I would have liked the question to be asked about not investing in January whilst stating that our competitors did and they got promoted. I did enjoy the interview and found that Angus’s answers did make a lot of sense. I agree with Joe that a slightly lesser quality No10 would be better than no No10.
Manor Solomon's arrival puts Joe's argument in the mud. Also Rodon's agents were speaking to Ipswich in the summer. We matched their wages offer. Joe also missed the point that the club wanted experience, not a future prospect who would not be a starter.
Let’s draw a line with the Archie deal. It was a killer deal - neither side could turn that down. Agree on comms needs to be better.

This is one of the only times I've watched Ger and thought that he was talking absolute rubbish. So much exaggeration of the opposite argument, you cannot say people saying that there were 10's available in the market means that we should have been calling for Sam Greenwood ffs. If they anticipated that Georgie would have been hard to replace, O'Hare was available for free at the start of the season and would have been a fantastic player to rotate with Georgie if he stayed or to replace him if he left. Sallai was available, Kebbal was available, there would have been loads of options all across Europe which we could have picked up.
Seems like Ger is taking Angus' word at a lot of things rather than comparing it to the evidence of the summer, which is surprising, normally Ger is onto these things much more
Why was Georgy bought ? We needed a striker at the time in the Prem to help us out get goals and he just said Georgy was for in 6 months time. So what was he bought for ? For in 6 months time ?

So a few things.
If red bull buy from 49ers, name change and ask the things we fear are still possible. Just because they haven't talked about it now doesn't mean it's not on RB's agenda. If RB do take over, RB won't care if he stays, they'd probably want him to leave as they have their own way of doing things. Token gesture to say he'd leave.
He did not acknowledge Parag's poor communication regarding RB investment that insinuated Archie would stay. With his own logic, it makes more sense to keep Archie than other assets. We'd get double money in a few years.
The most depressing thing was how they had "learned" over the last few years that they need to spend a few years consolidating 🙈 They went balls deep expecting top 6/half with Bielsa. And now as Daniel says "we're paying for sins of the past". Have we forgot about the Ridsdale era already? That experience is etched into my soul, why hasn't it been etched into the club's? 49ers were involved when we were in the prem, not in the driving seat but still.
Have to credit to Angus he handled it well said the right things. We know now that if we don't get promoted this year, we can expect a whole bunch of other players are going to get sold. Unless we sold big this year to give us another year with current squad un the champ if needed. If that's the plan B, then fair enough.

I think my biggest take away from this summer, is to ignore the interviews with the higher-ups. Communication is just PR bullshit where they can't day anything meaningful through fear of spooking the players, fans or the market.
God I hope Harry gets a chance with us for a few years 🙏

I have a simple way of doing the psr crap, everyone has up to £200m to spend on players, per season, if you sell someone for £50m you have £250m etc , and if you go over that you get deducted 15 points, its simple but effective !
