Woody, thank you for the great technique. It is wonderful you share your experience. Thank you!
Woody is the best !! He's always teaching and helping.. saw him helping at the last two meeting i attended at the gpap as a new member ....
I get it! Research, search & exploring! Collect as much info as you can is very important for an adventurer! Hopefully one day something will click or connect or spark into a discovery! It's usually like this - suddenly or born again! Best old luck to you all!
Honest to gosh Woody, I can listen to you all day. Take care guys and keep the videos coming.
Thankyou for the great lesson use to live in Arizona loved it. I'm a plumber and moved for work im a plumber. Going to lake superior to pan in a few months cant wait. Learned a few better tips from u ! Thankyou !
Woody seems like such a awesome guy, I would give my left leg to be able to go out just one day with him!
Hey guys! Thanks for another great episode. Appreciate the knowledge that Woody has and his willingness to share.
Cheers! Love to pan around Lynx, heard tell of some nice stuff back there. Same as Woody, if I am not panning I am not happy. Off to prospect around Weko Beach today, all flour but better than being at home.
another great one in the books and really enjoyed it, thanks.
stay safe out there and looking forward to the next one.
Ron
Awesome, good start for the young man to have that much gold in his first panning. I got to do some panning many years ago but found very small amount of gold. Still it was fun. Been awhile, would love to experience that adventure again.
Thanks for sharing your video.Arizona is a great place to prospect.
Very nice young man, nice to see you teach him Woody.
Thank you guys so much for this!
I like what he said about scattering his pile or as I would say leave no Trace
Another great episode guys !!! Someone got bit by the " Gold Bug " !!!
Finding that in a pan would've lit a fire under me like I gotta hurry-up and start panning. If I got time to kill then I got time to find gold.
Another Great Video.
Great show wish I was there too hunt down some clues with u guys!
What a great video, Woody is such a nice fella! How far away from Lynx creek were the Dutchman's Walker mining district claims like the Gross lode? And has anyone located any of the Dutchman claims up there?
I didn't realize I was panning in Lynx Creek in Prescott, and I always thought that the Superstitions were down by Apache Junction. Gee, I lived in Chandler 15 Years and didn't know that. hmmmmmm Lynx Creek down off Walker Rd. hmmmm
huckfinnsj we took the samples up to woody from the Superstitions. He took us to lynx creek panning. Thought that was pretty obvious.
Cool video. Thx CR
And for the kids listen to the old timers trust me pick their brains you got to realize there's so much knowledge locked into that brain and it's there for the taking if you want it what what he knows is priceless you don't know how lucky you are shoot I wish my aunt and uncle was still around cuz there's a lot of knowledge that was locked up in that brand that I never got because I was a dumb kid and I thought I knew everything but yeah if you're smart unlock that knowledge unlock it because once he's gone the knowledge is gone
And the peak in that map is not the needle....its the peak west of the fort and and black queen....
Dutch hunting!
Video starts @18:39
bad guys including who? you are funny people
It's in the Bradshaw's... Look at his history. He would go back to where he knew and had found gold before
Miles Mitchell except the ore and gold matrix was tested and it came from the Superstition area. Not the Bradshaws or the Vulture
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 so if they knew if was from the superstitions by the test. Then there is documented mines in those mountains.ua-cam.com/video/74iR6ZQo9wo/v-deo.html
There are fingerprints basically of how the ore was formed and where the gold cane from. That was all done and reported in Thomas Glovers “the golden dream”
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 How it was formed is easy to determine but does not tell you location, lol. Otherwise you would go to the correct location. Probably an epithermic or mesothermic deposit where there is erosional fanning from a butte.
The lost dutch is the black queen area
Search from tortila flat to the salt river find it for me the perelta mine
What do you think about prospecting in the Cave Creek area?
There aren’t many open areas/claims out there, but there was decent gold at one time
anyone ever come out to New Mexico, I have some very interesting finds out here, would love some help !
can you do this anywhere or do you have to go to sites that are known to have or had gold ?
FaqUrNwoBS look at the geology and take a shot. The saying is: Gold is where you find it!!!!
Pan it down further. It's easier.
A Person taps the pan to bring the gold up the side of the pan from under the black sand, it is called the blueberry bounce, I can make that gold travel to any part of the pan I want, not just on top of the b;lack sand.
Please give up the alcohol. It isn't good to be n alcoholic
This is great for intellectual curiosity and a great learning opportunity of the process and history, but I hope these people (or later people who will come) are not seriously thinking that they can find any worthwhile amount of gold ... because if there is any substantial gold to be found using these old-fashioned methods, then it would have been found and taken looooong time ago. Gold dust is not worth all the time and effort for gold diggers.
What I noticed about these small amounts of gold dust is they are great for jewelry. When I found my little bit of gold doing the gold panning process, I later put it into earrings that were little decorative bottles. It was fun to ware and have people ask what is that? I say gold that I panned myself. They were always intrigued by it. Course that was in the 70's. I think some friends helped themselves to them. I still rock them today if I had them.
LMAO at "Best Prospector in Arizona" why didn't he take you to a claim not Lynx in Dewey...to a Gold Miner in Arizona who lives on a Claim...this "Woody" guy is a joke
Can I come and work a day with you this summer? I don't mess around I work my ass off..if yes let me give you my email...
I totally miss hanging with Woody and the whole crew. This episode just brings me back to Arizona, back to the Superstition Mountains. I think a return trip to Arizona will be in the cards for me sooner than later. Thanks to everyone for watching this episode, and thanks to Woody for teaching me many things gold and geology related! Great episode. Prescott looks amazing.
We miss you too buddy, we look forward to you returning and if nothing else sitting around the campfire.
