If you have already AUX switch option in the car regardless if it's Bronco or Jeep wrangler, you don't need the switch or the relay that come with with the light. You just cut the 2 cables with the light plugs , each wire has 2 red power wire and another black wire for ground, combine the 2 red wires together and connect them to the AUX switch , and combine the 2 black wires and connect them to the ground which can be any screw in the car body. This is all you will need. I did this to all my lights
This.
Definitely do not need the relay or th switch.
Always refreshing to watch these videos. Extremely valuable to see the errors and work-arounds that ultimately end up in success. Thanks for continuing to be yourself.
I was proud to get the wiring correct, lol.
Pretty much what I had to do. My lights came with that relay, and a push button switch. I cut all of it off and used an aux switch like I intended to. Grounding to the firewall works just as good as the battery
Thanks Tim! Rough Country offers some nice products. I noticed these have CREE LED’s which I’ve personally used in other lighting and found they’re really durable. Although looking at the RC website the installation instructions don’t show any wiring at all. It appears they’re intended for trims not having the optional aux switching. But you figured it out. Another atta boy Tim! I think you’re a better backyard mechanic than you let on. 😊
I took the wires out of the switch connecter and that’s what I put into my aux beam slots
So did you just cut the switch off the wire and tie those to the Bronco's aux harness?
@@dimensionalhum it’s a connector I just cut the wires at the connector and put them in the switch
What did you end up doing to streamline the connection? Getting ready to install mine today to the aux switch and have the same relay question as you did.
I cut the wires and connected blacks and whites together to Aux wire.
@@FordVideoGuyyou got a video of you doing that
@@jadriangarner6374 I recapped it at the end of the video. 12:45
