Please read the description to see the errors if you would use this video as a source. I advise anyone who wants to use this video as a source to not make the same mistakes I have.
For people who might be confused with my Battle of San Mateo and Montalban portrayal: Let me explain.
This was a great mistake caused by confusion over the vagueness of the Wikipedia article. Since then, I've personally edited it this year (20 July 2023) and I don't know if I should make a remake or not to fix many mistakes, but we'll see.

I like how you emphasized the retreat of the Spaniards to the Visayas and northern Mindanao to leave for the motherland. This is what historians and mainstream textbooks tend to miss out, that their departure is immediate rather than preparatory after the 1898 Treaty of Paris.

Bacolod was the last stronghold of the Spaniards in the Visayas, they remained there until 1899. Cebuano speaking islands were liberated since 1898.

was weirded out when I saw a panel of this video in the Wikipedia page about the revolution.
Honestly, this is far better done than those taught to me in Grade 6.

@@DeliriumMaps I assumed you were foreigner when I saw how you work out your maps. These quality level work I know could be compared to those mappers like the guy who made a video about Poland every hour, or the European theater in numbers.
Also, it seems so, you're like the only one haha.

Something I find interesting as an American: The suppression of the Filipino resistance took over 19 years! I learned in class there were clashes between the Republic and the Union after the Spanish-American war that lasted for some time, but I never thought it was that long! After World War II, the public here has never again supported any faraway war for this long. Afghanistan and Vietnam were very long and did not yield victory in large part due to outrage from the public. The only people REALLY supporting these wars were the media and the military-industrial complex, and few really conscripted for such combat since there was little threat to their families back home. I think about this because even if there was an outright push for an American Imperium, it would simply never work. We just aren't that immoral in that way anymore, and we wouldn't wish to put our lives in peril for others to make a buck or expand the nation.

I agree in my humble opinion, in the end its people dying for the interests of the ones in power. No people is to blame for any senseless conflict

Afghanistan wasn't a failure due to lack of public support, it was a failure because we shifted our resources to Iraq. The only reason we stayed so long is because of the sunk-cost fallacy.

@@justinnamuco9096 By a longshot. Spain's empire was ready to pop. All of their other colonies fell very fast. All they had left were the Philippines after a couple weeks, and after the landing near Manilla, they saw the writing on the wall.

Hello Delirium! It's not often that I find someone like you that actually knows how to visualize history in the way you do. I am a college student from Mandaluyong and I am really hoping, from one history buff to another, if we could grab a chat about the history of NAMAYAN and how Mandaluyong has come to be (and other surrounding cities for that matter). In any case, I hope you continue to pursue your craft and find opportunities to foster your skills as a researcher and historian.
