Youre dressed like you and your brother Mario are about to go out to crush Bowser and save a princess, but you cant be out too late because you have to be up early in the morning to farm sick metal.
--PINNED--
Yeah this is my current sub-zero temperatures get up.
@@brainsmasher666 I need to find something similar, it's snowing today!
@@brainsmasher666 Could you please tell me the intro bm song? Cheers!
Man thanks so much for this! This video spoke to and aroused me. Love and own the Morgue and Deteriorate and the rest are high on my want list. Especially that Decrepit!
I could listen to stupid Midwest death metal like Decrepit all day and be very. Glad you're on the mend.
Great shit man! Came up as a recommended video. Subscribed.
I forgot about Experiment Fear! Great song and video🤘
All great stuff. I need the Oppressor and Ceremonium albums.
Sweet picks man! The nineties was such a fecund time for this shit. Been listening to Crimson Relic's 'Purgatory's Reign' LP recently, which I consider another a sick B Tier release
That oppressor just came out on vinyl again some months ago on a label from china(Huangquan Records),great quality also.nice video ben, cheers grom greece.
Yeah I wanted to grab it but it was insanely expensive.
Dude i just stumbled across your channel, fucking brilliant stuff.

Great suggestions that I’ll check out.
Didn’t know Simon is in hospital.
That box labelled ‘Bi- ch’ has got to be deliberate !! All your Britney spiers LPs would be in there so it’s kinda fitting !
Hahaha!
The St Anger snare. 4:30. It’s cool to be into more obscure shit, but it doesn’t always make it better. Deicide are where they’re at because GB articulated, sang with anger and hatred that made you feel like he meant it. And not to mention once upon the cross and Serpents is just as good if not better than their first 2
I agree on the Deicide. Serpents of the Light is super fun.
Cool picks. For me Morgue and Decrepit are my faves. But all these are really good and are in my collection as well. Also the EP from Agony that came after the album called "L.i.f.e.". That one is also really good but very hard to find.
I will have to listen to that ep. Thanks!
I just got a sweet Deteriorate Mexican boot shirt. Needless to say, this video speaks to me.
BRB, I'm headed out to gather up some nebbish.
I'm really enjoying this Slingblade Fit, btw.
If I were to throw out a humble recommendation, may I suggest Gorelust's "Reign of Lunacy" - killer Quebecois technically leaning proto brutal DM. Kinda like a Cryptopsy Jr, but considerably more raw.
John Bukowski is a saint.
Cool to stumble on your channel. You've got quite the collection and knowledge. My holy grail of death metal is Silhaven -- Mirror. Lent my cassette to a girlfriend 20+ years ago and never got it back.
Wow, I've never heard of them, I will have to add this to my wishlist.
@brainsmasher666 I have looked and looked and looked. If you find a copy lemme know.
It’s great to see Morgue be recognized. I’ve been an advocate of theirs for years, since discovering them.
Love your channel man. 👌👌🤘🤘 you stay putting me on to stuff. 90s death metal is the best.
Thanks for the kind words!
Oppressor Absolutely Crushes! ...And I just read that some of the members would go on to be in the band Soil.🤦♂Going to check out Ceremonium next. Great Video Brainsmasher.
So just an update...I've listened to all 6 albums recommended in this video and all 6 are absolute Gold with Deteriorate's Rotting in Hell being my personal favorite of the bunch. I need that album cover on a T-Shirt.
Awesome vid, not heard of any of these bands, i'll need to check some out. 🤘
Be sure to report back on your findings.
hell yeah, smash my brain! lol.
years ago there was a local buy and trade store that had a selection of random metal cds, but he closed shop a long time ago. i've not been able to blind buy or randomly physically dig into any extreme metal since. i miss it.
Excellent picks! \m/
Thanks for the support!
