Fellas, these are the dudes they run with. From what I hear they just decided that it would be cool to see if some of their mates could rap too. They have a part 2 for this and Norman Pain (the shirtless guy) is in their track "Golf". It goes hard.
Obviously they all have practiced rapping. No matter what age you start, you don't have your "voice" and definitely of you're starting to rap at 60 - 70. So the fact that these guys have had some coaching to learn to deliver the lines, for me, takes nothing away from what they are doing.

"Golf" convinced me that they either write or have a heavy hand in the writing, because that track gets real personal, especially with Pete's verse

Mr auto-tone is Patrick (PKJ) Karnagh Jr, and the bald topless nutter is Norman Pain. They each have featured on 'Keys and Bags' (PKJ), and 'Golf ft Norman Pain'. They have solo projects, and together are the Northern Boys.
All are in the Sindhu World Empire, owned by Uncle Bal. He raps on the second 'Cypher', and on a track from P&B album 'Quick Little Mixtape', and has a single 'Fresh Hot Buns'

Norman Pain, the bare chested madman, has been running his own stuff for a spell and his solo work isn't funny or gimmicky, but dark and pretty personal. Patrick Karneigh Jr (the autotune guy), works with Norman in a comedy act called The Northern Boys that also absolutely has lyrics that read as old men screwing around. The rest? Thats a good question.
Maybe these “old dudes” inspired other old dudes. As an old person it makes me sad how surprised younger people are that we are still creative and breathing. I take solace in the fact you’ll be old one day and then you will understand when you become a joke no matter how well you can still LIVE you are still a joke.
They play Snooker together hence The Snooker Team.
Sindhu World is owned by Uncle Bal (in Windowframe Cypher 2). He funds them. They write and the grandkids help with modern slang. Baz has been doing music for time. They started rapping in 2017.

You have to look at some of their interviews with the boys. They're homies. Now, I cannot say for certain whether they 100% write all of their Rhymes all the time, I do not know. I will say that the other guys have their own group and they are Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for real. LOL😅
But either way, do we question other rappers about whether they write their own stuff or not to this degree?
The biggest rappers we know of have ghostwriters don't write their own bars. I understand, they really are just too epic that we can't believe it and must search for something to justify our disbelief. They're like unicorns.
What it really comes down to is the fact that their flow is dope and they have better delivery then many rappers putting out work right now. True. Whether they write their own Rhymes or not they're Cadence and their ability to spit fire is what I think counts the most. So to be fair to them, I think that when you call them a gimmick it cheapens what they're doing and is a bit of a cheap shot. They are still flowing like no tomorrow. Y'all are in your forties and they're in their 70s. A young man who's a teenager or early twenties could easily say the same thing about you boys 👀👀. To say you're work is a gimmick. That would not be cool nor would it be true. I'd say the same thing to them and tell them to respect their elders. Feel me? Besides, that's Ren in 40 years with all his mates! 😂 and in the song they're just rapping about hooking up with women. All men have done that, especially when you're that old! They got more stories than you do I bet! Haha anyways you got to do the window frame Cipher 2, Golf, and 'Pint and a fag'
Last thing, they do actually have something very unique going for them besides their age. The way that Pete and BAS bounce off of each and the way they structure their songs. It's quite brilliant and I've never heard any other Duo do it like they do. It works out perfectly in their favor because not only is it unique but by doing it that way neither one of them loses their breath. They are working their strengths to their advantage and it works! 👏💯

Norman Pain and PKJ legit rapping on some low key/self promo stuff a few years back, someone from 'the P&B team' found out about them PKJ and Norman featured in some P&B videos then got their own Sindhu World tracks - a couple of solo outings and a collab under the 'Norman Boys' name (with their mate Kevin bringing the two-step). Since becoming part of the Sindhu world PKJ and Norman have gotten more classic rap style - I think someone passed some old school Westside stuff their way for inspiration. This is common with hip hop, guitar band whatever, get signed by a label and introduced to some stuff or directed to take inspiration from it. There's some magic in the Sindhu/P&B/91 shots/Handsome Dexter team but I ain't got any inside track on it. Pre-Sindhu videos by Norman Pain and PKJ's mixtape don't do anything for me, but PKJ's Sindhu Sesh and Norman Pain's Fuck are fire.
Here PKJ and Norman Pain are with a few other guys under the name Snooker team. Snookers like pool but probably just a couple of them go down the snooker hall where Pete or Bas (probably) hang out! Albert Allen the guy doing jungle knows Pete from schooldays and is a drinking buddy. These guys have only a couple of bars to learn/deliver, and probably coached/have the stuff written for them but everyone's living their best life so its all good. Same formula is use for the Part 2 cypher. If you were an old geezer you'd do the homework for the props too.
I like the comedy Pete and Bas world as much as the hard drill stuff. Looks like it was filmed in some old hippy woman's den. They got some posh-talking old bit-part actor dude to pretend to be David Attenborough - he likes to comment on the reaction videos!
They're twice your age, with twice the experience. If you can write rhymes at your age, then they should be able to write twice the amount of rhymes at their age. You don't lose skill as you get older, you gain it.

