- This is another relaxing sound. This time it's rain, but there is also some background noise in form of cars and other noises, which only adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Listen to this while trying to fall asleep, or while reading/studying/anything else where you have to concentrate.
You can also combine this relaxing rain with some music - personally I can recommend some chilly jazz music. This relaxing rain is best when being listened to through a high quality pair of headsets or headphones.

It amazes me that people can find thunder relaxing. I'm from Alabama. This is the sound that precedes a tornado. It fills me with anxiety. But many of my friends here in the upper midwest really dig it.
I listen to it because my neighbors are partying with loud music. I like mixing the rain with their bad music.

I've listened to many "rain sound" videos and have found only one other relaxing as this one. Though i have to say, this one really hits the comfort and realistic vibe. The distant car tires splashing the fresh pour on the road is perfect. This is by far the best rain sound video out of all of them
I feel comfort in the sound of the rain which is tinged with melancholy and nostalgia .
But the rain which keeps falling interminably will be sometimes the mortal weapon and makes the person ruin .

thanks for this, sitting in a cafe trying to do some work and a guy with his 4 year old came in with a fire truck, siren and all flying around on the floor. Seen him before here. Its an obvious I have the kid on Sundays kinda dad thing. Got my noise cancelation headsets on (would really recommend goji headsets - ear buds, works great in planes and trains), turned the rain way up and boy it feels a lot better.

I associate these sounds with negative ions and that helps me to relax and focus on peacefulness. When near a fountain or a waterfall we are exposed to falling water which generates negative ions. They have been shown to have a positive effect on people's moods. I'm a believer.
