BEE GEES! They were the masters of harmony and melody. No band compares. Great video.

Your addition of ghost notes really adds to the groove. I'm an old guy that still loves those old disco beats, especially after learning to play bass.

Most people don't realize that, but is the bass that do most of the stuff in music.
    Thanks, Julia!

Indeed, indeed and the late Maurice was so much underrated. He was part of the sound or even kind of the mastermind of the Bee Gees sound, not standing in the spotlight, technically.

Julia, you are responsible for me switching from guitar to bass. I had the fantasy of trying it, but a phrase you said when you were telling how you chose the bass gave me a lot to think about and it was that "you wanted a fun instrument that you could dance to" and I, who don't have that talent, have been able to verify it.
Bass opened the doors to so much music that I loved but couldn't enjoy playing. Like the Bee Gees. Thank you for what you do for music!!!

These kinds of bass lines are such a great example of how the bass sits as both a melodic component AND a rhythmic component (essentially bridging the gap between percussion and guitars/keyboards/vocals/etc). I love this instrument.
