hours on a live Japanese radio show from Chicago. She's young so I don't think her stamina will be a problem, but I was worried about her throat.
She would need to be careful with overusing her voice since she sings with a quite heavy/harsh technique so she can retain her range as she grown into her prime years over the next decade plus.
Went to Yoasobi's concert back in January. Then went to Ado's concert in February and now Im going to Eve's concert in May!!! I have been blessed with good times this first half of the year!
Ado and eve are my favorite singers 😭 I wish eve came to the US
Damn!
@@Remy2121 they're doing a tour. So they might go there too!
@@mirrorline1it’s an Asia tour so he’s not coming
So cool!!!! I wish I could go see them too😭
Saw you during the concert but didn’t have the chance to say hi since it was mid-performance! Glad you enjoyed it like everyone else did and love the no-phone policy. For japanese concert culture, most people don’t bring out their phones and just respect the artist’s live performance and I love it.
I also attended her Chicago concert and I was blown away. It was totally surreal to be there in the crowd as New Genesis started playing. My friends and I wondered how many songs they would start with before taking a pause to introduce themselves and say hello--but the concert was just song after song for more than an hour. They played basically all my favorite songs from Aishite Aishite Aishite, Fleeting Lullaby, Tot Musica and more. Then, when they finally did have their MC section, we were so enamored and engaged as Ado greeted the crowd, thanked us and spoke with such enthusiasm. When she mentioned enjoying Chicago pizza, the whole crowded started chanting "pizza, pizza, pizza...!" and it was cute to see her and her band members laugh in reaction. It was such a wholesome and positive experience--and then for their encore they saved multiple songs including Backlight and finally....Odo!
I agree not only did the cage enhance the experience, Ado seemed completely confident and comfortable with their setup. Compared to a singer on an empty stage with no props, Ado constantly interacted with the walls of the cage, clawing or grabbing or leaning or swaying to and from the boundaries. There were multiple times when swooped down to her knees or fell to the ground and sang while lying on her back or laying on her stomach while swinging her feet up. She also had a number of microphones she rotated with throughout songs, a standard handheld one all purpose one, a hand-free mic when she would be dancing with both her hands outstretched at times, and I even saw a floor stand mic she swung around for one of her songs. Although the cage looks pitch black from the audience, it seemed like she had no trouble with everything she needed to give a spectacular performance.
She was all over that cage! That was super fun to watch
AHHHHH im so jealous.... Im PRAYING she or someone posts the live versions because i need to her them. (would have went in person but im not old enough, or have enough money, to go by myself so i couldnt😭)
I went to her LA show yesterday and I was also blown away by Ado's stage presence. She really does a fantastic job of emoting through a silhouette; I was completely transfixed by her performance for like half of the show.
so you cant even see the person that singing? whats the point, it just be some random person lip syncing a live track?
@drateryako watch the video he explains it
@@drateryakoyou can see her in her box you just don’t get a detailed view
And you can easily tell that it’s not lip synced if you actually went lol
i got the 1st front row by luck (buying from random reseller). watching her perform upclose felt so unreal . She is so spectacular and powerful with her performance .im blown away Definitely the best concert ive ever been. i escape work 😂, take a flight alone ,didnt sleep for two days straight, nervous and going to toilet too many times bcuz im sick, queue for more than 10 hours, broke my shoes during concert bcuz i jump and dance too hard lmao. But Worth the hell out of it !!! sheeshh
10 hours!
I still don't get how they could rely so much on backlighting to hide her identity. From cameras you see a silhouette, but since your were in the 1st row, did you really not see her face? It seems really risky to put that much trust on lighting and a cage alone.
@@pacificnebula4899 no. i still cant see her face . its just pitch black. idk what cage made of but it did a good job .
@@pacificnebula4899 I only saw a silhouette
I was also at the Chicago concert and it was amazing.Ado live is even more incredible. Her talent and passion for music can be felt through her singing. She is a once In a lifetime talent. My favorite vocalist of all time. I agree with you Tony, the fact that we didn’t have our phones was what made the experience much more memorable and exciting.
This show was one of the best things ive experienced in my life! The energy was so awesome, the people in line were super nice, and the music was as good as you’d expect.
It was also awesome seeing ado speak english for a bit, and laughing at the Pizza chant😅
omg yes, the pizza chant actually made her lol, it was amazing xD good work fellow chicago'ians
The no phone experience is really something. I went to her concert in London and my thoughts are pretty much the same as yours although the audio mixing on that concert was not the best.
