It is really extrange, because in my country Argentina, Fallon carried by the U.F.O was part in Dynasty at the same time Alexis fell into the river and Matthew came back ... The Colby saddly was on the air only one season ... when Fallon was found on the road with her boots without any scrath or worn despite walking all night, this was all part of Dynasty ...
Like the editing on the cliffhanger when Alexis goes off the bridge. Looking at it now, it would've been a better final moment than Matthew reappearing OUT OF NOWHERE and telling Krystal "I've come back for you".
i just don't get it, so alexis just gets pissed at dex for no reason, tosses wine in his face, then she storms off in someone else's car she steals? hmmm?
mrmagassi No, she was fired because she got pregnant. There were lots of scenes before the fire that were never aired. She almost refused to film the scenes, btw.
Yes. I remember that. And more: after an end like those we see here, I remember that the broadcaster stopped the series and went on with Falcon crest. And when that series came to a cliffhanger, they stopped that one and continued with Dynasty again!
Claudia was a really good person, with her little sister and her husband Matthew desapeared in the firs season, she became insane, married and divorced of Jeff, Steven and Adam . . . several problems, but she fixed too. . . but her end was terrible
I akways felt sad after the 9th season cliffhangers : Fallon & Kristina trapped , Alexis & Dex pushed over the balcony & Blake got shot. If only the reunion had been better .
They really really need to do a REAL Dynasty re boot. I know that John Forsythe, God rest his soul, has left us, but I would still watch with Linda and Joan and all the whole cast returning.
They already have on the CW but it's more like Seinfeld than it is Dynasty. I wish Peacock would've revived Dynasty instead at least they treat their shows seriously unlike the CW!
Dynasty Should've Been A CONTINUATION Of The Real Dynasty, Like Dallas 2012 Picked Up Where The ORIGINAL Series Left Off,With The Next Generation Taking Over. With Joan Collins And Linda Evans Reprising Their Roles And Emma Samms,John James,Jack Coleman And Gordon Thompson And Their Grown Children Vying For Control Of The Carrington/Colby Empire!!!
I wish Paramount + would carry the classic 80's version of Dynasty - after all, they carry all of the the original 90's Melrose Place and both series have the same owner.
What they should have done - but now can't since John Forsythe has passed on - is done what they were talking about for a time: a prequel showing the Carringtons and Colbys' lives prior to season one.
Because they wanted to kill off her character ... translation, she wasn't coming back! Although she looked hotter in season 6 than 1 but that's because of her tan!
The UFO story was all in Fallon's mind. Search the net for people who say that they've seen aliens. There are hundreds of them. Why couldn't that happen to a soap opera character? At first, I hated it too, because I thought they were mixing two kinds of shows together and we would see more aliens in the next season. But when it was explained as Fallon's imagination, I could live with it.
It was okay until they came up with those stupid story lines like Crystal's evil twin and Fallon being taken by aliens! That's when the whole show went on a train ride straight to hell!
@@bkynbiker19 Agreed, the writing started to sag in season 4. You see it in how Fallon is written. In the first two seasons, she's the driving force for much of the conflict - things happen BECAUSE of her. By the middle of season 4, she's morphed into full tragedy queen - things happen TO her.
On the finale, there was a mystery woman in a black limo. The window rolled down and all she said to someone standing outside was that Alexis and Blake are her prime target. But never showed her face. Anyone remember that part? I was assuming it was Caresa.
Wasn't Alexis showing up at Blake's trial for killing his gay sons' lover the first cliffhanger? And what happened to Steven being blown up on the oil rig and coming back Jack Coleman?
5:42, The worst ending in Soap Opera History! if ABC was going to cancel it, they should've brought it back in September 1989 as a real final episode which would've explained everything, The 1991 TV Movie of two parts was nothing.
The Reunion was SUPPOSED to tie it all up but had little of nothing to do with the series finale at all. It became this James Bond wannabe thing with no Sable (who was a major season 9 player with alost all story lines she was involved in) a new Adam who looked or sounded nothing like the original actor, and just no substance. They also never explained why the mansion looked different
The thing that bothered me about the reunion was that it seemed to forget most of the series existed. Steven was back to thinking Blake hated him being gay, when Blake had come to terms with that after Luke died. Fallon and Jeff were suddenly married again and about to divorce, when they divorced in Season 8. And while I can't really blame them, the whole Colby family tree was a huge mess, with Miles suddenly Jason's son again.
@sussexking To be precise, she asked for more money after she'd missed most of the previous season because of her pregnancy. She really didn't have any bargaining position--and it's unfortunate that things turned out the way they did, because she was one of the better actresses on the show. With Oxenberg, the knock on her was that she couldn't carry the action when she had to--she wasn't a strong enough actress to hold her own with the rest of the cast.
When Alexis and Dex went over the balcony at the Carlton I remember I screamed, fainted and needed smelling salts to be revived. God I miss Dynasty.
A beautiful 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass!
Michael Nadar was a lucky bastard. He got Joan Collins and Susan Lucci. Two older women who know how to work it.
But I always remember him as the one and only DEX DEXTER.
Sadly, he passed away. No one could have played Dex better than he could.
They must be use to chauffeurs because no Carrington seems to know how to drive.
RIP John Forythe, Christopher Cazenove, Michael Nadar and Bo Hopkins.
Alexis and Dex BOTH fell off the balcony! I had forgotten that....WOW!
In case anyone was wondering about this for the past 15 years, it's the Blake candle that starts the La Mirage fire...
the "blake candle", honey? i would assume those are all claudia's candles, it was claudia's candles that started the fire

Damn that cheap & nasty highly flammable nylon curtains and carpet in Claudia's hotel room!

2:54 at least Alexis buckles up. Safety first!
ha ha! I noticed that too!🤣
I don't know why Claudia didn't just run for the door when the fire started. It's not like she was really trapped.
She was out of order.
I know. Just standing there crying at the curtains.

At least she put on her seatbelt!
and even worse, her dress clashed with the Chevelle!!
Probably it was her first time driving a car.. She should have practiced driving more.
I love Alexis and I even love most of her over the top maximalist 80s outfits except for that hideous bridesmaid-looking pink dress she wore at 2:20.
When my older bro got married, our bridesmaid dresses were very much like Alexis' dress. Hated it.
The final finale begs the question why wasn’t Adam charged with murder and attempted murder or agg assault.
Did anybody cry out Adam, what have you done?
Nader starts to flinch before the drink hits his face at 2:37.
Isn't that the way it's supposed to happen? One's reflexes would react before impact, but not in enough time to get completely out the way.
Bellwood wanted to leave the show... so she had to stay in the room and perish ;)
