I remember being the only kid on the block with game consoles and an in-ground pool. The neighborhood kids would come over to play this game all day and go swimming. We’d make maps and scenarios and spend the day having an absolute blast, then afterwards go swimming and eat sandwiches with potato chips in them, then back to playing video games. Miss those early 2000’s days.
I was 20 when it came out. Me my sis best friend and cousin used to play multiplayer day and night for months loved this game its a classic for sure of they remastered it for hd id buy it same day

You can see the lineage with Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Timesplitters. They share a lot of the same developers behind the scenes, but they share a charming sense of mayhem (Timesplitters 2 was rated Teen, back when that sort of thing mattered more). Playing them nowadays, you definitely notice how FPSs have evolved - regenerating health instead of health packs, two-weapon limits instead of larger arsenals, and loadouts instead of finding weapons on the map. You sort of made your own fun with bot matches. You'd pick a certain set of characters, a certain set of weapons, a map, a gamemode, and it was fun to mix and match all of that content together. I have a lot of fond memories of the Virus and Assault modes. Plus the map editor, and the Arcade modes, it was a generous game. Some days I really miss those sunny afternoons in front of the Gamecube!
Now that you mention it it does share 007 mechanics, i think combining new FPS style with this game would be amazing. Virus in the nightclub always made me sooo anxious haha. And the nice threads assault was one of lifes biggest challengrs
Okay dude, I liked your last video, but now you are tapping into one of my most beloved childhood multiplayer memories. Robot factory would make me so angry I would just go build maps to play with friends instead. I spent way too much time building the perfect maps to share. I miss that stuff. Also, Harry Tipper was my boy!
Thankyou man! Yeah I remember i didnt know how to build maps well and i just had endless blue and red tunnels with Nightclub music haha. So many good memories
I have so many good memories playing this with my brothers and friends on the PS2. So many moments and so many characters and modes to choose from. I still play it now on PS2 and Xbox but it's sometimes not the same when you don't have anyone to play with. I do enjoy the challenge modes all the same and fighting bots is fun though.
I'm not sure there's a game I think about more in my life looking back. So many memories made with myself and friends, in all of single player, coop, and split screen. I mean its a game I can play to this date and still enjoy endlessly. There was so much packed into that disc that I'm surprised it didn't require two (old school gamecube player). You can tell that these legends from Rare that went to Free Radical Design had so much love for what they created. They basically gave you the ability to create what they did through map maker, which to that date of launch there was very few games that had map editors (especially 1st persons). There's just so much beauty I've experienced with this game. That being said.... *INTENSE MANIC CLOWN LAUGHS* MR.GIGGLES WANNA SEE MY POCKET?!?
What's surprising playing this recently was that this game still runs at 60fps when playing 2 player splitscreen. Even to this day, no other game has done this. That's incredibly impressive
Robot Factory on hard is the closest I've ever come to giving up on living a normal life. Going to work, hanging out with your buddies, and none of them know what it's like in that last room with the SentryBots with the homing rockets. Can you share a life with people who've never been there? People who've never died as soon as they got into the final boss room because they didn't have any health left and had to do the entire SentryBot homing rocket fight all over again, for hours and hours on repeat, never learning or getting better? I nearly left it all behind - Moments away from going completely off-grid in a cave somewhere in Bhutan, away from everyone, where I could ensure I would never put anyone else at risk by making them play it too. Space Station is really fun though so I got over it
Of course! Watched some of your other videos! I love it, keep up the great content! Yes, likewise. I can't wait to see what Timesplitters stuff FRD are working on right now!!
Been a while since I played TS2, but I still remember my favourite playable character. There was this one multiplayer-only character who was a cartoony whale with a tophat, and has two schools of fish he uses as arms. Surprised he didn't get a mention in the video, but I'm pretty sure you had to dig pretty deep into the roster to find him.
Me and my friends have so many memories playing this game 🥲 Favorite character to play with in the game was the monkey bc u became literally 2 ft tall lol
