Would have grabbed the beautiful print in ornate frame for $30, the birds' eggs for $8, the little jars of buttons, and all the old pharmacy items. Loved all the wooden wheels, the big cast iron pot . A little high for resale but lots of cool offerings and I enjoyed going along with you - thanks!
The items were very expensive. I saw a lot of fruit packing boxes. Is this in CA? I have a sm collection of the fruit labels attached to the old wood. I have them displayed in my kitchen. Neat house, but, an awful kitchen. Looks like it has NOT been updated since the 40's or 50's. I heard of one woman who bought a old house and it included all the stuff inside. Imagine what fun to find the treasures inside your OWN house. Of course now they sell all the stuff before the house goes on the market.
Hi, this is in Texas. I really like those fruit boxes but didn't end up getting any. They had more than what I showed in the video in different areas of the home and many of the labels were still in tact. This home does need some tlc for sure but has so much potential. I think that would be a dream to be able to fix it up. Yes! I would love it if they left all the furniture and its' original belongings with it, however, it isn't in my budget at this time. I did ask the Estate company if this house was going up for sale but they weren't sure if that's what the owners were going to do at this time. I do hope soemone gets to do something with it. I was thrilled to get to see the inside of it!
Welcome to UA-cam. I'm sorry you got such negativity out of the gate. That's always the hazard of having a video "take off" before you have built your organic following. I have enjoyed this video and have subscribed.
9:11 So far I’m disappointed that you’re not looking at furniture and showing prices. Trinkets are fine, but some of the furniture that I saw in the background look solid. Was any of that for sale?
Yes, it was all for sale. I do have some improvement to make with my videoing, though I suppose I won't ever be able to please everyone. This was the first Estate Sale for me to video and it is a bit harder than it looks. I was also attempting to avoid the crowd of others that were all around me. I still had fun giving it a try.
Thanks so much for taking us along on your trip through the house. It was really interesting and they had some great things, however so many were very overpriced. I loved that corner shelf, great price and very cute. Hope you ended up getting it. I became a subscriber because I enjoyed the video except for the music. Please consider different music or fill the time telling us about items.❤❤😊
Thank you! I did get the shelf! There is a follow up video showing and telling about the items I did buy. I went back on their half off day and picked up a few more things. I appreciate your advice. I am currently in the process of learning how to do a voice over for my next shopping video and am hoping to become more confident in talking as I go, while filming.
Welcome! By having an Estate Sale can mean that the owners have passed away. The family will hire a company to sell all the belongings inside or some will have the sale themselves. It can be an overwhelming process, especially if the house has sold or is going to be sold. In our area, we have been seeing more live Estate Sales and that means that the owners are alive but moving and needing to downsize and cannot take everything with them. In this particular house, I asked the gentleman that checked me out, if the house was being sold and he didn't know but said the owners lived out of state and he thought possibly it is what they were going to be doing with it.
The prices at that sale seem way high. Not sure where your at, but that may be the way it is. I’m in Iowa and our estate sales don’t seem that high $. Usually here the last day of a sale everything is half price.
I would have loved to have been at this sale, however, the prices are stupid. This is an estate sale not an antique shop. I would be curious to see how much they actually sold.
Prices way too high vs. quality/condition of items. Even considering their age, most of the items were common, not especially unique pre-depression era goods.
Who in the hell put those prices on stuff?! Those Barrister Book cases for $1200!? $350. Maybe$400with the top piece in working condition. And Army filing cabinets? At that price? Way out wrong!
This is true. I found a few items on the first day, then went back on half off day and found a few more things. We ended up getting that butter churn for half the price and that is something we have been wanting for ourselves. The things I really wanted were priced up high, even for half off. I really just enjoyed getting to see the inside of the home and the people that run this Estate Company are so pleasant.
So the house itself was over 100 years old and much of the original furniture and items were in there. There was a mix of antiques and vintage but they were there 😊
Enjoyed seeing everything, and liked the clear prices shown! Fun video, thanks.🎉
This one actually brought tears to my eyes. Someones entire life.....
Yep me to. It felt a little bit invasive of a families life. Sad.
What a beautiful big ol' house. I love all the antiques, and the green painted sunroom. Thanks for sharing.
Lots of beautiful things they had/ beautiful home
It would have been worth going just to see that old well! Glad you got some footage of it!
I agree!
Thanks, for taking us its like im there, good job filming. So many nice things
I would take that house in a heartbeat!! What a beauty.....it was built the year my gma was born
Lol, the year my mom was born.
That house was so cool!

I see many things that were in our house growing up❤

It was like a museum….❤
Awsome house
You haven't picked out much. Lots of cool stuff.
So, yeah, they know their antiques, but still... pretty high prices for an estate sale.
Way overpriced….& I know antiques!
Ridiculous prices on Common Junk !
New subscriber.😊 What an amazing house and filled with so many treasures! Thank you for sharing!!
Well, gee, I knew if Daytrip Julie subscribed, I should, too. ☺
Get the green jadeite ceramics. They are back in style.
I want to buy that house!!! 💕 but also the enamel table and the butter churner
Yes! I want to also and I would want all the furniture to stay with it.
JADEITE!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚

New subscriber. I really liked the gentle music you had playing in the background. Good video.

A lifetime of collecting treasures…
Was that a first edition "Leaves of Gold" book? Love that book!
new to your channel nice video

@@TopsyTurtleThrifter you did a good job, never give up. I subscribed.
@@TopsyTurtleThrifter you're doing great, it takes time. Meanwhile I'll continue watching!!
Prices are mostly retail!
Are you in Texas? We have a Devlin estate sale company where I live too. They always have great sales!!
Yes, just North of Houston. I like to go to their Estate Sales. They are great!
Nice things, but a little pricey.
They had the items way way over priced. You would think they would want to just get rid of the junk!
Hi! I'm from Europe, and I don't know what's a state sale? It means that the owner past the way and didn't have relatives? Thanks

More like a shop! Prices were high.

Wish you could show more slowly
I would have bought that old book of politicians and the book "leaves of Gold" to see how many were 33rd degree freemasons.
No crazy music please
Pricey

There prices are hi!
At those prices it’s not resellers buying.

Where were the antiques

Maybe you missed the very very old phones, crocks, canning jars.
Awful camera angles
Hi, thank you for your comment. I am very new at this but I'm learning 😌 You have a wonderful day.
