What’s your worst flight experience? ✈️🫠
I took my first US trip (for work) just this November. In Manila, I was told I’d have to spend 12hrs in Atlanta brcause my original flight from Atlanta to Jacksonville was cancelled. No biggie, I can get a room, roam around ATL, even thought about asking you for recommendations! Anyway, I get to Incheon and no one can tell me where my gate is for my Incheon to Atlanta flight. Was told to go to 4 different gates only to find out my flight was pushed back 5 hours then after they checked again, it was pushed back 2 hours more. AAAANNNDDDD instead of going to Atlanta, I have to go to LAX first, get all my bags, go through immigration, check my bags again AT A DIFFERENT TERMINAL then go back again to the orig terminal to catch the SAME plane that’ll take me to Atlanta. Ended up spending almost 4hrs in line at Delta check in in LAX, flight got delayed again because they only had 2 check in counters for us, then missed my connecting again from Atlanta to Jax. What was supposed to be a 23hrs flight stretched to 36hrs
Wow Cindy you have the patience of a saint! Not only did they move your bag and sit in a seat they knew they didn’t book. Tried to convince you to take another seat. Then went on to take advantage of your kindness and put both their kids in your row and not kept an eye on them‽
I could never imagine flying with my kids and leaving them with a complete stranger?? 😩
You’re such a good storyteller I feel like I’m in story time at school or something. I love it. 😅
Class is in session and the lesson is don’t offer to change your seat 🥹
I can relate. In my case was a 2hour flight and my husband and I were returning to our country from Panamá and we paid extra to choose our 2 seats, it was my husbands turn in the window seat. When we got to our seats there was a mother and her 7 year old son. They apparently had different seats, one was the aisle seat where my husband and I were, and the other was at the back near the bathrooms. We were seating before the wing so we had a pretty nice view. She wanted one of us to go seat at the back, near the bathrooms so she could sit next to her son. I`m not a mother, so maybe I wasn`t to complacent with her request, and my husband was just ignoring her. So what happened was that a woman seating in the aisle seat next to the one in our row said she could exchange the seat. So I was sitting next to her son and she was in the other aisle seat. The 2 hour flight was torture, because her son was hyperactive and was moving about, hitting the sit in front, kicking me which I politely had to tell him to stop and please stay put. He did not comply so I had to keep getting kicked by this unruly child while the mother (young early 20s) was asleep... so he was making a mess and was loud all during the flight. My husband was also asleep so I was basically taking care of the kid and trying to be patient! I was more than glad that the flight was over. To the point that the person sitting in front (who got his seat hit repeatedly by the child) said Thank God! and looked at me and told me he was sorry I had to endure all that.
She thought to herself, let me take a 2 hr nap on this 2 hr flight while a stranger babysits my child 🤦🏻♀️
If the airlines is under IATA, this is not allowed. A child cannot be separated from the parent because things can happen (abuse, etc.) but there you go. Some haggled and tired check in person must have just thrown everyone in a seat
It’s touching/moving your bag gets me
Love this! Do more get ready with me/story times 💕 Yes, airplane etiquette and etiquette should be a course they put back in school. There are rude people in the Tampa & Phoenix Airports everytime I fly.
Yay thank you for watching 🥰
Years ago on our way to Puerto Vallarta, a coupe sat their two young daughters next to my son and proceeded to sit in first class. He watched over them the whole flight but rude to my son and not safe for those little girls.
No good deed goes unpunished...😂 I can't imagine moving someone's bag and taking their seat and feeling entitled to it but lol 😅
Exactly. This is why I have several standing rules: one being NEVER give a sucker an even break!
That’s what I get for trying to be nice 🥲
@@AHeatedMess Unfortunately, yes...😐
@@AHeatedMess it is best to unfortunately look out for number one it reminds me of one time I was driving here in L.A, forget where it was and I let somebody make that turn and I just waved him on like go ahead and go: and then two seconds later I get hit from the right side by some guy going through the red light on his end had I never done that I would have been fine so I never give a sucker an even break after that.
Do more of those… love hearing those bummer/funny stories…. we all have plenty of those 😁
I enjoyed this! ❤ Good Morning
Decorating Christmas cookies and listening to this😊 You were much more gracious than I would have been in that situation!
Yay cookies 🍪🥰 Thank you for watching 🤗
That's so nice of you being so patient , yeah sometimes flights are bad or good .
Interesting plane experience! Enjoyed watching your makeup application ❤
Oh my, that’s an annoying flight with Quatar airways! Sorry, you had to go through that.
