USA is for hard workers. If lazy, don't bother. 50 States. All a little different. All with unequal opportunities. I have lived in 5 of some of the best.
I understand you confusion. The visitors Visa is issued to people to visit America as tourists. You are not legally allowed to work when you visit. In the early days, the system was very flexible so people come in with a visitors visa, over stated and try to get their papers. You can see an immigration laywer who can assist you the go about it. As long as you entered legally, your chances of changing your status is high. But if you entered illegally, there is where you may have problems. But now, after September 11, a lot of immigration reforms have been put in place and making things touch. But still people get the opportunity. When your status is changed from a visiting immigrant to a green card or permanent residence status, depending on how your status was change, you have either 2 years or 5 years to become a citizen ot naturalized.
Within the time frame, you will be working, pay your taxe, be law abiding, not criminal records on your file, no traffic violations or tickets. You will then take a test and when passed you will become a neutralized citizens.
A lot of times, I hear people saying "I went with a tourist visa and now working on my papers(green card)". Can someone explain to me the meaning of this?? I usually get confused with these concepts
Have you ever applied for a visa or traveled on a visa before? If you have, you should understand it. If you haven’t, see me in chambers for explanation
Visa is just a tool to enable one visit to a particular country but for one to have a stay in another country, you need to get a resident permit (stay permit). Visa only allow one to visit another country and return but not to stay.
Muhammad, your explanation of residence permits and visas is not accurate. Some countries have their residence permits in the form of visas placed in the passport. You have to state the categories of visas. Visiting visa, business visa. Work visa, etc. each category has different rules

Those women getting the money should invest it wisely by not using it to cook for men and given it to pastors.

You can't work with a tourist visa, it does expire, you become illegal. Only getting a green card makes you a resident with the right to work.

Some visa applicants get the residence permit right from the place they apply.