Always happy to support a fellow death metal brother!! Will be checking out your channel from now on@@brainsmasher666 \m/
Just discovered your channel clicked subscribe as soon as the intro hit horns up sir
Man dude just thinking about digging through those boxes to get CDS give me a headache haha I remember you talking about that agony record in the past! its such a killer record. I really gotta get a copy of that deteriorate album. As well as ceremonium! 🍻
It's not so bad. Motivates me to get the basement finished
Great recommendations! 🤘 Deteriorate is especially killer...
Killer mentions! Great bands!
Thanks for watching!
I see Ceremonium in a thumbnail, I subscribe. Great video.
Thank you!
DETERIORATE!!!!! Thanks for giving that album some love and exposure! CLAAAAASSSSIIIIIIICK! OPPRESSOR too?! OOOooooh Weeee!!!!!
That fucking blastbeat at the end of talking about Decrepit, gawd dayum. Kinda reminded me of Crimson Massacre for some reason.
Holy cow. My kind of video right here. You are showing my favorite stuff. The obscure stuff is the best in my opinion as well. So many great bands you are showing. This is a death metal porn video in my eyes. haha
Thanks Steve! You rule!
haha I'd never noticed that pic of SImon on your wall before - poor chap I hope he gets well soon and sad that I can't hang out with him and see Mortiferum this Friday
Dude it took him soooooo long to notice it! It's was a riot when he finally saw it.
just discovered I own the Ceremonium album on the Dreams We Have Written compilation CD which looks to have everything - man this is pretty damn heavy
That's a killer release! The 7" tracks are devastating. I bet it's easy to get Weird Truth releases down there.
I have that Ceremonium as cassette. Oppressor, Deteriorate.... cool stuff. Remembering the tape trading in the 90's. There were so many cool bands, but unfortunately some of them didn't get a chance to release even one album. Some were so called "one album wonders", but those selected few's are still pure gold. I still love searching new obscure bands.
Man, like finding a metal gem in the wild, in a sea of mediocre DM youtubers you popped up to talk about that REAL shit. Easy sub 🤘
Hails! Thanks for the comment! More like this to come!
Wow! That Ceremonium album is awesome! Massive fan of MDB and that’s right up there🤟
Glad you enjoyed it!
More of this please!
List of the albums here, please. Great work. Appreciate it.
Great list, all fantastic albums although my favorite Oppressor is the amazing Polish band of the same name who only had demos, specifically their 1994 demo "Blasphemous Thoughts"...killer stuff.
Into the Autumn Shade is one of my top Death/Doom albums back in the day. What a nice CD. I totally recommend bands like Mystic Charm, Visceral Evisceration, Crystal Darkness and Decomposed (UK).
Wow I've never heard of Crystal Darkness! This is excellent! Thank you!
Of course I already love Visceral Evisceration, Mystic Charm and Decomposed!
Uh boy! I used to be fucked up with doom/gothic metal bands (2018-2019) Literally my place to chill out was a cemetary. 🤣 Mostly from Funeral Doom bands such as Comatose Vigil, Consummatum Est, Fallen, Abstract Spirit and many more. They are several Italian bands that I still enjoyed till these days like Cultus Sanguine (check out their earlier stuff from last year), Monumentum, How Like A Winter and Black Twilight. Cheers and keep doomEND!
I started collecting JLA albums, just like classic Napalm Stuff. I started with Organic Infest - Penitence. JLA is land of the hidden gems for sure. They have an awesome cassette that has a song from each band in the label that’s really good I forget the name.
Yeah I think I have both JL comps on CD. One was called Brutal Aggression.
@@brainsmasher666 that’s it!
nice crystal age banner !
Ceremonium crushed all back in the day!
Saw the overalls and had to follow. Not dissapointed by the content.
Haha! Thanks!
That looks like my stack of boxes of CDs lol.
You got a Sickening Gore album in that S box?
Abnegation?
Brodequin?
Brutality?
Heralds of Oblivion vol 1.?
Rotting?
Anasarca?
Crisis?
Eternal Suffering?
Ill disposed?
Infernal torment?
Pentagoria?
