one of my favorite videos. Just a hang out with a friend talking about life. Genuine positive friendships are still out there. Thank goodness. lol. 🙂

Such a beautiful video. It is a meditation on close friendship. I think what you have is very rare and special. I don’t think most people have a friendship that is this close. but I also got lucky in this lifetime. I have had a super close best friend 39 years. I think it is the best gift the gods ever bestowed on me. My close friendship has enriched my life in an uncountable number of ways. and i would say our friendship has a lot of parallels. although we have similarities, my friend and i are also different in so many ways. i think the differences feed the relationship. and we too extract ourselves from our lives on a regular basis so just the two of us can hang out together. and we are both champions for each other, celebrating in each other's success. and supporting each other in times of need. friendship like that is so sweet.

That’s so beautiful! And yes, it’s so unfortunately rare to find, which is why my friend and I feel so lucky to have each other. I guess it’s hard to develop and maintain any kind of relationship because it does actually take work.

Thank you for this video. It reassured me a lot because I thought I was weird for wanting my married friends, and my friends in general, to check in on me from time to time. So when your married friend said herself that it’s bullshit and even her finds a way to make time for what’s important for her, it freed me some more. I lost a few friendships « over » marriage or babies and although I recognized that the roots must have not been particularly deep or strong, I still wondered « what if I did this or that », what if I was less demanding. All that to say, thank you to your friend and yourself for that sneak peek into the intimacy of your friendship. 😊🙏🏾

I’m so glad that this video helped reassure you. Things do get tough as we get older - our lives evolve so much and in different ways - and so often we drift apart. We accept that marriage and kids take precedence, but friends can be family as well…I think a lot of us forget about that.