I played TS1 when I got my PS2, then picked up TS2 when that came out, and finally I picked up TSFP when that came out, and played the hell out of them all. Being a Super Fast-Paced Arcade Boomer Shooter type of guy (and also an Arcade Light Gun Rail Shooter type of guy), it was great growing up with Rare/Free Radical Design games, such as Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and TimeSplitters 1, 2, and 3. My favorite of their games is actually TS1. The reason why is because it played like a super fast 1990s style FPS game (similar to the speed of Quake 3: Arena or Unreal Tournament), and the goal of the developers (Free Radical Design) was to build the fastest FPS game ever made, which eventually became TimeSplitters 1. So, since I'm all about the gameplay, I prefer TS1 over all their other games because its the quickest and most fast-paced FPS game that they ever made. So, TS1 is my favorite game from them and in my opinion, the best game they ever made.
Love your content you got to do a video with your gameplay through the story mode in this game just like you did with future perfect! You're a legend keep it coming with these awesome nostalgic video games! Thank you for your hard work on these videos
Did this game never come out on PC??? This felt like a spiritual successor to Golden Eye, but it didn't get anywhere near that level of fame. Would love a remake or just re release on newer systems!
My favourite thing to do in this game was multiplayer on siberia against bots but they were all the Dozer character, was hilarious seeing so many floating blobs running about 😂
Aaaw, you forgot to mention that Siberia is a reference to Free Radical Design's previous game GoldenEye 64, that the Planet X mission pits two alien species against each other and that you can take advantage of their rivalry to make them kill each other and finish off the winning survivors afterward, that the Neo Tokyo mission starts as a stealth mission since you have to follow someone without being spotted then spy her on camera to see her enter the password that you need to enter the enemy base, that the far west mission is one of the hardest since there are gunslingers shooting at you from EVERYWHERE in town, you forgot to mention what makes each mission special... 😟
Was anyone else stuck forever in the NewTokyo mission and couldn't move forward? I remember it was impossible for my and my sisters sneak behind the guy without being noticed. I think there was maybe a bug somewhere
The map creator for this game was flagship at the time it was awesome! I remember making maps and then getting my big bro and dad to play against me on them
i think that another game that did that was "Scooby-Doo First Frights" for the ds which by completing the main game you could switch with all enemies in the game tho it didnt include boses. It was pretty cool
this game was ahead of its time i feel, huge multiplayer (maps, characters, weapons and gamemodes) rlly good story with lots of love poured into its enviroment, atmosphere, detail and design. not to forgot you could create your own maps, story levels and design enitre games almost in its creator system. i loved this game so much as a kid and probably garnered atleast a thousand or so hours, unfortunately have no way to play it at the moment. Really hoping it gets added to the ps store or some developer picks it up and remasters it or a new TS gets released.
I started my TS journey with TS3. I wish i got 2 first. 😢 If I could have one question answered. It'd be: "Why does Cortez change appearance when he travels in time. But in TF3. He's just himself?" In the 1st mission in Serbia. He changes, and it looks like he has no clue why.
A while ago somebody made it possible to play the gamecube timesplitters games with mouse and keyboard through dolphin. This makes robot factory less of a torture.
My top 10 childhood games: Diddy’s Kong Quest Ocarina of Time Super Mario World TimeSplitters 2 Banjo-Kazooie Yoshi’s Island Battle for Bikini Bottom Simpsons Hit & Run Lets Explore The Farm Backyard Sports
This is one of the best , maybe the best fps series , on ps2 , and still is a top game they need a remaster/ remake , on ps5 . I used to fw this game hard , I think there was 3 of them . But timesplitters 2 was the best if I remember right . 3 was alright as well .
The hardest mission in the whole trilogy is Atom Smasher. Chanege my mind. Oh, you dont think so? Well, try to rush your way with a million enemies with ton of health, and the worst is the time limit. Oh dear God! 😬 In Robot Factory, you can take your time to play at your own pace.
Love your channel bro you deserve more views but real quick I wanted to say Cpt. Ash does return in the 3rd game. He is in what I believe is the first or second mission “Scotland the Brave” You just don’t play as him. Also available as a multiplayer character.
such a good game i remember when you put the stars up on the ai they shoot faster and have better aim the game imo was ahead of its time, fav character on that one was the scourge splitter or riot trooper
TimeSplitters 2 was so fun! You should do XIII on ps2. I guess it gotta some hate back in the day, but i used to love that game. Or the Toy Soldiers game! Or Ape Escape on ps1 lol
I was wrong about the Khallos thing i know i know, it's Jacob Crow!!!
You was wrong unfortunately but it’s ok, don’t fret
Loved the create a level mode I’d be there for hours days lmao
I'm still waiting for the day I meet someone who enjoyed this game as much as I did as a kid. Somehow no one ever knew what I was talking about.
I grew up with it, I'm 17 so there's hope for the new generations lol
Love playing as robofish

