PRO TIP: Amazon doesn’t accept Apple Pay, so you can only get 1% cash back using Apple Card BUT Walgreens sells Amazon gift cards… and Walgreens is one of the 3% cash back locations. If you just plan a little ahead, you can get 3% cash back on everything on Amazon (or any other place Walgreens sells gift cards for).
my biggest issue with this card is lack of mint / ynab compatibility. also 3% for apple products is kinda low for being the best category. wish they would offer 2% for online purchases or for physical card

Been using my Apple Card since I got invited to it in 2019! Hadn't used a credit card for years prior to that. But was very interested in this card. Really wanted to use Apple Pay more and this card just works great for me. I've went from using cash for all my transactions to putting everything I can on my Apple card. It's just so much easier using a card than using Cash for transactions. Not to mention the cash back which is easy to understand and can use within a day or two of a transaction posting. I enjoy the security around the card as well, and love the wallet app! Sure it's not Mint, But it's all I need. Anyway, Love using Apple Pay and the card. Very happy with it. Just wish we had more 3% partners. Like AT&T!
In Italy it's the shop that pays the interest for the credit card, but it's like 3%, and we don't have credit score, only a list of people that did something wrong and can't get a new credit card (they didn't pay our something)
I don’t get how places don’t support Apple Pay, at the end of the day it is only NDC. Here in Australia 99% of all cars taking businesses have NFC eftpos terminals.
I applied for an Apple Card on day one and instantly got denied for having too many monthly expenses (I didn’t actually have any; I was in college, still living with my parents). Since then, I’ve reapplied at least once a month until I finally got approved last December. I agree that it makes credit cards easy to understand, and encourages paying off your balance every month, but I don’t agree that it’s a good first credit card. It’s very sporadic reporting to credit bureaus, which makes building credit kinda tough. As far as this month’s Panera offer goes, I looked into that subscription, and it’s a really good deal if you’re a coffee drinker (like me). The fact that you can get 4 months of that subscription for free just by having an Apple Card is an INSANE deal. I couldn’t care less about News+, I agree.
I held back on applying for this card because apple didn’t report to the three main credit three bureaus. But thank you for setting things straight and they now report to the three. So tempted to apply. I’m preapproved but didn’t hit that accept yet. Haha
I do love my Apple Card and I agree the wallet app is amazing and so easy to use, however my Amazon card is my daily driver and I wish it could be otherwise. Everything you buy from Amazon gives you 5% cash back, plus the standard 3% on gas and food and 1% on everything else. So through the course of the year with normal buying, plus monthly subscriptions I accumulate several hundred dollars of Amazon credit. That credit pays for Christmas … to include gift wrapping and cards! That’s pretty tough to beat and difficult to give up.
Love my Apple Card. Love how it handles buying Apple devices on SameAsCash installments. Everything very simple and easy. Love how the card has no key info printed on it that could be used,
Yeah if you pay it off every month it does make you money. 8 months in I’ve been using it for items and bills I’d pay for anyway and I’m up to 425.00 in Apple Cash
You’re probably best to get a secured Discover card for that purpose. I have the Apple Card and I like it, but it’s not the best for building credit. You can get cards with a lower APR & higher credit limit for the same credit score. A higher limit matters even if you never use it because it lowers your % utilization, helping your credit score.
@@jorjlim Sorry for the late response! Just saw this! So basically, they take your card to their cash register. It isn't very secure, so restaurants are moving towards having portable machines that can accept Apple Pay and contact-less cards for higher end places, as well as having digital devices at more casual restaurants at the table where you can view the menu and pay with chip, contact-less and Apple Pay
Out of the 3 credit cards I had, Apple was the only one that was willing to delay my payments due to COVID. I really respect them for that. My only gripe with the card is that mine looks like the card in the wallet app now with all the fancy colors due to sitting in my wallet for two years 😅
Isopropyl alcohol. Spritz a little onto a micro fibre cloth and wipe it down. It won’t take off all of the stains but it certainly did make mine look a bit better :)
Im amazed that apple pay isn’t available EVERYWHERE in the USA. We got apple pay like a year ago in Estonia and you can pay EVERYWHERE with it. Even in markets and corner stores. I mean EVERYWHERE.
I agree. It blew my mind that pay wave (tap payments) aren’t a default in USA. It’s the number 1 way of paying in Australia. Ether it’s by tapping card, phone or watch at any eftpos terminal. All eftpos terminals here accept Apple Pay.
I honestly want Apple to open a online bank built into the wallet app and have it work just like the Apple Card I love the gps purchasing feature and the interface is just perfect
I remember reading an observation from someone that the Apple Card has the due date for this month’s transactions on the last day of the following month for every user is a huge undertaking because of how bombarded their servers must get on that day, but it makes understanding the monthly transactions closing date and the payment due dates far more simple than other credit cards.
I’ve worked in a fast food restaurant for a year and a half now and I’ve only seen two Apple Cards! I definitely thought there would be more out there. I’ve also seen most people want to pay with chip instead of swipe/Apple Pay/tap. I use Apple Pay with my phone all the time but most people don’t even use that. It’s 110% underrated.
I don’t have an Apple Card, because I livening Europe. However, here in Europe or especially in Slovakia, you can pay nearly anywhere by using contactless payments ( Apple Pay, google pay…). I rarely use cash and generally avoid places where they only accept cash.