Actually I've been in some concerts in Japan (from other artists) where phones are not banned... and you don't see a single screen. Everyone just focuses 100% on the performance and vibes with the glowsticks (it's so fun). If you ever go to Japan I'd recommend trying to get to any concert of an artist you like, it's amazing just as Ado's world tour.
I went to her concert in London and echo everything you said about the no-phones. We didn't have our phones locked up but had clear warnings with signs everywhere before the concert. Everyone was super respectful and noone had their phones out, it made for an amazing experience. Hard to put into words in today's day and age.
Saw her in LA the other day, I absolutely loved it. Obviously it being my first ever concert I have nothing to compare it to, however the sound quality, despite being at the very back row at the top was insane. The vibes were amazing, and having not a phone in sight made the experience so much more real feeling. The feeling that no one is just saving this for later and its something we can all only experience once was insane. If theres ever another Ado concert in the states and I have the time and money, I'm going.
As A French i went to the Paris Show. It was the best show of my life. And i also very appreciate the fact that we had no phone, it make the moment so unique. Really cool that you enjoyed it too !
I’m glad for you man. Thank you especially for introducing me to her music.
🤘
The urge to attend an Ado concert has never been higher. TT
No way! You were there too?
It was SO AWESOME!!!
@7:16 You describing the Ado experience gave me goosebumps! My 17-year-old and I are going to see Eve in Malaysia in May, one day after Eve's 29th birthday. My kid went solo to Japan in November and got to see Eve in Saitama (2 shows) and said it was very emotional for him. There's something special about Japanese artists.
I was at teh Chicago show! I've seen a ok amount of concerts but Ado def took top spot. It was truly amazing. Her performance, the box and also the no phones really did just lock me in the whole time. The crowd was on point and so hyped the whole time it just helped the entire vibe be so so fun and enjoyable. Lastly, her voice live translated too well. She is so powerful and so energetic, I'm running our of words to express how good she was. Overall, core Memory unlocked that night, 100/10
Drove from Minnesota to this show. It's probably the best concert I've been to. 100% agree that the phone free experience was fantastic, and I still can't get over how good Ado's voice is!
i went to Brussels and when she opened with New Genesis at my location i bursted into tears on how good that sounded live.
I was in one of the VIP boxes on the upper level, towards the back of the venue and everything still sounded fantastic! I feel like it can't be overstated just how powerful Ado's voice is live.
Its a shame I didn't run into you at all, but glad you also had a great time at the concert.
No way! Had no idea you were there that night. Thats so cool.
I got lucky since my friend had an extra ticket.
We got there near showtime so we had a bad view of the stage lol. Still had a lot of fun.
My favorite part is when Ado was talking about Chicago and the crowd started chanting Pizza.
I’m going to the concert in LA tonight and this has made me even more excited
Come back and reply to this comment tomorrow. I want to hear what you think
@@DrumRollTonyReacts It was absolutely incredible!! The band sounded amazing and I could hear everything, loved how much fun they were having especially the keyboardist. The best part of course was just hearing how powerful and clear Ado’s voice was, the music was aggressive and loud but it didn’t matter she could cut through and sounded just as good or better than the studio versions. Not having the phone was also really awesome, everyone just talking to each other before the show and just living in the moment and once the show started it was such great energy. Sorry to write a paragraph but it was a pretty overwhelming experience it’s hard to put it into words.
If you ever get the chance, you should definitely hit up some concerts in Japan. It's really amazing. How much better the etiquette is there. She also really wants to keep her identity secret. So that's one of the major things with the whole phone ban which is fantastic in my opinion. Especially since you're there for the show not for your phone.
I just came back from HoloFes In Japan and that was a 2 day event with 4 shows, and each show had around 20000 people attending and the second the music comes on everyone Goes crazy. Fantastic experience.
I'm thinking about going to Tokyo next year
@@DrumRollTonyReactsAdo is actually performing in japan at the end of this month at the japan national stadium as the first female soloist to do so!
The concert was breathtaking, listening to Ado's voice live was pure bliss.
Missed the chance to say hi but glad you enjoyed it as well
I went to the Brussels one, and it was AWESOME! Although they didn't lock our phones, no one really took them out during the show, which was really nice. I personally got a bit blasted by the volume of the music, standing at the front, but it was still very hype. One of the most hype moments though, were the unexpected songs! She just suddenly popped 'Stay with me' and 'Senbonzakura' (among others) as last few songs and the crowd just ignited. Along with 'Show' and 'Backlight' at the end, those were my favorite songs.
The crowd chanting Ado's name during each transition was also very fun, and her failed (in a fun way) english mc'ing was also one of a kind (which she dealt with very well)
Super excited to see her in Austin in a couple of days. Really really glad to hear about the phone situation, this is gonna be my first concert so i didnt want it ruined by a sea of screens!
