Fair play to Dougie Freedman, I would've been content with him joining us but it's always nice to see abit of loyalty in the game. Palace is his club and they have an exciting project going in the right direction. I respect it 👏 As for Ashworth I told everyone he was the biggest fraud in the game and now everyone's starting to see it 🐍🐍
Bowen finished with 16 goals and 6 assists, and what a signing he'd be for Newcastle. Just imagine him and Gordon in the same team. Barnes staying fit for the season too, fighting with these guys to get into the first team.
If Newcastle get Bowen, they're going places. Isak, Gordon have been brilliant this season and we know Barnes has quality when he's fit. A great signing for Newcastle if this gets done.

I didn't realise how bad Lloyd Kelly's injury record is. He's missed 81 games since 2019/20, which isn't far from 50% of games over the past five seasons! That's just five games better than Callum Wilson.

Paul agree with you 100% on Ashworth. If according to reports he feels he was sacked but only put in the claim when the discussions on the compensation fee came to a halt right away thats a red flag to me and I also think would be to an arbitration panel. With the alledged emails and comments he alledgedly told the clubs hierachy that could also undermine his credibility in the eyes of the arbitration panal. As a club if we feel any PL/FA/UEFA rules have been breached with regards to the approach by MU then we should report all the individuals concerned and MU as well to all the relevent authorities and not let it pass. Also if there has been a breach of contract with repect to the communications then we should sue Dan Ashworth as well, We should put this into the public domain about taking him to court and the reports to the football authorities as Ratcliffe did in the london marathon. Agbonlahor and Brazil talking absolute rubbish and need to keep their mouths shut without the facts as saying the wrong thing could have legal implications. For me I can thnk of a few reasons why Dougie Freedman is not coming to us but there are plenty of others we can approach who are good fits. The recruitment company we are using will have a list of the candiadates and should have listed them in priority with the board for making job offers and will be making offers. Bowen yes for me on the RW PL proven and can play through the middle as well like AG and is a tryer. CL no for me too injury prone. Just hope that Tosin and Kelly sign on 14th June and thats 2 in the bag to improve the squad.

16 goals and 6 assists and Gordon with 11 goals and 10 assists. One only has to do the math and add to Isacs goals. That's very close to title winning goal and assist contributions with Isak getting 21 goals and 2 assists. That's 66 goal and assist contributions from just three players.
Dougie Freedman staying could simply be due to Palace's strong finish to the season, promising project there.

Freedman turned us down as he has full freedom at Palace and wouldn’t get that with us and Palace has gave him a double his money contract.

It is possible that Freedman wouldn't have as much influence at Newcastle as he'd like. I suspect Ashworth, although a snake, wasn't getting what he wanted when working with Howe and his team. Just an theory but perhaps Freedman doesn't like that idea either. I don't mind, we signed class players before Ashworth turned up.
Even though he’s injury prone I would rather us get Olise or at least someone of a similar profile. You need some balance in your team and Olise would provide that. Pace and one wing with Gordon and beautiful control and poise on the other.
I don't think DCL would be that costly anymore and COULD be a decent player but it's a massive gamble. Bowen would be unreal shows the market we're looking at for rw with Bowen and Olise being the only concrete links so far

Freedman made the right choice for him. We need to realise that we are not the Big Club that we think we are. And, you can’t ignore the fact there are still come people who do not want to be associated with us due our ownership.
Dan Ashworth is lower than a snake’s ball bag. Both he and Berrada should be getting a ban from all football related activities for around 12 months and Manchester United getting a fine and a ban from transfer activities for 6 months. If the Premier League and the FA want to prove that they have a suitable and robust governance policy they need to make an example now they have a clear and obvious breach of contract and their policy that they can prove.
It would be nice if a Saudi club would pay over the odds for some of our players for once tbh. I am sick of seeing Chelsea, Liverpool squad players going to Saudi for massively inflated fees while we get massively underinflated fee for ASM. 100% Lewin not for me.. but Bowen, yes, for sure. Plus, he keeps himself fit in the off-season by working all hours on a farm, so he stays fit. Unlike Lewin, he's an Eddie type player.
