New Ultracapacitor Jump Starters from Jump-N-Carry provide plenty of power for starting vehicles of all shapes and sizes, such as cars, SUVs, light and medium duty trucks. These units utilize an ultracapacitor power source, which is largely unaffected by cold temperatures, providing approximately the same starting power whether it is 70˚F or -30˚F. The Jump-N-Carry may be stored virtually anywhere, and in any position.
The unit features a LED status display to alert you to the state of charge of the internal reserve power lithium battery. Press the Jump Start button to display the battery status on the gauge. There are options for charging your Jump-N-Carry. First, you can charge the internal reserve power lithium battery, which can later be used to charge the ultracapacitor when it is needed for jump starting. Second, you can charge the ultracapacitor directly for immediate use.
In most cases, the jump starter can be charged up using the battery from the disabled vehicle, even if it is low!. But, they incorporate an internal reserve power lithium battery to charge the ultracapacitor when the disabled vehicle’s battery is extremely discharged, which prevents using it to charge the unit. The units feature a LED Status gauge to indicate the readiness of the reserve power battery, allowing you to always know its ability to perform a jump start.
power supply delivers a whopping 800 Start Assist Amps. Features 68” #2 AWG Cables and Heavy-Duty PowerJAW™ Clamps. A Internal lithium battery to charge unit even at temperatures as low as -40˚F. Easy-to-use design and Includes wall charger and 12V charging cord. 1 Year Limited Warranty

I'd love if the internal lithium battery were capable of discharging at something reasonable like 100-200 amps continuous ON TOP OF the burst amperage of the caps. Almost like a " trickle charger" on top of the initial discharge. This would also be perfect for diesels which need some current before starting to warm up.

i've had the jnc 660 for a couple years and its done so well i decided to pick this one up.
the only time the 660 wasnt enough was on a completely dead battery in a bmw 540i (sitting for 2 years) and a chevy truck with a 454ci (sitting for 5+ years)
it was a toss up between the 1224 double battery, truck pack es5000, or the 8800 for me.
love to see more reviews on this one and how its holding up for you. according to amazon its terrible but i think it'll be good like my 660

2 gauge cables are no joke. I got a set of jumper cables that are 2 gauge and I can jump-start a small sun with them...they have never let me down.

Weird how a modern, very expensive unit uses an extremely old micro-usb charging cable. It should be USB -C which would be better during the freezing cold as you wouldn't need to worry about orientation, and increased durability.

Did something go wrong with your laser surgery? Maybe just a small correction now.

I just used it this weekend to boost my truck with a dead battery at -20. Had to charge it off another battery but it fired right up

The Schumacher DSR132 is a much better Ultracap/Lithium Hybrid jumper.
