Election 2017 Views of Devon Traveler John Treagood

- Devon Traveller John Treagood has given his views on the current political landscape in Great Britain following the General Election last week.
Mr Treagood, 81, is currently located between Cullompton and Bradninch on his way to Exeter.He said he had been keeping abreast of what is happening in the world in the Daily Mail - and definitely not The Guardian.
Last week, Theresa May - who at the time the election was called was hoping to increase her majority - lost her Commons majority as Labour made gains across the country.
"I've got no time for politicians, they're all idiots," he said.
Mr Treagood suggested that it may be time for Theresa May to retire, and referred to Jeremy Corbyn as a clown.
"There's too many parties aren't there. We should be like the Americans and just have two. All these people sitting in Parliament getting all that money, and half of them never speak. It's the same with the House of Lords.
"It's all got out of hand, they're all in it for the money."
Mr Treagood added that all he was worried about now was "getting out of bloody Europe."
"I never did like the idea of being part of Europe and I'm not going to change my mind now. I don't know what all this hard and soft Brexit is all about, just go to them and say we're going to leave and then leave."
John, 81, is known to many across the South West region after spending more than 40 years after leaving the army travelling with his horse and cart and stopping at various roadsides on his way around the area.
Last summer he broke a bone in his left leg after tripping over the shaft of his cart.
A worldwide funding appeal in 2015 saw enough money raised for John to buy new horse Misty after Gildor, his horse of 18 years, died
A real person , that's what parliament needs ,not the idiots we have.
A man of clear vision and thought, prepared to voice his opinions openly and without fear. More brains in his little finger than the whole of parliament. RIP John a knowledge horsemen, true countryman and a real gentleman of the road.

I know it’s interesting talking to John but maybe people should just give him some peace and quiet, I’ve seen him become a bit of a celebrity over the last few years and that’s nice but let’s not forget why he lives the way he does, he doesn’t want to live in the rat race
His celebrity got him another horse and caravan..before that..when his horse died..he nearly quit..but I agree about leaving him alone now.
