- The T20 in War Thunder is absolutely awesome. This thing brings me SO much joy. This is the absolute bane of Axis big cats. I can't tell you how many Tigers and Panthers I've sent back to the hanger while using this.
The T20 is my happy place in mid tier War Thunder. It's quick, has a gyroscopic stabiliser, a reverse gear and some decent armour. You'll mostly always get the first shot off in skirmishes and the potent 76mm does reliable enough damage to get the job done in one shot the majority of the time.
To back it up, I went with a FULL premium and event air craft roster in the form of the P-47M, the AU-1 and the incredibly overperforming P-59A.

Pro tip: If you bind a key to "Select Machine Gun" in the controls, you can peak over hills so that only your .50 cal is peaking over, select it and pepper anything behind the hill with it. WOuld've helped a lot in that VFW standoff. You can even destroy tracks and on some rare occasions even barrels. But most importantly, you're being an annoying little shit while doing it :) (Also: Don't forget to bind another key to "Reset weapon selection" so you aren't stuck with the Machine gun view as your turret doesn't move while you control it seperately)

I love using this trick it's so useful- even if just to spot a target you cant kill with the 50

It used to only have 121mm of max pen at 0 degrees of armor at 10 meters but they use a different penetration calculator now so it’s more of 120mm of pen at 500-1000 meters I believe

@@Cheshiremd It really isn't though. Do you have it? It's slow like a prop but you still have to play it like a jet due to very poor energy retention and acceleration. In the right hands it's good. But it has a steep learning curve.

There's also the t25 which is basically is this with the Pershing's turret, having the 90mm retaining the stabilizer.

The T 20 had a Ford GAA V 8 engine.
The M 18 had an honest to god radial aircraft engine.
It's not surprising the M 18 doesn't shift into gear smoothly.

It's funny you say that coz in the development of this tank it was noted that the turret was way too small if they ever decided to up gun this with a 90mm cannon which eventually became the t25

Not going to lie watching that FW throw away literally every single massive advantage he had was the most frustrating thing.
This tank before it was up tiered was so freaking good, for the longest time I refused to play anything but American T-20 and got 300+ kills in it. But now it’s good still but you get up tiered and the enemy puts their rounds in my prison wallet

I messed something up with my plane controls (i rarely fly planes in ground RB) and now there is a circle around it and i can't get it to go away. What do i have to do in my controls to have the external view when flying and bombing and strafing?Like in the dogfight starting from 1 minute; Sorry for the noob question. I really want to start learning how to fly planes properly. It is so important in ground RB realistic mode. My IGN is Truthspreader. Take care,brother.

Also... you should set up your keybinds for the additional guns and MG's on tanks.
Really helpful stuff. You could hit aircraft more reliably, or use it as periscope (works with thermal too if your gunner has it, but your commander doesn't). In this video, you could have used it to MG the crap out of that VFW without presenting a target for the enemy.

T-20 is like a weaker but at the same time stronger version of the M4A3 76
Weaker because it doesnt have a gunshield, but stronger because of its lower profile
I rather have the lower profile and amazing reverse gears than the gun shield.

i feel like it slows down a little but on some awkard terrain and slopes bc it only has three gears
The entire American 5.7 tank lineup should go back to 5.3, I played on the new Kursk map, and if you lose the caps, you’ll get spawn camped and can’t do anything about it because heavier tanks can’t get penned from the front like the tiger 2 or jagdpanther when they’re 1000m away
It's generally agreed that USA needs some BR tuning