Bas is a musician, so he would have a big part in writing, understanding and arranging things. Writers? Producers? I’m sure the people in the background do a majority of the heavy lifting when it comes to writing. But I think most big artists, especially when they get a bit of a name for themselves have people writing for them and offering them lyrics.

It brings questions but it brings smiles to audiences. I think these guys remind people that rap and hip hop had lost it's way and they are bringing it back to what it used to be...fun and uplifting. Also I think the sample on this is by Jethro Tull, a track called 'Rock Island' off the album of the same name.

I don't get why you think they don't write their own lyrics, writing rap lyrics isn't difficult it just takes time to come up with some clever bars and these guys have nothing but time. Also it's not like they just started doing this they been going for awhile now check out their song "Keys & Bags" compared to their more recent stuff and you can see the improvement these men have made.

Oh, for the record, my belief is P&B were into it from their grand kids, got picked up as a novelty by Sindhu who then advertised for other old folk to be backing and add to the world. I think the fact that they’ve been listening to this kinda stuff for maybe 6-7 years I’m not sure, puts it into perspective, cause I just don’t think it’s that hard to pick-up the lingo, and if you can rhyme the words, then you you just gotta put them together. As far as the others go, they are their mates basically, I’m sure they taught them and helped them wright. And bear in mind that some of the uk slang is old uk slang that my parents actually explained to me

That’s the problem, in hip hop your SUPPOSE to write your own shit and if you don’t it means nothing. Todays gen has let that skate to allow opinions like yours. Singing is different singers and songwriters have always been separate. If it wasn’t an issue the term “ghost” wouldn’t be included in front of writer when it comes to hip hop.

Being as old as i am and understanding the slang across the generations, They are using slang from 50 years ago up til the current date. They must be getting help on the current stuff. Maybe they just listen to daily duppys all day and a bit of Fumez the engineer. That will bring your slang right up to date.

When I was teenager just like you in the 90s I remember older people (30-40) year olds listen and living the rap life. Fast forward 25-30 years and you have 65-75 year olds that can rap. The difference now is people like your self review and allow everyday people around the world to experience something they would never have come by. Enjoy your show. Top 3 for me.

If you go back to the beginning of their rap career, you’ll find that they’ve gotten a lot better as time progressed. I still don’t know if they write their lyrics, but the guy with the auto tune and the dude without a shirt form another group, Northern Boys. I believe they actually write their own lyrics, and they both have solo endeavours. Patrick Karneigh Junior is the autotune guy, Norman Pain is the other guy. They return for Windowframe Cypher part 2.
I don't know how much of their stuff they write, neither does anyone else, aside from what they claim. But I love the mix of oldschool slang and new, makes it feel more genuine when most of the lingo is stuff they would have used or known. I doubt any of the others in this video wrote all their own lyrics, but its fun so I don't care

if you go into the 5 years ago pete and bas vids you dont see them working at a high level...you see them quickly progress as performers and hopefully the progression of their lyrics...it isnt day one bangers.

Lyrical word games seem to be a past time in the UK. So its not far fetched that some old dudes, having spent decades participating said word games, can write lyrics. I mean they turned a box standard and box deluxe to bog standard and dogs bollox. So whoever sold mechano toys as box standard and box deluxe, created two slang terms. I only know this because of Qi.
Cockney rhyming slang has been around since adam was a cowboy this is why it comes natural to people who have done it all their lives

I don't think they write or deliver vocals. When you see them perform live, Pete can't keep up with flows, even on some of the slower less technical tracks. Also, Check out Frank and Maury. You can tell that one of them is definitely Bas' voice. Sometimes, you can hear Pete's voice in the other guy (I don't know which is which).They tried it with some Yank old guys, but it didn't blow up as much as Pete and Bas. Plus, you'll hear similarities with the styles. I think the real people behind it used to rap around the early 2000's or have an affinity to that era of rap and grime. The grime style lends itself well to drill.

100% a production company using the Pete & Bas brand to try and repeat it, and some of it just to me looks COMPLETELY fabricated. That said, Pete and Bas always stand out among the group in lyrics and delivery. Of the group, PKJ (auto tune guy) has his own solo work and is part of the Northern Boys (who are fun, but not imo the same level as pete and bas). Norman Pain (shirtless, in golf) has some DARK DARK heavy auto tuned solo work and is with The northern Boys. No clue on the others. Their parts I think were kept short for a reason.

@@deanosaur808 who knows who has influenced these 2 over the years i was just making a point about how hiphop and rap is as old if not older than them. Personally i don't think these guys could perform as well as they do if they didn't have a hand in writing the lyrics, the way they flow on the track and off each other can't be ghost written in. i reckon it'll be rarer to find a bunch of actors to consistently pull off performances like this than it will be to find a bunch of old geezers who got bars longer than their walking sticks.
