Wow mate. You bring so much genuineness to an ever increasing materialistic world. For me at least, this video has highlighted some experiences that I have been having recently. Being frustrated with jobs that you are capable of doing but don't have the resources or ability due to external/internal sources is so hard. It can be very defeating and often can come in multiples. We see this here, you're so tired, stressed, and nothing is going to plan. But you keep chipping away and you manage to get somewhere. This is so important and you have helped me realise this over our time mate. Being kind to yourself and focusing on what you can control. So in short, thank you. Although it was hard seeing you defeated, it adds context. It's inspiring.

Thanks Shannon, what a fantastic message to read. I feel like I should write a long reply and I will try and remember to come back and do so when I’m not so tired LOL 😊❤️

Really enjoyed these house renovation videos - an extra dimension to the self sufficiency topic and certainly useful to me: thanks for sharing. Looks amazing too. Best of luck with moving day(s)!

Aw man you are so tired. I hope once you get a rest (probably no time soon) you can look back and see that you didn't meet your own demands but what you did do looks fantastic ❤ not killing/being killed by your spouse in the process is a definite win 😉

I can already picture the jars of fermented foods and dried mushrooms on the (yet to be built) shelves and sour dough bread on the side there. What a brilliant kitchen space you're creating! Putting us all to shame with your efforts there 👏

Hey Carl. Well done for pushing through! You're doing a great job inspite of the obstacles and your perseverance is admirable.
Your workmanship is something to behold - I don't know many people that would make things work, even when they shouldn't.
It's been said before but you make the best lemonade. I'd have to say you are the G.O.A.T., for sure!
    Best, Alex - NetZero Homestead

That's absolutely beautiful work you've done in such a short time you guys. It's all fabulous. Feel so much for you, it's frustrating when what you order doesn't arrive and unexpected damage happens, re tap.
I hope you get some rest soon!

Thanks Melissa, I plan on not doing very much the rest of the week after we finished unpacking (apart from my regular job of course) 😊👍

I wanted to point out that if someone suggested to me that I would have watched not one, but three UA-cam videos of someone renovating their house, found it so interesting, and be hanging for the next one, I would've laughed. Must either be your charisma or your content. I'll let you decide which you prefer Carl, or perhaps a percentage split lol

    • @SelfSufficientHub
      @SelfSufficientHub  2 роки тому +1

What a compliment! I’ll take either in any split you like😊

Wow! You’ve achieved a huge amount! Hope the move goes well 👍💚
PS I want to know about the brick chimney breast (?) in the kitchen - it looks like it used to be a tiny bread oven or something?

I honestly don’t know anything about it- which is ridiculous.
Because we rented the property for over a decade before we bought it I guess it has just become invisible to me!
I really should have found out and either utilised or removed it before I did this most recent work 🤣
