I am so impressed with the three of you. I am 73 years old and that was once one of my goals to walk that trail and also the Appalachian Trail. Unfortunately I waited too long and now in bad health. But I truly enjoy watching this video so much that I even watched the commercials all the way through. I hope that helps you out
A big hello 👋 to the three Amigoettes. It is good to see all of you again. Greetings from Sacramento County. The three of you are really an inspiration to the hiking community. It's good that you have a plan to beat the heat. All the best to the three of you. Take care, be safe and healthy out there. 🤗🤗🤗
I have been quietly watching your adventures for about 2 years now. I always look forward to your next video and your next adventure. You are such an encouragement for living life full of challenges, growth and experiences no matter your age. Keep moving forward in life to the best of each one's own personal ability. I volunteer with a group called Pass to Pass, (passtopass.org), in which we support and encourage those living with Parkinson's Disease to backpack portions of the PCT in Washington and Oregon. We go on trips that are each 5 nights long. We have llamas with us to carry most of the Parkies', (those living with Parkinson's), gear. You will be entering my area at the end of your Washington hike. I live near the North Cascades. I would absolutely love to support you in some way! Maybe pick you up at Hart's Pass if you are planning to backtrack to Hart's Pass rather than entering Canada? Timing could be the tricky part. I finish my last hike for the season with PtP on August 16th.
It is so strange to watch you all walk through an area that I struggled though, moving south. Same views, same concerns, same successes. You all are the most amazing hikers. 2👍.
I don't know how you all take that heat!? I'm finding the older I get the worse I do in it! God bless you ladies.. Looking forward to enjoying this hike with you!
You ladies are making me terribly homesick for northern California. Oh how I miss seeing those sights every year. Thank you so much for taking me back if only virtual. Be safe and best of hiking🦋❤
GORGEOUS scenery! Tracy and Jan are true trail angels for sure. I LOVED those Falls. You three got this. Uplifting you with good thoughts and positive vibes. Thanks for taking us along.
New to your site; learned about it a couple of weeks ago from a (older male) CDT thru-hiker to whom I gave a ride up to a trailhead here in WY. Good, reassuring to see other women around my age enjoying backpacking at a sane (humane?) slower pace, calmly dealing with the realities of challenging weather, terrain, and ordinary mortal's aging joints/bodies. Look forward to reading more about your travels (while I'm supposed to be working--boo!). Wishing you fair weather and safe and happy trails.
Love watching your videos! You gals are such an Inspiration! You encourage me to always find JOY in hiking no matter what the trail brings at ya. Enjoy your journey! From a fan in Southern Oregon
I’ve driven through Hat Creek area dozens of times and it is always HOT. Looking at PCT in my 60 year old future, it seems to me that this area is as bad or can be worse than the desert because of heat. Idk, I’ve hiked and backpacked and so on. The heat is my only real fear. I haven’t fared so well in some situations. I so enjoy your journey. It makes me feel that this is still doable for me. Not thru hike so much but flip flopping.
Love following sections with you on the DeLorne Map - pg 48, then 38 ( mi 1377ish to 1419ish). So itchy to get out. Water is very low near me (Waiting for after Summer for Section Upper H, I, J.) Be careful in the heat! It's hot down here too (mi 208ish)
You gals need neck coolers. Rei carries them. They are like a folded bandana. When you put the center in water it expands. Then tie around your neck and creates evaporation on you arteries in you neck keeping you cool. Doesn’t have to be clean water. After a day will evaporate away and be a flat scarf. I couldn’t live in Arizona without one. I will ship some if I know where.
Beast mode....you guys are rocking it even with all the heat...but you guys are some of the smartest hikers I've seen...and you get by with a little help from your friends...wonderful trail angels!!
Wow... we are having similar heat here in NM right now. Its in the 90s but we also now have smoke from fires in AZ blowing in so you can't breathe outside. What a nightmare of a start to the hiking/backpacking season! You ladies keep it up, you make me smile. Love your positivity.
Great beginning! You three are awesome! One piece of music that you use is a twelve bar blues. I keep expecting you to burst out singing a blues song about hiking in the heat and blazing sun! 😁
Such beautiful scenery but such hard work. You are inspirational! You certainly inspire me to get out there and walk in the mountains as much as I can. Where I live, in S.E. Spain, the temperatures are pretty similar to that, starting around now till September. I am exhausted without carrying a full backpack and then I can rest and recover for a day or two. Hats off to you women, or actually you had better keep your hats on!!!🌼🏞️💮
So glad to see that you are safe and enjoying the trail - the photography is beautiful- love those flowers and the waterfall was amazing--thank you for inspiring me once again
You are all awesome!!! Love all the flowers. Wish I was close to give you trail magic! We're in a heat wave here in Upstate NY also. I feel like I need to make a WaWo shirt.
Recently found your channel and am loving it!! You're making me want to get out and hike! Really excited to follow your journey, thanks for taking us along!
Wow, hot day. The Falls certainly looked inviting, are you allowed to take a dip? We have those very hot days ( hotter! ) in Australia, and you are so right, look after your body with fluids, rest and shade where available. Heat stress is not an option, take care. 🍦🍹🍦🌭
I am in the McCloud area 2 miles from Cabin Creek Camp and am willing to drive you ladies anywhere you need for resupply. I am so impressed with you all and follow you and your trips. Would love to meet you somehow;...
Lynn does the knee brace help? I screwed up my left knee in april coming down Guadalupe mountain in tx. It swelled up huge . After a month Iwent to an orthopedic Dr. who told me I had arthritis. I'm barely 60 and just getting started. I have been backpacking several times with boy scouts.. He told me i could hike on flat land all i want. i told him that wasn't going to happen. I"m icing and riding a stationary bike. Any suggestions guys?
Slack packing is when you hand off all, most or some of your pack someone. That someone and you agree on a plan of where and when to get your gear back. It allows you to hike without the full weight of your pack so potentially going more miles or at a faster pace.