❤good morning girl you're always 💓looking gorgeous Cindy
What I really like about you always updating us about your own experience with everything 😊
Come along this terrible flight with me lol 🥲✈️
@@AHeatedMess 😅😅😅😅🥴🥴
Flew Qsuite last dec from Montreal to Doha and was amazing. Asian and Middle east airlines usually have that secondary check just b4 boarding.
Found out the hard way 🥲
Omg that’s terrible!! our worst experience was definitely when we were flying back from our Disney cruise from Orlando. Our flight got delayed and we were at the airport for 12 hours.😢
When you’re stuck at the airport for so long it would have been faster to drive 😭
Awesome story. I have to ask. Every video of yours that I watch, I love your nail color! Can you tell me what it is? Thanks!!
My worst travel story is that on our honeymoon (many moons ago) a crazy woman got thrown off a flight for smoking in the bathroom. They caught her, and tried to leave her on the plane, but she did it again. They then brought her to the back of the plane after she was caught the 2nd time, and when we landed the authorities came and got her!
Hi. She gets dip powder, then unicorn chrome over it.
omg this literally happened to me as well and the mum and kid came over to my window seat while her whole family took all 3 seats in the middle. (their other kid was taking 2 seats, sleeping horizontally) the kid kept leaning over to my side when he was sleeping and i couldnt sleep the whole night flight. it wasnt that bad but it kinda ruined my solo flight experience.
Wow!! I think my worst flight experience was actually missing my flight😭 It was horrible! I underestimated how much time it would take to get through security.
The first time I ever missed a flight was traveling from ATL around the holidays and security was out the door 😭
Flying international, long hours, min 17 hours, is always painful 😣. Domestic is so much better, you reach in a few hours and there’s usually no layover, if it’s not the holidays or peak summer vacay time, it could even be fun. But international is always so annoying! Someone’s always sick 🤒, babies 👶 are crying, kids kicking the back of your seat 💺, turbulence, some one always spills something, people get impatient, absolutely impossible to sleep and you arrive disheveled almost always while traveling internationally! Gah 😖! And you have to put up with it for 17 hours! The space is soo cramped and when you travel from a cold 🥶 climate to hot 🥵 climate back to cold 🥶 again, it’s terrible!! - Amy
I feel you! I was told that The multiple check points is because of 🇺🇸 regulations to countries flying in
Cindy you Opened a Can of Worms with this😂
Another Dramatic Flight Story😏
I was on a one week stopover in UAE when corona V hit the fan and people were flooding there from the source. I was seated next to a Gentleman enroute from the source, and he was miserably infectiously ill, so I discreetly asked to change seats. Long Story Short, the crude, cruel stewardess demanded that I pay nearly $200 offering to halt the taxiing plane so that I can get off as a solution. That day I could have been an early corona case; could have been jailed in UAE; but Thank God a stewardess from the destination sent her away, apologized for her unhumane colleague's attempt to threaten Me, and showed Me all the highlighted available seats on a tablet that were options, and explained that the seat I'd selected was more expensive due to more leg room.
That’s awful! I’m glad the other flight attendant was able to de-escalate 🫣
She should have paid you a Nanny fee! You are too kind to cater to this “entitled” parent.
Still waiting for my hazard pay 🥲
I was also annoyed w/ PAL last Sept. Coz our flight to Manila was cancelled. Have to waste 1 vacation day in LAX. Then in NAIA on an early flight back to the US, after cleared by immigration, the PAL gate has another security check where you are not allowed to bring liquids(H2o & coffee). And even let me take out my inhaler to check if it is really just an inhaler. My Golly!😤
PAL is notorious for canceling flights 😭 The same thing happened to me with my LAX flight direct to Manila - I was able to reschedule out of San Francisco but it was stressful 🥲
I’ve heard stories of kind peolple giving up their paid/chosen/ preferred seats. W/c ended mostly bad. I will make sure to ask if they travelled w/ their hubbys, in-laws, other family members. Coz its not fair. You don’t take a break fr being a parent and let a stranger keep an eye on ur kids.
Never changing seats again 🥹
Omgggg how rude! I would’ve asked for my window seat back, that is just wrong!!!!
No good deed goes unpunished.
Wow that's bad!
Cindy, God Bless You and Your Family.
Good of you to endure what that lady might not extend to a Man or a Woman. I can imagine herr justifying that she'd paid extra for the seat.
