Sohail Sir , It's always a pleasure listening to you talk about the times gone by. Love your style of narration and the knack to make the listener think logically, instead of just believing hearsay.
Sohail Hashmi sir, I am a Delhi resident and very obsessed about knowing past of Shahjahanbad. I live in the US and is it possible to call you. Next time when I am in India, I would like to walk through and galis/lanes of old Delhi. Incidentally, I too have ready many books on old Delhi and for my exploration I have walked down the lanes of old Delhi. It was real pleasure to know our past.
Sir, we love your information and the way you communicate. The more we hear the more we get excited to learn something new. Thanks for sharing all the knowledge you have through your experiences. Feels privileged to be around you..
Sir the presentation of such a very attractive and famous tourist place is so attractive. And the historian describing the history on a very very authentic way.
Sir,I am fortunate to view your few videos today for the first time.your knowledge about Delhi and dehlites is wondering covering many aspects like social, political, religious and day to day life of people of Delhi, traders and rulers.simply wonderful!
@@abeninan4017 I saw there walk first time and few videos only.He is telling about buildings only not about history. In my opinion he will not visit gurdwaras as they are mostly newly renovated and due to there conflicts with mughals may be reason.Once Sikh captured Delhi and treaty was signed with mughals to renovate gurdwaras of Delhi and 37.5 percent share in revenue from boab (area between Yamuna and ganga
Hagia Sophia was a church once and it has no minarets. In the year 1453 when Mehmet conquered Constantinople he build minarets in Hagia Sophia. There are many old portraits of it in which there is no minarets.
Hmare shahar me bhi Jama masjid ki same copy masjid ban rhi h. Pichle 17 saal se. Still uncomplete... Named Hashmi Masjid Sujangarh Distt Churu Rajasthan
For his kind information badshahi mosque is not the replica of this mosque Same rulers built both misque probably with same architect.Badshahi mosque lahore is the updated mosque after jamia masjid delhi.
Sir Sohail sb the reason u present for the holy places built on heights is not true so for as the Muslims r concerned because mulims believe Allah is everywhere. The reason is that the sacred things r usually placed at relatively higher places.Mosques were built at higher places simply for their sacredness and to add grandness in the structure. It is so simple.
Some people also claim that there are idols under the Taj mahal. Why don't you guys dig into and tear apart the taj mahal to find your supposedly dumb blind and deaf idols??? Of course you won't do that, because that would annihilate India's tourism sector. Admit it, people like you have an inferiority complex because it the mughals who brought ingenuity, progress and development to india. It is the mughals who put india onto the world map and made it one of the largest economy in the world back then. Shashi tharoor keep saying how much the brits have looted out of the massive gdp of india. But who gave india such a massive economy in the first place???? Some half naked mystic baba in the jungle??? NO IT'S THE MUGHALS.
Pure Rajputana architecture, no accounts of in Mughal records of the date of construction, cost , nothing absolutely nothing sir... something is fishy in the history the way we are taught today...
There are precious idols of Hindu deities buried under the steps of Jama Masjid. It would be a beautiful gesture if Muslims exhume and return these with respect.
@Simple Minded someone asked a sincere question and I gave a solid reference. I’m not interested in your urban legend, you seem to be coming from a place of bad faith. Thirumala has been referenced as a hallowed Vaishnava shrine in at least 8 Puranas that I know of.
@Simple Minded as for there being deities placed under steps deliberately to be trodden upon to humiliate Hindus, there solid references in contemporary official records of Aurangzeb’s period and in such credible Persian text sources as Maasir-i-Alamgiri. All in public domain and vetted as accurate by leading historians. I thought I had responded to the person who asked this, but it seems to have been deleted.
@Simple Minded the rest of your drivel is just dripping with hate, whataboutery and red herrings/ classic diversion tactics so I won’t bother wasting my time..

Loved it
Wonderful
Good structure but they should keep the place clean
How come Hagia Sophia in Constantinople (Istanbul) has minarets as well? The odd part is it was built in 537 AD, before the arrival of Islam.
Because minarets were copied from the byzantine empire... see the st. Antony's cathedral in padua italy which is constructed in this way.
Hagia Sophia was a church once and it has no minarets. In the year 1453 when Mehmet conquered Constantinople he build minarets in Hagia Sophia. There are many old portraits of it in which there is no minarets.
Adorable.
