This is the best tutorial ive seen that helps with not only playing in all 12 keys but learning your main progression and correlating them with the number system and simply memorizing the chord structure by number
The progression fits in “Never Let could have made it” by Marvin Sapp!!
I'm speechless.
You really understand the Times Sire
I needed this.
The Best and easiest approach I‘ve seen on UA-cam so far on this progression. Thanks Emanuel for blessing us again with this great tutorial. Be blessed Brother! 🙏🏾
Wow wow you are the teacher. Be blessed brother
I've watched hundreds of videos but this one finally made me understand me the big picture , thank you!
Thanks for the time it took you to put this together and to think through the best way to help a guy like me understand. Keep up the good work. God Bless!
Excellent way to practice the circle fo 4ths. This progression is on so many songs, my favorite: Never would have nade it.
I am truly grateful to you for sharing your wonderful gift, many musicians do not want to share their secrets to help those of us who are still up and coming.
Thank you for this. I never learned scales or chords. The variety of visual representations plus your explanations make this seem like something I can learn.
Thanks!
Beautiful job on these progressions! You make learning these progressions so easy to understand! 💯
Never mind
But u should make your tutorial less complicated
I’ve been struggling with playing the same way in every key for years and have been searching online for an effective way to learn - this is it. Thank you!
Wow. I used this same progression to learn all keys way back in 2013. Didn't know it was this powerful. You are basically learning major and minor triads and basically getting yourself equipped for all chords changes that are likely to pop up in songs
Absolutely agree!!!!
How long did it take you to learn in all keys@@larryk.watson2778
This is awesome. Am still chewing it.
Stuck in the key C but am growing with this lesson
Makes me cry to hear this tune, sounds so beautiful and I'm learning how to transpose by following you! Thank you so much👍🏽 May God continue to bless your gift🙏🏽
Thank you for making this so simple to follow. Your approach to thinking about the chord also helped me move faster with the chord changes.
Thanks again for your great tutorial

Thank You Sir, I was looking for these exercises. This video is to me as a light on my learning piano way.
God bless you for teaching us musicians!
This is a great exercise. Thank you.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
Love this tutorial so much.
Thank you for your kind consideration and efforts.
Cool lesson. Really nice sounds. My personal preference is to ascend by 4ths. Also by whole tones, 'cause that's the most common modulation in popular music. Also, if you're new to 12 key work, I'd suggest starting with a much simpler chart - like, say 2-5-1, and working your way up to something as complex as this. Start by writing out the chart in (key independent) numbers. And get used to associating a number with a scale note for whatever scale you're currently in.
Simple explanation and elaboration!be blessed!
You are blessed and efficient, thank you very much
Thank you Mr Emmanuel. This really enlightened me sir.
That is what I’ve been looking for. Thanks bro. I’m starting the exercise tomorrow.
Thank you for explaining what looks complicated (to me) on the staff is actually just inverted cords! Now, it makes sense! Thank you.
Btw, Jehovah God has Blessed you with talent, immeasurable. Praise His Name and His Name only shall be Praised!
Thank you.. this is great exercise for any level of musicianship.. just great !!! Thank you…

Can someone think of a song that goes with this progression? Never would have made it is one. I have been practicing this week but going round the circle instead. It’s so fun! Thanks again Emmanuel
This exercise can be beginner rated, only to the point that you use shapes, particularly in the right hand. Other than that, there is a lot to unpack here... which could easily take 2 or 3 years of learning. I know musicians that have little musical theory knowledge, but can play like nobody's business; and that has to do a lot with shapes, rhythm and
a good musical ear.
If you are a beginner, lacking a good grip on theory and you want to master this, the main thing to do here, 'is to keep the same fingerings', throughout this exercise; especially in the right hand. You could use 1 3 5 fingering, the thumb being 1, middle finger being 3, and pinky being 5, or like I use, fingers 1 2 4, in order to leave the pinky free to play other notes later on. After you master a scale or all 12 scales, then try different fingerings for certain chords in the right hand, and see how that goes.
If I was a beginner, I would start with my favorite scale keys, like the key of C, then move on to the key of E, until I can do at least 4 or 5 favorites. Then move on to the chromatic approach, which maybe scales you don't ever use, but it's differently cool.
Also, practice the left hand bass part, until you can do it with your eyes closed, then tackle the right hand triads, keeping the fingering consistent throughout the exercise.
Go slow, doing little chunks at a time!!! Also, you do have to know a little bit about major scales and their triads, respectively, which you could look those up as you work
from one scale to the next, which would be a great introduction to musical theory. Another good thing to remember is, what a great harmonica player told many moons ago: "learn where all the notes are before doing all that fancy stuff"; like articulation, dynamics, effects, etc... It's a game changer!!!
With a bit of patience and practice, you could impress anybody, including students of music. Great job on this video and... One of my favorites!!!
Fantastic! Thank you
exactly what i was looking for
nice approach and tutorial

Can someone say "Never would've made it" by Marvin Sapp?! Lol...this is great brother!!!! When it first started I was like "I know, I know this" I noticed how it sound so familiar and then when I heard it again it reminded me of never would have made it by Marvin Sapp!! Like I said great work!!!
Exactly! Excellent exercise!

Great tutorial my brother🔥👊
Yep, this is the best video for this progression on youtube. Got it in C major after 30 mins, now the rest of the keys 😅
You got this! 1 key per day lol
great tutorial!! ❤
i have a suggestion for a supplemental follow up! What if you create a video specifically for us to practice with you on? so no intro, nor explanations, just slowly playing the progression like how you suggest that we do. it would be on repeat for me! 😂