Restaurants can incorporate a system that uses Apple Pay easily, when I was in Canada a couple years ago I was at a Swiss Chalet restaurant and the waitress had a handheld credit card machine she brought to the table, that really should be a mandatory thing for every restaurant, I really don't like the idea of someone walking off with my card.
It’s very very rare in the states. Only place I know is Red Robbin. You have tablet at your table. When you’re ready to pay you just put your card in select how you want to pay (tip/split payments)
Why can’t you just pay on the way out like almost every restaurant in Australia. Once you’re done, you tell them the table number and they have everything right there. You can even split the bill as they just tap each item YOU had at that table and charge you just for that so you don’t even have to all leave at the same time. Then tap your phone or card any away you go. It’s SO much easier!

About the kids being affiliated users of the credit card. I was one of those kids, not at the age of 13 more like 15. I’ve noticed that Apple doesn’t allow for the HomePod Mini to be paid for in interest-free payments like the Apple Pencil, which is the same price. I suspect that’s there’s not as much room for profit with the HomePod Mini.
2 years ago when I was in Europe the restraints had a contactless card reader they carried over to the table for you to put the card in or tap. The US is behind on this Technology. I do get all the time when I use my card "You work for Apple" HAHA...

Hello Mr. Tailosive. Been a while since I watched one of your videos. In fact I think one of the last ones I watched was your initial review on the Apple Card. Hope your doing well.
@@TailosiveTech yeah I’ve been alright. Your vids on Apple made me go from Android to an iPhone because of your reviews and your thoughts on Apple. And you reviewed them for long term as opposed to the other reviewers who use them for a couple days and toss them aside. Since then the last time I watched one of your videos I got into cars so UA-cam was like “alright let’s stop recommending tech stuff to this guy.” But I’m gonna get back into tech now. I’m currently working on increasing my Apple Card credit limit so I can use my Apple Card as my main card. Now I only use it for in app purchases and subscriptions. I have found, here in Texas, that we have a few restaurants that do take Apple Pay.
Love my Apple Card and have generally used it a lot, the only reason I’m using another one primarily is for a Southwest Airlines bonus as I prepare for a trip next year to make my flights on points that I’m really close to making
Yooooo I got the Apple Card a few days ago, getting my card in the mail on Wednesday, and thank god they added all 3 credit bureaus, just in time too! Been trying to build my score 😄
Can you please cover Apple's new initiative of csam and scanning iPhones? I feel like it's going too under the radar for something that has massive implications for the direction of Apple's future
I want one but my Amex gets me so many more reward dollars at grocery stores(6%), gas stations(3%), and subscriptions(6%). Can’t figure out how I’d use it.
Seems most of the ads are for the 3% merchants and offerings. I dont mind seeing them, especially if they could add more 3% merchants by showing ads. I do wish you could do installments on purchases like afterpay. I would LOVE to be able to do that
I use my Costco Citi card for gas, dining out, travel and of course Costco. I use the Apple Card for those little purchases that my Costco card will only give me 1% back on. After all, 2% is better than 1%.
It blows my mind how far behind the USA is with Apple Pay and contactless. Here in the UK I’d say 95%+ of businesses accept it including restaurants, barbershops, even some of those busking at London Underground stations support it these days! If the Apple Card was offered here it would be fantastic
I have not been to the US for a while now (living overseas), but even on military installations they seem quite behind on contactless compared to European businesses. I won’t let my recent limited exposure here generalize the entire US, but I can’t help but be shocked by the smallest German businesses carrying around a contactless card reader! I know there’s more to it, but it’s still amusing
Pretty pointless to ever us the physical card, i never carry it around, only use it on my phone but its so damn convenient. I do live in Los Angeles so its available pretty much everywhere, i know thats not the case in some places.
The credit card game doesn't sound like it is for you. I am glad that you know your limits rather than spending frivolously. I like the credit card game for the travel benefits, although limited now, but it'll come back in time.
The Chili's next to my place has a gizmo on the table that lets me pay by tapping my Pixel, I'm sure it would work with an iPhone as well. It's the same thing that let's you pay a buck so your kid can play mobile game knock-offs while you dine.

