I have and early SD1 2600 in my garage and just spotted this video. A well set up 2600 Rover is a really nice thing but also a very misunderstood motorcar. Everybody favoured the V8 and just abused the straight 6's and threw them away.. The British (for the most part) just won't look after their own automotive heritage, unless its an expensive E type or something.. What you did have there is extremely rare in any condition even in England...! If you have sold it I'd be inclined to try to get it back... It's almost impossible to find one as good as that anywhere...!!
Thank you for that interesting comment. Man, I already sold it through cars and bids. I lost big time on it. Hopefully the new owner is aware of its rarity.
A very very rare car in that survivor condition, any of these which are left in Britain have all had rust removed and repaired, and there isn’t very many left here in the uk you should try and sell it here in the uk as I’m sure you would get more for it
Amazing video. Love this Daytona 365 GTB-like Rover. Thank you so much. Thumb's up ! Bon sang ! cette merveille est immatriculée dans le Forez ; comment a-t-on pu laisser partir un pareil joyau ? Anyway this old girl seems to be well taken care of.
Thank you Ludivic. In France that have pretty tough emissions standards and there can’t be any leaks. I have all her maintenance records and she was only owned by 2 people before me.
Great looking Mk2 SD1
Thank you my friend.

Looks really great!
Thank you my friend! You have a Rover too, I see! Awesome! I just auctioned mine off about a month ago.
@@DarkoLabs Yeah, the V8! Keeps me busy!

Hey there. I already sold it through an auction this past December and it’s still a very sore spot for me. The selling price barely covered shipping.
Beautiful car! I have for sale a Rover SD1 3500 V8 standard. Stored for 30 years!! I have every part for this car also !! Located in Toronto Canada.

Surely it's a 2.6l if its badged as so
Are you trying to sell this somewhere?
I’m getting ready to put it up for auction.
2.6 not 2.3
Thanks.
How ignorant! 6cylinders not 4
