- We've got another set of fun cards landing throughout the month of July 2024, so I wanted to discuss their potential and lock in my predictions for how powerful they will be.

Hydra Bob is definitely the week you save your keys
Unless you're a fairly new player who wants nebula or galactus. One really good 1-drop and another just iconic and fun card.
100% skip for me tho.
I actually opposite, want to quit marvel snap after i got hydra bob. (Yeah, i am move player).
Also, if the opponent has a killmonger, then I just wasted my snap

I think that Hydra Bob may be intended to be more powerful in Deadpool’s diner, due to the multi-snaps mechanic. It will be interesting to see how it interacts so directly with an otherwise not directly connected to cards. If Regis finally start snapping in videos including this card is the real question.

Also it would be really fucking funny if copycat copied infinaut text, that would be the ultimate bad luck hit, u dont get to play your copycat and the opponent gets a "free" infinaut

it would only affect you for maximum 3 turns (turns 1 2 3) because it would play herself on the first oportunity

I think Gwen would be interesting to try in a discard deck. You have some control of the way your hand gets emptied. Imagine hitting Apoc to make him all the bigger for Dracula. Even better, what about hitting Swarm pre discarding him. Hela could also bring back whatever is discarded, so chances are you'd hit all the boosts even if they hit different targets.

I'm feeling sentimental right now, and I just want to let you know that you are truly great! I started playing this game because my roommate kept bragging about completing all of Conquest (which im still working to achieve 😅), but now you've given me a greater appreciation for the strategy of the game 😁. Thanks for the videos you make and I hope you keep on making them 👍.
Hydra Bob feels like it belongs in the base card set you get when you start the game and that's probably the most insulting thing you could say about a card

Early card are simple, and Hydra is not. He is not great target for F2P collections, but he is fine bonus to (eventually) obtain, and has some meaningful effect for full-collection players - like Martyr, he provides early game priority, but can be just put into a deck, where Martyr needs ability to fill board or remove her text.
Copycat is definitely the card of the season.

the idea of new Bob where you give your opponent an incentive to Snap is interesting but he's not there, and having a card that auto moves every turn isn't terrible in a Kraven/Miles etc. package but doesn't make up for the risk of snapping so early for it. I like the idea of the card I hope when they have some data for it they come up with a way to tune it up

I'm buying Copycat with tokens and saving all my keys this month. And I might mostly save my keys next month, because September looks freaking cool.
It has been confirmed by devs that Copycat won’t show to the opponent when she is drawn. That’s pretty scary from a snap leveraging standpoint.
It can be, but it might also be useless or detrimental. Having information about your opponents' deck can be vital but, depending on the player, it's likely that it won't matter at all
@@Theghostofdirtyhallknowing what card you opponent wont have is huge for snap leverage. Not mention cards like korg and rockslide that shuffle your opponents deck, you can make them draw a blank card. Its the best card of month
@@yugh2 I agree that it might be the best card this month but I highly disagree when you described it as scary lol. We had this kind of fear mongering around Hope and she turned out to be just another solid card. People just need to chill until we actually see the card in action
I don't even see how she's good honestly. At best a better morph, but if i just wanted to leverage information, i just could use spider ham and get disruption added for less cost
@@georgeherren606 she has the potential benefit of stealing really good text like doom, red hulk, iron man, etc. If you steal from a great card like that, then you have knowledge about the opponents draw power that they do not, plus an incredible card for cheap. But if you get garbage then you have a 3-cost card slightly above rate. Calling the card scary it too much but I think she could be really solid in a ton of decks as a flex spot. Might even make surfer pretty great when combined with Gwenpool
Hydra Bob is kinda like: *Activate* this card to make miles cheaper
well but that point you could just play Silk and have a more reliable move card and it has 5 power.
@@Serpente915 the first datamine for Bob was just a better Silk- -in fact, it was only slightly worse than Captain Marvel at half the cost. I think they toned it down a bit too much

Hydra Bob should be like Miek in the sense that it can give you the option to move him if you or the opponent snaps

Cassandra Nova is actually a 3/38 because you also steal that amount of power from your opponent’s cards. CRAZY

They were scared when I snapped after Copycat, but it was just to move my Hydra Bob
Copy cat, Cassandra, Gwen pool only… got it. Looks like a good month to stock up some keys
Hydra Bob can pretty much replace nightcrawler in any deck that would use nightcrawler, like Angela tempo. It's a 1 drop that moves once (or twice). "But you don't chose the location" any decks that use nightcrawler can easily fill up a location to lock Bob into whatever lane you want him to be in
I feel like its worth mentioning that hydra bob seems to be designed more around having fun. He's not that great but hes an upcost card that bounces around your board adding randomness in a cool way, if you let yourself see it like that.
Gwenpool also seems to really emphasize the fun aspect, really tempts me to get the season pass tbh.
I think a cool card that could be added with that new snap text is something that destroys a random card from the opponents side