@@cl86241me to my friend yo hacia lo mismo con mis amigos en argentina great times
I remember grinding away, completing a bunch of the challenges, only to lose it all when my memory card corrupted
I was 20 when it came out. Me my sis best friend and cousin used to play multiplayer day and night for months loved this game its a classic for sure of they remastered it for hd id buy it same day
I'm seriously enjoying the attention TimeSplitters has been getting these past few years; especially this year. Great video!
Thankyou so much it deserves it!!!
@@EvanHelblingYTit so does. Well done for covering it my friend

the mp match mode where it spawns in a shitload of monkeys with miniguns to help the guy in last place is a mechanic that most mp games need
Yeah kinda like the Mario Kart bullet when you’re in last place, sometimes we all need a lil help 😂
My favorite map making mode to this day

Virus in the nightclub always made me sooo anxious haha. And the nice threads assault was one of lifes biggest challengrs
same health/armour HUD too
This game gives me all the nostalgic warm and fuzzies
Vin Diesel, Corporal Hart, Sgt. Shock, Lt. Shade, & Pvt. Coal were my favorite characters. LMAO
Vin Diesel 😂 Siberia did have the best cast of characters
Always loved the selection of characters in timesplitters, always thought the robot characters looked badass. Virus was such a fun game mode on the GC
Still probly the most creative shooter game tbh, virus gave me so much anxiety but i still loved it!
Virus was me and my bois in highschool! Everyone cramped into one room taking turns and sharing memories 🎉🎉🎉🎉
future perfects "shake your money maker" is burned into my brain
Oh god now its stuck in mine 😂

Love seeing more Timesplitters content on UA-cam
It needs the love it deserves 🤙🤙
Virus & Flame Tag were my favorite. My brother and sister had great times trolling each other back in the day.

The only game I’ve replayed dozens of times and loved it every time, perfectly paced, hilarious and scary, great unforgettable music. So good!
was feeling nostalgic and found this review. high quality video thank you

This game & its series was waaaaaaay ahead of it’s time. Loved this game as a kid. I wish the developers would have a present day one in the works

Thankyou, forsure!
Me and my friends have so many memories playing this game 🥲 Favorite character to play with in the game was the monkey bc u became literally 2 ft tall lol
Played this game for dayzzzzz.
Favorite character was the Chinese chef, while playing virus at the Chinese restaurant

“Sgt Cortez vin diesel” hahahaha I always say this man! 😂😂 I always say sgt Cortez is The vin diesel on pitch black we needed 😂😂
It’s the live action movie we need!
Notre Dame de Paris is my favorite mission of this game and the Portal Daemon is named Mephistopheles in the french version. 😉
Please don’t stop your amazing bro
Thankyou dude! What a coincidence as i’m finishing up my Time Splitters Future Perfect Vid 🤘🤘
I'm so excited Timesplitters 1,2,3 are coming to ps plus premium also handyman is my favorite character 😂
Just got my platinum trophy for it on PS5. Love this game! It deserves a modern sequel!
This was definition of perfect game.
This has had a crazy map-maker where you could add tunnels 5 minutes at a time.
Love your content you got to do a video with your gameplay through the story mode in this game just like you did with future perfect! You're a legend keep it coming with these awesome nostalgic video games! Thank you for your hard work on these videos
wonderfully made
Used to play future perfect on repeat. My cousin and I once played capture the flag for straight up three hours straight.
It’s one of the only games where I love playing capture the flag, so good
Did this game never come out on PC???
This felt like a spiritual successor to Golden Eye, but it didn't get anywhere near that level of fame.
Would love a remake or just re release on newer systems!
What a cute tribute to one of my favorite games of all time! I love it~
Thankyou!!
"I'm walking on air!"

