I love every aspect of this interview! Huge fan of both the band and Russell Brand... and that's uncommon here in the US. Not many people know of the band, and a lot of people hate Russell Brand. (British humor is so much different than anything here, yet its sooooo much better, and Americans are too stubborn to appreciate it)
After seeing this I think Russell should interview them every week, best interview ever. Love the way he seemed to take a keen liking to Tom in particular, just love all of it really, four amazing men in one place, can't really get much better.
They're a really successful british pop band. I suggest you check out some of their music, they're amazing. They might not be known very well throughout the US yet, but I like to believe that they're getting there.
You can see that they all feel awkward with the paint balling part; both Dougie and Danny cross their arms at the same time (and Danny with his knee shake) and Tom just looks horrified. Adorable
Around the Sorry's Not Good Enough/Friday Night era, I think lol! So around December 2006 maybe? Tom and Danny did an acoustic performance but I can't remember what song it was; I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was around that time :)

He almost adds breadth to a format as two-dimensional as an MTV interview with a pretty boy band. In theory his interviewing skills are poor, but his performance as an individual is off the scale.
Proper music. Old school stuff like The Clash, the Ramones, the New York Dolls. Then obviously Nirvana, Radiohead, the Pixies, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, stuff like that. I repeat, PROPER music played by proper musicians.
You can't just deny extra layers without some form of reasoning. Besides. I never inferred there being any extra layers, simply that he is dropping references left, right and centre. Which he was.

he had put magnisium in bread and had given it to the birds. After the birds eat it, they (literely) explode because of the magnisium. I think thats just realy bad and mean. Can't believe enyone would do that, it makes me very angry (even thow I don't like birdes)

FINALLY it gets interesting. Obviously the best way to attack someone is personally, seeing as that is most likely to provoke an emtional response. But I couldn't give a fuck.
