Really cool video love hearing this type of detail about the course and its history. Makes me even more excited to see it at this year's U.S. Open.

I was very lucky to have. played the Country Club a bunch in the 80s and early 90s, a good friend of mine dad was the superintendent and we were allowed to play it after members and later in the afternoon. I grew up next to Dedham Country and Polo club on a farm and caddied and work there in the early 70s for a while. those two courses are fantastic and fun to play

If you think about it, the 1913 US Open was a real life Caddyshack moment

Do you know (since the they use a composite routing) which hole in this years Open is the Justin Leonard hole from the Ryder Cup?

Beautiful work. It's such a bummer that lifelong Bostonians and golf fans will never be able to play here.

This is the type of course when you have 10 guys shoot -5 on day one and a couple guys get to -7 or -8. This is not a championship course. It is a wonderful course, very pristine, but too short and flat for a challenging US Open. This will be a shootout for 4 days. JT played a practice round on Tuesday this week and shot 30 on the front and 32 on the back....and hit just 2 drivers during the round. Gary Woodland shot a similar number in his practice round

When did he play a practice round this past week. The practice rounds start on 6/13 I thought.