i was lowkey scared of this game as a kid that’s why i never finished the story 😂 still had great memories tho
Time to play them all on ps5!! They are droppin on PS Premium on the 20 Aug
My favourite thing to do in this game was multiplayer on siberia against bots but they were all the Dozer character, was hilarious seeing so many floating blobs running about 😂

I've always said that this game is way ahead of its time. A remastered multiplayer version of this game would be take over the gaming scene in 2024
Timesplitters need a comeback with perfect remastered versions and make a timesplitters 4
Was anyone else stuck forever in the NewTokyo mission and couldn't move forward? I remember it was impossible for my and my sisters sneak behind the guy without being noticed. I think there was maybe a bug somewhere
I slept over my friends house back then and we spent the whole night failing that mission lol
The map creator for this game was flagship at the time it was awesome!
I remember making maps and then getting my big bro and dad to play against me on them
The map editor... Dear god the map editor...
So many sleepless nights!
3:42 the cutoff 💀💀💀
Hahaaa 🧙♀️
Atom Smasher and Robot Factory, on hard, are the HARDEST levels, dear god
They were like actual hard work to play haha
I play this game with my sister so many years ago, awesome memories
I was trying to think of this game for like last 5 years and yep this video hit hard
Just found your channel just by searching this master piece of a game it was! Subbed

great editing man
Thankyou man! I tried a lil more cinematic stuff ✌🏻

How you didn't mention Monkey in your favorite players is wild to me
I had to leave him out bc he’s the best haha
Their bringing it back, all 3 games for playstation Aug 20th
TS2 is a fantastic game!
It's nice to see some TS2 love
We used to spend HOURS in multiplayer throwing bricks at each other and laughing because Gingerbread deathscreams are hilarious
YOOOOO, ur making some great kontent man. got all excited when i saw a new upload from ya
Thanks Alex!! This makes me excited to make the next one 😁🤙
Great video, thanks for the nostalgia

Can someone help me find the name of the song at 1:13 pleeaaaasee. It’s something with Smash Bros. right?
Smash bros brawl theme
You can play the game as an Easter Egg in Homefront 2: The Revolution. Look it up. You can even unlock the ENTIRE FULL game.
"Hey."
My man, great video!!!
Thankyou man!! 🤠
It’s back! Oh lawdy it’s back.
you're not alone, Robot factory is notoriously hard compared to the other levels
daaaam this game was my childhood , me and my one childhood friend played the shit out of this one.
Khallos wasn't the main villain in Future Perfect he was the secondary villain the main is Jacob Crow.
You forgot the most important side character. Ample Sally!
Damn you’re right!
A while ago somebody made it possible to play the gamecube timesplitters games with mouse and keyboard through dolphin. This makes robot factory less of a torture.
My top 10 childhood games:
Diddy’s Kong Quest
Ocarina of Time
Super Mario World
TimeSplitters 2
Banjo-Kazooie
Yoshi’s Island
Battle for Bikini Bottom
Simpsons Hit & Run
Lets Explore The Farm
Backyard Sports
This was absolutely hilarious. And it was a damn good game.
Thankyou! And f yeah

The multi player was simply the best. Thank you GoldenEye 64
I wish you actually reviewed Jack Frost (the nice Micheal Keaton one where he's the dad) for Christmas. That would be dope.
That would be sweet as my standalone movie review

Editing on point
Thankyou man
such a good game i remember when you put the stars up on the ai they shoot faster and have better aim the game imo was ahead of its time, fav character on that one was the scourge splitter or riot trooper
It was so cool that the characters all had their own stats n stuff, scourge splitter was always hard to unlock for me as a kid haha
Definitely one of my favorite shooters. And I remember buying it on sale without any prior knowledge as a kid
Buying random games on sale was the move back in the day gotta love it
This game was awesome on the Gamecube! We racked up a lot of hours.
Great commercial for TS2. I'm partial to Cyberfairy.
I appreciate that, cyberfairy’s a beast ✌🏻
TimeSplitters 2 was so fun! You should do XIII on ps2. I guess it gotta some hate back in the day, but i used to love that game. Or the Toy Soldiers game! Or Ape Escape on ps1 lol
