The house they are moving back to is owned by a family member of there's. In Australia it's getting very expensive to rent but it's even more expensive to own a home atm. I hope your family is all doing well im happy your making vogs again I have missed watching them ❤
I’ve just come back to the UK from a month’s holiday over there & was asked by an Ozzie what I thought of the Country. Lovely - I said. So he said, ‘what about prices, is this the same as the UK’…..I nearly P’d myself laughing. ‘the same’, he said…..still laughing. Gosh, it’s so expensive over there ! I don’t know how a normal family manages.
I am assuming you are re renting your family members house. But why are you doing all the renovations ? I am confused why are you living rent free? Please let everyone know as a bunch of us are asking, I normally would not ask but your posting everything on ytube. I wish you good luck in your endeavour.
Trim and edging first and rolling last, that way when you roll, your done and you see the finished product. That's been my choice when painting. But seriously, it doesn't matter, just your own preference....
Ok I am confused. You were renting this home before you moved to the bigger house. Or, do you own this house? The landlords should pay for all this fixing up stuff you are doing. I can't wait to see the finished look. ❤
Their family own the home. They had wanted to develop the land, but it hasn't happened, so theyre moving back in to save money
This, from what i can remember, is the grandparents' old home or someone in the family who owns it, i remember her talking about it when they lived there
I’m pretty sure it’s someone in the family owns it. I’m sure I remember them saying that ages ago
It's a family members house
A family member owns this house so they were renting through them. I think it was someone on Eric’s side
Cut in first, then roll.
So you’re moving back into the tiny house? I’m so confused
Cut in then roll, might of been better to leave the top part white then it wouldn't be so dark.Hope you get sorted soon.Wheres Kaitlyn going?
Roll before cut in
Im just totally confused
They are moving. Sick to the smaller place because it’s cheaper rent and they can save more to buy a house.
Love ❤your post gotta do what you gotta do you all are so handy with your skills sure did miss you😢all glad you are back 🥰
It's a lot of worth but is always worth it in the end when you can see what all you accomplished.
I cut then roll I’m not sure what the exactly correct way to do it is, but as long as it gets done thats what matters
hi guys just a bit confused as to why you are moving do you own this house
A family member owns it, I believe.
Finances
Extended family own the home
I had that colour for my bedroom as a girl. It was quite dark so Dad mixed in a can of white paint too. Lovely job!!
My dad did the same thing for my daughters bedroom. He got one gallon of pink. The one she choose. He had to add 2 1/2 gallons of white to tone it down. Needless to say it stayed pink for a long time. 😅
You have a lot of work to do , do you own this now if not shouldn’t all that work have been done for you 😊😊😊xx❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌺🦋🌺🦋🏠🏠🏠
We cut and edge first. Makes it easier for when you roll. The colour is Beautiful. U are both very hardworking parents. All the best ❤
lots of hard work being done......it will be great when you are all moved back in so you can settle in.....love that u r back!!!!!!
I love the colour you've chosen, most house painters start with the cut in/edges then roll in long strokes, but in the end it's your decision on how you do it. I would have left the white above the timber strip because it made the room feel and look bigger, but again its your choice.
2 yrs went fast. Will this make school run quicker ? I bet you will miss the extra bathrooms.
Malinda and Eric, just scrolled through the comments on the last several videos, as it seemed like people were getting kind of nervy about sharing their opinions on what is going on with your family. What gets me is the fact that some had no problem telling you what you were doing wrong (in their opinion) and I didn’t hear you ask them for advice! You are one sweet, kind and patient person, Malinda, if you can take the unasked for questions without being rude back to them.
I’ve been following your precious family since the beginning and absolutely love seeing how you manage the ups and downs of a large family life. Please ignore the rudeness of certain people, as the majority of your followers surely love your family as I do.
Hugs from Hammond, Louisiana! 🌷
Well said 😊
hi are you renting this home hun if you are them the landlord should be doing this work kathy xxxx
'cut in then roll :)
If you had read through the comments yesterday OR the day before you would have read a member of the family owns this house, so I assume they will now rent it from them
Did you buy this home??
No…renting
Malinda, you and Eric work well together at home renos.
I’ve always found it blends better if you do the cut first.
Nice colour 👍😊
Love the high ceilings!! Is the girls new room in the little boys old room???
you could put led strip light around rhe ceiling of girls room
I cut then roll. Thats what my uncle taught me and hes a painter
We roll first then cut in. Love the color you chose for the girls room. Bless your hearts, so much to do but looking good.
I love the volour of the girls room my late mums favorite colour can't wait for hou all move in love fran xxx
Loving the renovation vlogs. Can't wait to see the final result xx
Cut in the skirts, corners and cornices then roller
Like the new opening.
You should have taped it would save a lot of cleanup as those skirtings are too nice to destroy.
We did, there's blue tape on it
Lovely to see all the changes in the house 😊
Looking great guys!
For those who might be wondering how such a large family could fit into 3 bedrooms, its doable.
Depending if: The rooms are big enough. If you can fit two triple bunks and a trundle in, its all good.
If the land is big enough, extra rooms can be built on upward or outward. Older children can live in a caravan on the property for privacy if need be.
Its a matter of thinking outside the box.
This is a great way to save money in the long run.
But they are renting it so can’t add extra rooms ?
I think they were using extra rooms as bedrooms…like there was a seperate dining room they were using as a bedroom etc
The two older children are not living with them so is that 9 in 3 rooms. Easy 😊
I’m sure Caitlin she said isn’t going to be there and Andrew either. So that two less kids. You get bunk beds or even they have triple bunks now it’s more then doable. My sister has seven kids and also me and my mom lived there too and we made do with three or four bedrooms. My mom had a makeshift room in the downstairs basement area and the boys shared one room and the girls another
@@tracey8506actually it’s 11 but still doable.
Cut in first
You both are such hard workers. The colour you painted the girls rooms is beautiful. ❤
It’s a pretty colour but too dark for the room I feel. This is a very dark house…dark wood floors, dark woodwork & the windows aren’t large. A pretty lilac could have been found with more white in it. NOT trolling - just my opinion.
Could you fill us in as to what is happening please. Are you buying this house, or renting. I realise it was your family that owned it, now curious. I wouldn’t want your family to have to move again in a hurry. I also realise the renovations are to make it comfortable for the family. I would like for you to have assurance of tenancy.
The house belongs to a family member who rents it cheap to them. There is no assurance of tenancy anymore in Australia…but they will have it as the house belongs to family.
Eric is a machine, man of many talents and trades!
He has always been a hard worker and great Dad. He spends such quality time with his children. I also love when he Vlogs, he is so funny and makes the Vlogs very enjoyable to watch.
I wish you guys the absolute best, I love the passion and care you put in making the house good for your wonderful kids, its tight but you guys make it work!! I was wondering if you could do any modifications to the kitchen, maybe take out cabnets that are behind the table just to give you more room in there or maybe make it into more of a table with bar stools for the big kids. I remember it was so tight and most of the kids are much bigger now and I love how they all sit to eat together.
Hope this goes well and apeedy for you guys
Are the older kids in college?
We dont have the emphasis in Australia on University, so here we dont push our kids to something that gets them nowhere. We have such a high wage here its not an issue.
Kaitlyn is in university and Andrew is doing an apprenticeship. Stephen is in year 11.
