Ya I always thought that was I good idea. So when I decided last year to do a trial run of broilers building one was a must on my list of things for starting broilers.

How many do u roughly butcher each week or how many do u try to bring to market ? What I'm really wondering is how long do u spend butchering chickens each Friday ?
I butcher anywhere between 15-20 birds a week. It really depends on what I'm butchering them for. I target a less weight for whole birds than I do for birds I'm going to parts out. It also depends on what I need to replenish in our stock week to week. The time each week also Very's based on all the above stated. The more parting out I do the longer it takes. On average with Stacy and Logans help we can do 20 birds in 4 hrs. start to finish. If I'm by myself, it's more like ten birds in 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. start to finish
@@Cobbhillfarms great job , I have 2 John schovich stile , I got some white tarps 6 years ago and they are just starting to show their age , we haven't doing meat chickens in 2 years , we did 60 last time and are about to run out . I try to butcher on Veterans Day . I was going to do like 30 this year but haven't , don't know if I will , it's usually a full day for us with help lol . I want to make a couple of chicken tractors like u have , maybe this winter 🤷🏻♂️
Sounds like a good set up. I like Pete;s chciken wagon.