Idk if I can go back from Arishem gameplay. Having 1 more energy and being able to play cards i dont own is just so much more fun than normal decks
Hydra Bob seems playable with Angela and Hope. you can snap the turn you play Bob, and he will hop out of the location at the end of the turn, freeing up space. Considering those decks run Nightcrawler and Jeff sometimes? Bob seems like a good fit.
Does Kang create an additional snap if you snap before and after the rewind?
Ajax might have been really cool if he included other locations beyond the board. Would make for a natural combo with Cassandra Nova attacking their deck, Scorpion attacking their hand, and so on. "Ongoing: +1 Power for each card afflicted with negative Power, regardless of location."
Gwen pool in a sera 3 cost deck would go crazy
I was running out of keys and tokens. Thankfully Second Dinner gave me a month where only two cards are worth unlocking

I'm still hoping for Hydra Bob to get a buff before he officially comes out, because man... I think he can produce such fun gameplay and mindgames, like if you think you're more likely to win if you snap, but then if your opponent snaps back you're screwed again and do you think they have the guts and/or info to go in for those 8 cubes? Just stuff like that would be fascinating, but he needs to be playable and a 1/4 just... Isn't. Not sure 1/5 would even be big enough, though, like... Probably? 1/6 would feel overtuned.
Getting the pass regardless because Deadpool and Wolverine are my favorites for sure and you can’t ever have enough DP n Wolvie variants 😊

I think Ajax might honestly be underrated. His power cap, from his ability alone, is 5/28. With Ravonna, you could copy his ability with Mystique then Taskmaster Mystique. You could certainly do something like hide a Hazmat under Invisible Woman to got off at the end of the game, which would update the Ongoings (though not Taskmaster). It'll definitely be awkward to build around at first but I feel like a powerful deck will come out of Ajax's release.
I think if you have a bit of a clog package using Debrii you could get some good pop off post Hazmat!
Looking at the season video HydraBob could move every turn AFTER one player has snapped. So snap turn 1 and he moves every turn. If so he is a much more interesting card
i think ajax is a little underpowered, sure; but the comparison to devil dino or darkhawk is not fair imo! putting stuff in your hand or in the deck is way less impactful than making all the cards on your opponent's board weaker. this way ajax benefits from an effect thats already strong for you, which makes him count for more, at least in my eyes

it's nice cassandra, and for $10 gwenpool are "free" when they may be the best cards of the month. (tho i'll prob spend keys for copycat)

Copycat seems like it shows your opponent what has been copied which kind of balances it out. Makes its snap equity lower
My question is if there is rocks in the opponents deck will she take the 0 power down to -1 because if so surfer hawk could become a thing

Hydra Bob could work with Kraven and Hercules. Unfortunately this relies on perfect RNG on the move and your opponent snapinng after you. Silk is still the superior option though.

Hear me out! Hydra Bob on a good deck makes you bait your opponent to snap. Then you win more cubes. Perhaps use it in a Gilgamesh deck where everyone always retreats once you play blue marvel

I do agree, leave snapping alone. It shouldn’t affect the cards. Snapping should be used to show confidence or to bluff, like that of poker.
Creating mechanics based on that then you’re taking away its purpose and it’s a slippery slope. Future designs can include, doubling the power of your card if you snap, etc.

Ajax seems so hard to be good... seems like maybe it would be a smidge better as on reveal? To me in a world where ajax is good... folks just run luke cage and because its ongoing they have all 6 turns to draw luke cage to counter it... so even in a world where it is good... it wont be cause luke is pretty playable tech. That said I'll probably still build an ongoing toxic deck with like man thing, us agent, ajax with spectrum still on the top end... but Im fairly convinced it won't be good lol.

I think hydra bob needed to come out with a suite of cards that all interact with snapping so it’s actually worth building a deck around, right now it’s just a fairly weak gimmick that doesn’t pair well with anything in the game.

I love Cassandra but I'm scared that 1 she and Darkhawk make Arishem hard to play and 2 ain't no way she and Darkhawk don't become meta in against every other deck, rock slide on 3 and korg and Cassandra on 4 is crazy.
Ajax was good at 4 but is clear they want to make those archetype finishers be 5 cost like Dino, Ronan, Darkhawk, Gilgamesh of the world

Arishem has been fun and goofy but he needs to be overhauled already. His ability (generate energy/cards) doesn't even make sense with what he actually does (judge/destroy). All I know is that I don't want to keep playing the game if I'm going to have to play Arishem or Darkhawk decks for 3/4 of the month