I was lucky to get vip seats since my dad worked there for years, and my second concert there, and I'm glad I went hearing her made me want to write music and can find my voice in music
I went to her LA concert last night!! I totally agree that the no phone policy made it really engaging and fun. The visuals in the background and on the box were so awesome and of course her voice was amazing. I had a great time!
I attended ado's concert in Düsseldorf on the 16th. It was the BEST time of my life and it was my FIRST EVER concert.
During the entire time of the first song "shinjidai" (New Genesis) i was bawling my eyes out as the realization set in that i'm ACTUALLY there. I was attending the concert with 2 friends (one that flew over from romania to germany JUST for this concert) and it was SUCH a great time. Seeing AND HEARING her live was such an out of this world experience it felt (and still feels) unreal.
It's gonna be burned into my memory as a core memory for the rest of my life.
her energy in live is absolutely above anything else, to the point im worried on how her chord conditions after all the concert. she's just 22 with one of the brightest future ahead out as japanese artist, and concert at this scale is a new experience to her.
she tries to deliver each song even more than the recording everytime, im blessed truly but her wellbeing is number one and i hope im wrong
Saw her in Germany. Odo was my fav. song on this show. Everyone was dancing :D
I just went to her LA concert the other day and it was so mind blowing how different of an experience i had there compared to some American Artist's concerts i've been to! Her stage presence and pure passion portrayed through her singing was just absolutely amazing! By FAR the best concert i've ever been to and hope to go to many more in the future!
Saw her in LA last night and it was amazing! Glad you enjoyed the Chicago show
I was at the very back during the KL live show. Was just as fun n Ado n the surrounding sound are just as clear when u in the front. Everyone singing along n no phone being held it was incredible.
A friend and I had tickets to go to her NYC concert, but weren't able to go because of travel complications, sadly. So watching this help make up for that a lil bit 😅 I'm glad to hear that she sounds just as good live as in the studio! I completely agree about the no phones/being present in the moment btw. Great vid!
Just went to her last show in Austin yesterday and OMG the energy is unreal. Definitely would go again if she comes back to the states.
We're going to see her on Monday, cant wait!
I really liked the small vlog section of the video. Makes me want to go to chicago!
You should!
That must have been something. Hopefully the crafted precision inspires more performance-friendly attitudes in local concerts
Been a follower of yours for months now and attended NYC, best concert of my life. Ado is absolutely unreal live, if you have the chance to see her next tour, do it!
Glad you enjoyed it so much too, can’t wait for her next world tour!
I saw her in LA and her voice is just absolutely incredible. She does things with her voice I’ve just never seen all in one person before and it’s just as good live. The last concert I went to was creepy nuts in Osaka and no one had their phones out then either and I have to agree, it makes the experience so much better to have everyone in the building all locked in and experiencing the same thing. Something special about that.
I bet Creepy Nuts was fun live. That's awesome 👌
i've been to her concert in dusseldorf and i agree with everything you said, it was truly amazing!
Watching Ado live is a whole another experience. Got to see her live in Japan and in the US now! Glad to hear you had a great time :)
Saw her show in London. Was literally the best time of my life. My fave song from her was Gira Gira and motherland I hope I get to see her again
I'm from Canada and I drove down for this and I don't regret it one bit.
She has such an amazing energy that pulls you in and you can really feel how all the band members are having fun with them dancing around the stage. The people there were really nice too. I was having trouble seeing the stage during the first half of the show and a taller gentleman offered his spot to me and I couldn't be more grateful. I saw someone who presumably only had the SRO tickets in the balcony as they got escorted off, but I was able to see Ado pretty clearly after that and I got sucked in by the performances and started cheering and chanting with the crowd.
I was kind of in shock when she said "This is gonna be the last song. listen to my song, show!" and was like no way and joined the chant ENCORE and MO I KAI and ADO.
If she performs in Chicago I'm for sure coming down to see her concert again. This time I think I'll fly though as a 16 hour drive each way is pretty rough XD
She said that she want's to perform in Chicago again so fingers crossed.
Loved this !
PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!
It was really funny that she burst out laughing when the crowd started chanting that
LMAO, she liked deep dish 🍕 it seemed
I was also at the Chicago concert and met some cool Ado fans and had a blast. Her voice live is even wilder in person
I was there and 100% agree with everything you mentioned. The sound was the best mixing I've experienced at a live show EVER
Like this style of content, I think it would be really neat to cover more concerts you go to like this could be a cool content niche to do now and then. Editing is on point as well.
