Beautiful work! 😸 Thanks to Betty Ann for designing a gorgeous blanket. By the way, I really enjoy your videos. Your stitches are so beautiful and overall your work is very clean looking. Thank you for sharing Betty Ann's blanket. 🙏👍
I am making a Houndstooth afghan and finally found the perfect border pattern for my project. It is much easier than I had imagined. Thank you for sharing this pattern!
Omgosh....I love this!! Definitely going to give it a try. Have made this varicose blanket in the past...but boy does it pop alternating colors every other row. The border will be time consuming but worth it. Thank you so much for this video tutorial
This is a beautiful blanket. I've been wanting to crochet a blanket for myself but did not want a traditional afghan looking one. I'm so excited. I love the houndstooth pattern.
Thank you so much for making videos like these! You're a wonderful teacher. 💕 I had given up crochet because I found trying to read written patterns so difficult to follow, but your videos are inspiring me to try it again. Thank you!!!

I love all your patterns. They look difficult and complex but are very maker-friendly. I'm working on the gingham pattern now and this will be next. Thanks for sharing!
This pattern is what i have been looking for. I will be making a twin size, using black and white colors. Will be making a twin size. Can't wait to get started.
Wow. This is certainly a blanket that makes an impact. I can’t wait to try it....mmm now to search my yarn stash for just the right colour combinations. Thanks 💜🌼🧶
This is sort of exciting. I’ve been waiting to try your gingham blanket until I finished a few other things, but now I want to do this first! Also-your explanation of the border clarified a passage that I never understood in a sweater pattern I have.
This stitch is known as the Houndstooth Stitch. I've watched many videos with this stitch name and they are all the same as the one in your video. It’s a beautiful stitch!
I love this thank you. 😊👍 I’m working on this now, but would love to see how you do the entire border around the corner and then final join. Please? 🤗🙏👍
Absolutely love this, but still not clear about the border at the end and how to it on the corner. I'm gonna have to try and play around with it and see before I do the project... thanks so much.
Thanks Betty Ann. Thank you Tiffany for the tutorial. I can't wait to try this one! Phenomenal! ❤ Tiffany, does this yarn split? It looks like it could quite a bit. Do you have any tips on how to cut down yarn splitting? Thanks again, great job! 🐾☕
It splitted because the yarn was pulled out of the skein 'double-back or u-turn to the mfr direction at project start. Using your fingertip to find + pull, if you can't tell ply twist by eye, prevents that overall project stiff look + feel. The video opening's item white edging was correctly skein-pulled but not the white in main body, see how stiff it folds.
Thanks fot ur response.. I didn't make myself clear ..i was refering to the white border's corner, do i jusr work over those three stitches ? Or do I put 3 in the middle stitch ?
I know, I'm sorry I was tired at that point! lol! But if you watch to the end of the border section I talk about how you slip stitch into the same corner stitch 3 times. So work out to the end, turn, work back down toward the border, slip stitch into the corner stitch and repeat this 3 times. It will fan out around the corner. If you do a swatch, while you are working it will make sense. Good luck! I'm sure I'll use that border again and I'll remember to do a corner.
Love the houndstooth look. Do you think the same look could be achieved by just doing one row at a time and leaving a long tail to make a fringe (like the Apache Tears pattern)? I think I might have to try a swatch soon and see if it works!
Love the overall effect and really enjoying this project but my edges seem longer than the middle! Do I need to tighten my turning stitch or will the half double crochets in the border rectify this?
I did this blanket in forest green and white and it is seriously my FAVORITE blanket stitch. It just looks so beautiful.
Oooo I might do forest green and cream ✨🌿
What a show stopper! Thank you so much Betty Ann and Daisy Farm Crafts. Excellent instructions. I will definitely start this soon.

Beautiful blanket. It reminds me of the houndstooth pattern. I may have to make one. Thanks for sharing this tutorial with us.
I looked into the comments to see if anybody else thought it looked like a houndstooth pattern too! 😁 👍🏻
It is the houndstooth.
Yes, it is the houndstooth. If it’s a much smaller scale, it’s nickname is puppytooth.

Hi, what size yarn did you use? 5oz or 10oz ball. She states to use four what does say what size ball…thanks
My favorite one yet. I'm definitely adding this to my list of things to make.
Love, love, love this.
Looks great, I’d say hounds tooth. And as for the border area, I’d leave it all one colour. Love this look. I may have to do this. God bless

@@Triad637 thank you! I read your comment regarding this. Thank you so much! I'm going to start practicing this.
That is beautiful . I just wish you had show us you doing the corners . Not quite sure how to do it .
She did. Going around with the half double you put 3 half doubles in the first stitch of each side. Hope that helps!
Thanks fot ur response.. I didn't make myself clear
..i was refering to the white border's corner, do i jusr work over those three stitches ? Or do I put 3 in the middle stitch ?
Mary M - yes work in every stitch. Otherwise you would have bunching

I was looking for a black and white pattern. This might be a good one.❤