I live in Burney and seeing you do the PCT through here is incredible. My one goal in life is to do the PCT. you three are amazing 🤍
Y'all are awesome! Hike on, my sisters! 💛💛💛
You all are so inspiring! I’ve never done a thru hike and at 50 I thought it was too late. You all give me hope 🙏

You girls are troopers! Loved to see all the wildflowers! Amazing they weren’t wilting in the heat!

Yea! Another video from the Amazing Wander Women! ❤️ Y’all! I cant imagine how tough this is and I admire you so much🥰. Keeping the dream alive!
Wow i admire you all. I would probably be hiking at 3am. Beautiful though. Nice to have trail angels!
Wish I was along with you!!
You ladies are just awesome.
Great!! Lovin it, there's hope for me yet! I see a knee brace, I'd be using one also.
Great views and great trail angles!!! OMG Burney Falls are beautiful. Worth the walk in the heat to get there!!!
Truer words have never been spoken. Stay hydrated. Clean when you can. Eat hot dogs and ice cream when available.

If it feels muggy you take it off and swing it in the air and it will be really cool again.
I absolutely love that you say it doesn't have to be clean water. That's so us. :)
I was thinking the very same thing. 🤓🇨🇦
Wawo!!! You guys are amazing. I absolutely look forward to your updates!

Amazing, ladies! You are such an inspiration. I hope the heat breaks now as you move north. Happy trails.

Not sure how far you are from Dunsmuir but we could use a ride to the Trailhead tomorrow. Friday morning.
Legends! Stay safe.
Just curious...was that The Coats a’capella music in the video? Sounded like them. Love it! Great videos!
Love you all❤️👍👏🥰
❤️
How much does it cool off at night? Hope that offers some relief.
Way to go!

Find a Dr who is an athlete and tell him you need to be able to get out and be active.
What is slack pack?