My worse flight after a sweet getaway with my young son, I became sick as we were leaving the Bahamas. Writhing in pain and nausea, I had to lay down on the bench. It took all my strength to walk to the hot hallway route to the plane where we passengers where halted and made to wait, I had to sit on the ground propped up on my elbow. Finally on the plane, following up on my request for Barf Bags, the crew announce the need to cancel the flight and disembark because the Pilot was at maximum flying hours and decided that he's too tired to fly safely. They booked us overnight at a hotel with a food voucher, but I was too sick to enjoy. By the time I could drag myself to a restaurant at cob, I had to beg for takeaway food for my son. He was elated with free reign on cable TV while I hibernated. Before leaving the airport I'd demanded an international call to my employer lest I get Terminated for Abandonment. In a desperate focus to get to their voucher hotel I forgot the bag with our beach gear, but Jet💙 flew it over and had it delivered later that week. Thank God for getting Me HOME ALIVE & preventing a Labor Relations Disciplinary case SMH...
Oh noo 😭 Flying while you’re sick is the worst feeling 🙏🏽
Unbelievable the nerve of some people!! I can not imagine having a stranger care for my children on a flight! No matter how nice the stranger!
I have a few, but this one is more funny than horrible.
I was sitting next to a woman who had never flown before.
Her husband was sitting right behind me and I told him I’d switch seats with him, but he keep saying no, she’ll be fine.😊
I was offering her gum to help her ears, and just trying to make her feel at ease.
I’m glad I was able to help, but I’m pretty sure her husband slept the whole trip.😂😂
My worst flight was an international flight from Mexico City to the US. The flight was ok but when we were supposed to land, we didn’t. We kept going in circles for 20+ minutes. Everyone became restless. I eventually asked what the issue was. It turned out it was the pilot’s first time landing a commercial plane so he was nervous😱😱😱 All the passengers gasped. Some people were angry and began yelling. Others were getting out of their seats. When they finally let the stewardess talk, she said the second pilot was experienced. People said he could practice another time. Without passengers😡The other pilot took over and landed safely. It was the only time I was ever nervous on a plane and I’ve been flying since I was a baby.
Trans World Airlines, TWA, just before they went out of business in 2001 (did not know beforehand that they were headed toward that) from Houston to Paris via St. Louis, their hub. This was before the St. Louis airport (Lambert, I just read) was expanded. Totally inadequate airport. Being from Houston and accustomed to Intercontinental (now George Bush) airport, I was appalled. I remember sitting on the floor with my travel companion waiting for something--can't remember what. Plane was old, traveling companion, who had booked with TWA to save a few bucks, said, next time Continental Airlines again: treally is a difference. The return flight was uneventful but they showed the movie Gigi, which I'd hear of, but never seen despite being a Francophile from age 7. I'm no prude but I was horrified by the plot line of Gigi being raised to be a courtesan. Now I'm horrified because it's so pedo (Thank Heavens for Little Girls) and grooming. Also, I miss the old Continental Airlines.
❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
You are so nice.
I try 🥲
Oh you are better than me I would have put that eye mask on and big noise canceling headphones and tuned out! Rude too that she just moved your bag to begin with!
It’s not ok. What is that mother thinking to make you take care of her two SMALL kids? Incredible 😮
On a 15 hr flight 😭 I don’t even leave my kids w my own relatives for that long
On a 9 hour red eye flight I was in the isle and I was sitting next to a girl (middle seat) and her boyfriend (window seat). the girl kicks of her shoes AND SOCKS and then proceeds to sit crossed legged in her seat, so her knees are like halfway in my lap. bruh
Not the bare feet and seat boundary crossing 😭
Ugh! Food is served on planes: are bare feet against the health code?
I must have missed the part where you got kicked off the plane?
That part is towards the end ✈️
I never travel on planes
I would rather drive everywhere if I could 😭
No ma’am. Come get your children. I am not their nanny. I would have not given up my seat. This is why she needed to stay with her kids.
80 dollars for a phone call is crazy
And my card charged me a foreign transaction fee on top of that 😭
That nap probably went along way for her. 🤍
At least one of us enjoyed the flight 🥲
This is why I dont like to fly..there are so many disrespectful / clueless/ ignorant people in this world who either dont care or dont realize how they act..when i go on a flight I want it to be peacful and quite, and yet I am always near the row where someone is CONSTANTLY talking or a young baby crying.. I know you wanted to be the better person, but I would of stuck to my guns and kept your window seat.
I have so many regrets 🥹
It would be annoying to have to take care of someone else’s child when you are traveling alone.