Thx! I'm going to Dirty loops next week
The girl on the keys? Her energy was crazy! I loved her
you said you'll make a follow up post but when I didn't see any, I knew this would be coming lol im so glad u turned it into a video! im excited to hear ur thoughts!
I really liked your description of your experience. I hope one day I can go to one of her concerts. ❤
big love from italy!!❤️🔥🇮🇹
I went to the concert in brussels and was in the front row and the concert was amazing apart from the few people who were recording I loved the suprise cover of stay with me
Went to her concert in Malaysia, and it was the best live concert ive ever been to! Met a japanese girl with a 40-50 years old japanese woman during the concert. Gave that little girl my lightstick as a souvenir for her. If those two are somehow connected to Ado (maybe her mom or her sister??), I'll be forever happy with that moment and hope the little girl is happy with my gift.
Thank you Ado. Please come again to Malaysia. God bless you and Mr. Tony here 💙🖤
I saw Ado's show in Austin. My favorite aspect of the show was just the atmosphere and vibe of all the people. Just like you mentioned, everybody was so happy, and hearing your favorite songs made everything even more hype! Now, it's important to note that this was my first concert experience ever, so I never thought about how much of a difference it was for people to not have their phones out the whole time. It truly did make it feel more engaging since the only thing to be focused on was the performance. Prior to the concert there were many songs of hers that I had never heard before, and after realizing how much of a difference it was in hearing a song for the first time, versus hearing a song that you know and love, I had to listen to everything multiple times. If she has another concert within a reasonable travel distance I'd love to go and see it once again, this time with more knowledge of her music.
THE BEAN!!!
Been to Chicago 3 times and went to that park each time. I think the last time I went, many years ago, there was a music festival going on, but there was an agenda so I did not stay for much of it.
I was at that same show! It being my first live concert, I was completely blown away with her performance and the atmosphere of the show! I was so glad I managed to attend!
You just told me a story about going to a gig in Chicago and you had me hooked.
It was a quick 10 minutes and 7 seconds !
I love " Odo (踊)"✨✨
Thanks Tony. Ryan Mear had good words to say about you. How was it meeting him? Happy you had a great time!
Hahahaha! We had a great time. Ask him about the jazz bar 🤣🤣
I think you were near the house of blues in one of those clips. It's a restaurant with live music and is also a venue for concerts. This is a huge round parking garage nearby.
Yea that's exactly correct. I tried to go my first night but it was closed
Bro im so HYPED im going to the austin one
Went to her show in London 2 weeks ago, and it was an unforgettable experience. If she ever does another tour I will definitely be going again! The handling of people in and out of the concert was horrible though (especially out of the venue where they tried to push all 3000 people out at the same time while yelling like crazy)
OMG!!! I was at that show! Ado's stage presence and energy is INSANE and the crowd was so amazing (im the girl in the staff video around 5:07, jumping and screaming wearing the white button up) 😂😂😂 It was genuinely a dream come true. I've been wanting to go to an Utaite concert for YEARS!
I was at her concert in Paris and it was the best experience I had in my life ! You are so right about the fact that not seeing everyone one their phone is amazing, I personally wouldn't rank it Top 1 of the best things of the concert because I was simply mesmerized by her voice and body language on the stage (I was in the pit so very close to the stage), but I totally get your point and hope that more western concert will adopt this habit of forbidding phones during concerts even though it would be extremely difficult given how rooted to our culture it is now. Anyway very cool video, it's nice to see people different perspective and experience about Ado's show. I really hope that she will do another world tour someday because I want to experience that again.
I went to the Brussels concert, and it was so amazing! Kinda sad that a LOT of people in Brussels were filming and using their phones. Still, it was a lot less than a usual concert, so I still loved it, Ado’s voice is truly amazing for being so strong throughout the entire concert.
2:08 as an italian im soo happy to hear this, that aint no pizza 😭 come to Naples bro
I have been to Naples many times. My grandfather was from there
@@DrumRollTonyReacts ahh my man, no wonder you couldnt enjoy chicago pizza. anyway ive also seen ado live in bruxelles, i 100% agree with ya that she was fantastic
Went to the LA concert and had an amazing time!! Your point about studio vs live sound is so accurate. I actually feel like I’m missing something in the studio recordings now. I think the energy Ado brings during her live shows just adds so much to the music that you don’t get in recordings
Great video. I was afraid the cage would take away from the performance, to find out it adds to the performance really makes me want to see her live.
Mannn, I am a big fan of Adooo 🤩 . SHE'S ON DIFFERENT LEVEL !!!! AND THERE'S ALSO "TUYU" MAN. I'M FILIPINO BUT MY PHONE SONG LIST ARE ALL JAPANESE MUSIC 😂😂
I was at Chicago too! It was the best concert I have EVER been to.
