It had been years since I dreamed of catching a Marlin while spearfishing!
It's done, with this magnificent white marlin.
I never would have imagined capturing it on our Atlantic coast, only 2.5 hours away.
Underwater fishing for White Marlin is very specific, you must first get the fish on lures dragged by the boat, then jump into the water while the boat is still running.
It is then necessary to gauge the size of the fish in a few seconds.
I could only shoot one fish during this stay for reasons of respect these superb fish. It was therefore necessary to select a beautiful fish.
I was equipped with my Bazil Daniel shotgun, a 120 cm double invert roller which allowed me to shoot from a distance, because the visibility is so important that it is very difficult to judge the distance and the size of the fish.
We were very well received in Morocco (Casablanca) and I thank many Moroccan underwater hunters, the association of friends of the sea of ​​Casablanca, Said, Christophe and Ismaël who allowed me to take out my rifle which was blocked at customs .

Je suis passionnés de chasse sous marine depuis plus de 10ans, et je te respecte beaucoup. Ça n'engage que moi mais tuer de tel poissons je ne comprendrais jamais.

Je peux comprendre ta réaction , c est un vrai débat …
pourquoi tél poisson plutôt qu un autre !?
Le poisson a été débité partagé et consommé comme un thon , un gros maigre ou bcp d autre poisson .
Mais je te l accorde même si ils ne sont pas spécialement plus rares les Marlins on une aura particulière.

@@akamspearfishing c'est subjectif mais sûrement à cause de leur beauté de leur taille et de leur rareté. Au même titre qu'un thon pour ma part. Mais pour moi ce genre de poisson ce sont les rois des océans je préfère les voir nagé et chasser plutôt qu'avec une flèche en travers.
