Another great video Bob n Jenny , and some great history facts Jenny every summer when I was a youngster we crossed on the ferry on our usual summer holiday fishing trips with my dad and brothers heading up to Altnaharra if you missed the ferry it seemed ages to drive around loch Leven but at least we got a fish supper ,
I got myself a little confused when I saw your title. Being Scottish, I thought I knew where Loch Leven was. It's in Fife, North of Dunfermline. Imagine my surprise to find out there two Loch Leven in Scotland. Thanks for the geography lesson aswell as the road trip.👍🖖🏴🏴🏴
Hi Bob and Jenny. Just catching up on some of your holiday having missed lots due to our own travels. The weekend before last we enjoyed meeting Ads and Zoe, and Rob and Lynn at the Overland Show, Stratford, a stones throw from home. We have just arrived home from a fabulous weekend in Shropshire, and this weekend we are at home to catch up on the chores !! Best Wishes Dave and Soph xx
At a part of the smaller Glen Cole road is where some of the first Harry Potter film was made. The road was closed for some time for this to happen. There use to be a campsite in that road called the Red Squirrel campsite, and was nick named the dead squirrel campsite because the midgies were so awful! I can remember the Ballachulish ferry, they had powerful motors and the current in the water was strong.
Really interesting info on the history of the old road around the loch. The scenery is just amazing. If this was on the Sunday, we were right above you climbing the "Pap of Glencoe."😁
Another cracking video , I was in a B&B in Ballachulish from the 4th September until the 7th (this year )with my wife we always go to kinlochleven and glencoe , was this Sunday the 5th September if yes the Glencoe marathon was taking place that might of been what you seen in kinlochleven, take care Danny 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you, yet again for your stunning video. The inclement weather added a certain atmosphere, especially in the photos, early on. Thank you Jenny for all the interesting info of the area. Are you a retired schoolteacher?
Thanks, but not a teacher, 😁 we had a Sage Reseller Software business and Jenny wrote database systems to work with Sage. Before that, I worked as a Technical Manager for BT and Jenny was a Branch Manager for the Halifax.
Wow we cycled 🚲 round there a week past Saturday so beautiful but we were round the other way, we stopped at that second stop for our snack stunning view 😍 I’m watching it waiting to see you pass us on our bikes 😂, we also climbed Ben Nevis the day before 🏔 🥵🥵🥵 That campsite looks stunning we were in the one on the edge of the village still very beautiful nestles in the mountains
For any Harry Potter fans , at 13mins and 4 seconds on the video , directly up the hill on the left is where Hagrid,s hut was built and filmed for The prisoner of Azkahban. Not much to see now but same treeline and View .
Thanks for sharing your Scotland trip we have enjoyed it . We are supposed to be going soon but with the fuel problems I have no idea if we will make it. Take care : ) Teddy
I was wondering if the flags were from the Glencoe Skyline event 18th Sept? We were very familiar with the old ferry and knew the exact house where it was quicker to go the long way round than wait in the queue. Monument to James of the Glen right by the south end of the bridge.
Question: I know you are both extremely old and have done this since cars were invented... but is there anywhere in the UK you haven't been but would love to visit? 😁
Haven’t got our motorhome yet, it’s the retirement plan in a couple of years. Seeing these narrow (but beautiful) roads, how do you find driving on these roads. My husband is worried about driving down these roads in a motorhome
Again an excellent video, breath taking scenery. Thank you for having me along. Take care.
Anther fabulous drive through such scenic country side....
Love the story about the road , great views again ,
Beautiful scenery .🌲👍
Love Scotland no matter the weather there’s a fabulous view around every bend 😀👍🏻
Or different weather! 😊

I remember going on the Ballachulish Ferry as a youngster., it was fun with its quirky turntable deck. We used to tour staying at B&Bs in those days.
I took that ferry to Skye. Beautiful scenery, great memories, love Scotland
Excellent video and the music track heaven forbid was great.
I liked it too, thanks.
Music is always good 👍
Fantastic video x

Sounds like a great weekend, back to the washing machine and lawn, like us!
I remember the Ballaculish ferry. It was a highlight of trips to Scotland in my parents’ Dormobile when I was a kid

Good luck, I don't think it's going to get that bad, unless the government introduces rationing.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Fingers crossed ; )

Oi! Less of the extremely old! 😬😀 Yes, we've never been to Northern Ireland and would love to go!
Oh and the Shetlands and The Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight
How is it for fuel up there Bob? No fuel to be had down here in Dumfries
I got fuel yesterday in Moffat.

I got used to it, you just have to take it slowly.