This artist is maybe unheard of and i think she's really underrated. She only does the 3 openings for ancient magus bride anime as far as i know. Her voice to me is like a mix of ado with lisa. I think you should give it a listen. Artist name is Junna and two of her opening songs i like were, "here" and "nemurasareta lineage".
Great video!! I’m so happy for you :) I wish I could go see her too!
Wish i could have met you there, such an amazing concert
I'm glad you enjoyed the show, really wanted to attend the LA concert cause that's the closest from where i'm at but I didn't know about the pre sale so most of the tickets got scalped, hopefully I can catch her if she does another world tour.
The Chicago concert was a blast. I flew 1300 miles with a cousin that got me into Ado and it was well worth it. We tried looking for you in the crowd but couldn’t find you. Glad to hear you enjoyed it like the rest of us.
I'm so jealous, when i saw that her Europe venues were all on the north side i was so mad.
It was so amazing! I wish I could see it again already!
10000%
im going to see her in LA tonight. super excited
The vlog section was awesome, hope you get to do more eventually!
I'm so jealous
I wish she came to my area
What a night, eh!
Epiccccc
I managed to go to her london concert and the way i actually screamed when readymade started playing. a truly unforgettable experience and i even met some fellow vocaloid/ ado fans!
Dude I'm glad you had such a great time, I was meant to go to the concert but I missed it cause my flight was delayed by 3 hours so I got there JUST as it ended
Oh man!!!! That sucks. Day of flights are hard and nerve wracking
@@DrumRollTonyReacts yeah lmao, but it wasn't all bad, I still enjoyed myself in Chicago (it actually being my first time there aswell) and it was my first experience flying so overall I still enjoyed myself, I'll get it next world tour lol
I'm so sad I missed out on this show 😭 I set a Google calendar reminder for when the tickets would go live, and I never got the notification. After hearing your experience, I'll be even more on top of it if she ever comes back to the states.
There was a lot of resale on ticketx.app
@@DrumRollTonyReacts I'll definitely keep my eye on that next time. Thanks!
I went to the same concert! She started 15 minutes early for some reason so I missed the first songs bc i was in the merch line still (big mistake- get merch afterward). I was wondering if one of those first songs was her cover of unravel- i was looking forward to hearing that live but i think i missed it.
P.S. Ado said in a live radio broadcast from Chicago to Japan that Chicago pizza was very delicious. She also said that the small size in the US is the large size in Japan. Apparently, she couldn't finish it and took it back to the hotel.
Haha I bet. Our food system and portions are whacked out
I was at her NYC show last week and was blown away by the experience, just like you described. Also, 100% agree with you on the no-phone experience - I loved it! I want more shows like that. Might also be because I'm in my late 30s and grew up in a time before ubiquitous devices.
I wanted to ask your thoughts on hearing protection at live shows. Were you using any for this concert? I feel like I would have been in pain without my Etymotic earplugs. I was surprised to not see anyone else near me using hearing protection at the NYC show. I love music so much and it scares me to think of the damage I've already occurred from years of marching band without any protection. Music is a hobby I want to be able enjoy for the rest of my life!
I have ear plugs on my key chain. Buttttt that was in my hotel room. Oops. The years of teaching loud music is definitely an issue with my ears.
Chicago, How wonderful city!!!😮
MY GOAT! I saw her in cali it was such a blast
I just got back from her concert in LA and I strongly second all that you are saying here.
I flew in that morning and arrived in line at around 11:45, it was well worth the 8 hour wait!
Went to her concert in jakarta last february, boy i lost my hearing a bit, totally worth it
You should definitely check out her cover of " love me " by kikuo ... the emotion and vocals are top tier as always 💯
I just got back from her L. A. show - excellent performance, and I agree having everyone's phones locked away made for a much more connected experience. They filmed the L. A. show (we were told at the beginning), not sure if they did that for NY or Chicago. Looking forward to seeing live MVs released from the L.A. show. The support band and sound mixing were excellent, and the light show really put it over the top. Somehow the light beams gave the impression that the hall was full of smoke/fog, and they were able to apply filter effects/shapes on the light beams that looked like snowflakes. She played 21 songs in L. A. starting with Shin Jidqi and ending with Odo. The heavier EDM numbers where she flexes her vocals were straight 🔥, and the sea of moving light sticks in the audience was cool, especially when they changed from blue to red to match her stage lighting. . Glad to have caught her on her first world tour, and I would definitely see her again!
That'd a video I'm looking forward to seeing
Did you have any favourite songs from the concert specifically? I was hoping you’d get into that a bit