Hello Mr. Tailosive. Been a while since I watched one of your videos. In fact I think one of the last ones I watched was your initial review on the Apple Card.
Hope your doing well.
Thanks David! Hope you’re doing well too
@@TailosiveTech yeah I’ve been alright. Your vids on Apple made me go from Android to an iPhone because of your reviews and your thoughts on Apple. While I have had issues with my iPhone XS Max, there isn’t nearly as much as on my Samsung galaxy S8.
I did really value your videos because you actually reviewed these products and gave your genuine thoughts on them.
I don’t recall the name you gave it but unintentionally I have been doing the wireless charging challenge for the past couple months.
Anyway. Glad I’m back to watching your videos as I did always enjoy them.
I believe you can easily copy transactions from the Apple Card web portal! I think it even offers spreadsheet export
I don’t know if it helps but instead of adding transactions 1 by 1 to spread sheets you can export by using the web link however it won’t play them in categories though
I’m still waiting for the card to come to Ireland
9:10 give my card to the waiter?
Here in Brazil the waiter just bring a credit card machine to the table and I pay with Apple Pay really easily.
I forget that USA card doesn't have a PIN, on the rest of the world they bring the credit card machine so you can insert your PIN 🤷🏻♂️
i know some debit cards use pins! BUT for my debit card it’s 50/50 if i need to use a pin lol
We are quite behind
First
How do you build up your credit score? Is that free?
NOICE!!!
Would be nice if we had Apple Card in the UK
Woah, it’s been 2 years?!
So I can get an Apple Card and not use it at all?
So what credit score are they asking for?
Yooooo I got the Apple Card a few days ago, getting my card in the mail on Wednesday, and thank god they added all 3 credit bureaus, just in time too! Been trying to build my score 😄
I’m gunna open an Apple Card, swipe swipe swipe and I’m never going to look at my statements and not pay back any of what I spent!
That’s good that they report to all 3
Can you please cover Apple's new initiative of csam and scanning iPhones?
I use my Apple Card for Apple and zero interest installments but I get better rewards with my travel cards most other places.
When are you going to do a video on Apple's CSAM spyware and it's now broken promise on privacy ?
The credit card game doesn't sound like it is for you. I am glad that you know your limits rather than spending frivolously. I like the credit card game for the travel benefits, although limited now, but it'll come back in time.
You know what I hate about Apple Card? The fact that it’s not available anywhere other than the USA
The Chili's next to my place has a gizmo on the table that lets me pay by tapping my Pixel, I'm sure it would work with an iPhone as well. It's the same thing that let's you pay a buck so your kid can play mobile game knock-offs while you dine.
Bro Apple just gave me 4 months of free coffee and you’re complaining lol
the way around her to see the transaction have her log in to card.apple.com with your appleid then click on statements that will list all transactions and you can download the pdf files and import that into meant with copy paste or statement imports
2 years since they released Apple Card ? And.. Apple still have not release Apple Pay in Malaysia 😂
I would use the Apple Card as my only card if I could, but I live in Australia, and thus haven’t had the chance to
Two years of Apple Card, and still not available in UK. !!!
Overall disappointing and the best part remains to be how you pay it off
Cool video I keep getting denied for the Apple Card hopefully I get approved for the card soon and every time I get denied for the card a promotion shows every time
I have had Apple Card for a little bit and its just so… convenient.
Why don’t you just send your wife a screenshot of the transactions?
You can actually export the transactions and air drop them to your device but you have to wait until the end of the month statement. Not ideal.
Sadly Apple card isn't available in the UK yet.
They should make the physical card in red
As a latchkey kid, my mom added me to her credit car in my late teens once I started driving so that I could get groceries for the family (aka she didn’t have to feel guilty about us being hungry or waiting for her to get groceries). There are some reasons for kids to have them, but also man she was brave 😅🤣
0/10 still not available in the Netherlands
Apple Card gives you 3 hands?
Well they still don’t wanna give me one smh
Drew: #1. This can’t be your first card because you need a 600 score.
#2: if you guys are filing taxes jointly, which I suspect you guys are, then Louise getting another credit card won’t really matter too much because you guys are sharing that info together.
I know people who got this as their first.
It impacts her credit report nothing to do with taxes