I have Morgue: Eroded Thoughts too. OG CD press also. Do you like the band TRANSMETAL? I have an original CD press of their 1992 album titled Burial At Sea. Also released on Grindcore Records. Good stuff
No I need to get some Transmetal!
There are tons of hidden and obscure gems in the metal underground. I keep discovering fantastic stuff on youtube and the archives through reviews and forums. A metalhead shouldn't limit his search with the entry level stuff like Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse or Deicide.
For a moment I though I clicked on a video about gardening tips.😅 We need to know more about lesser known bands with good albums.
Heads up Brain, Oppressor was from Mount Prospect, IL. not Wisconsin =)
I just added all of these to my Spotify albums. Unfortunately, a couple of those aren’t on there.
It was '89 to '92 that I cut my teeth regarding tape trading and finding the obscure. In '89/'90 Abominations of Desolation was doing the rounds on tenth generation tape and then on bootleg LP (still have my Satanic Records LP, from '91). Most of the Deaf Records line-up are killer releases, especially Impaler and Prophecy of Doom. Plus there was Morpheus Descends and the New York scene. Great days.
Love Deteriorate
Oppressor is actually from Chicago, but nevertheless good video and good picks!
Yeah I knew that but as usual I misspoke.
Are those pallets of cds in your basement? Fuck I’m jealous.
The "pingy snare" is probably a piccolo snare :)
I always wondered what my death metal basement would look like if I never left it!
Hahaha! This is actually on my second floor. My basement needs redone
🤘🤘
Awesome I just got into this kind of music and all Spotify ever plays is same obituary or Metallica shit so this helps I can search all these up 😎
Num Skull- When Suffering Comes & EVIL INCARNATE- Blood of the Saints
Don't forget Insatanity, "Divine Decomposition," and Demilich, "Nespithe"!
That Decrepit sounds killer. Only one available on Discogs is £51 !@__[
Worth it!
@brainsmasher666 Hopefully it'll get a repress mate.
I have the Morgue album, and yeah, it's fuckin SICK!
Anybody notice the MARDUK tapestry in the background "OPUS NOCTURNE
That morgue album is S tier for sure. Criminally underrated.
Thanks!
What’s the intro song???
Ceremonium are great, i prefer the 2nd album No Longer Silent. I also have a love of the obscure bands. Some of my favourites being Accidental Suicide, Imprecation, Dementor ( Slovakia), Fermenting Innards ( Ger ), Impaler ( UK ) and Korpse ( UK ).
Dude I LOVE Fermenting Innards! Which Korpse should I check out?
@@brainsmasher666 they only released 2 albums " Pull The Flood 1994 " and " Revirgin 1996 ". Both were released on Candlelight Records.
The Chicago 3: Oppressor, Broken Hope, Fleshgrind
Demented Ted too
Hard to believe that Oppressor did a tour with Cradle of Filth in those years!
Wow I didn't know that.
Also, hard to believe that they moved on to form Soil!
🤘💀🤘💀🤘💀
Loved Oppressor, then came Soil. Like WTF? Thr hidden, underrated masterpiece to me has always been Pyrexia - Sermon of Mockery. Talk about a drummer in the pocket. If you're not familiar with it...check it out. No way to be disappointed Jungle Rot, also.
I would consider Benediction a B tier band, but Transcend the Rubicon is one of my favorite death metal albums. Their new album was great but they have lots of mediocre albums
What your thoughs on Vile - Stench Of The Deceased (1999)? ua-cam.com/video/PJ9vuQjRUBA/v-deo.html
💀⚔💀🤜💥🤛💀⚔💀
Brah brah got ads.
You have a gamer chair.
@@brainsmasher666 i wish
Gates Of Ishtar……I don’t know you would label them, they were fuckin great back then
All crap, except Ceremonium.
This right here is what we call in the biz, a "bitch ass opinion"
It just missed the decade but I always thought Vital Remains-Dawn of the Apocalypse destroyed basically everything. Black death I guess but still.
Vital had some really great releases that's for sure.
