I don't really like dream. Cause, Dream lived a wonderful life Like no one hated Dream. But everybody hated Nightmare (Except Dream). Y'know Nightmare is the quiet type and the big brother. So.. Nightmare wont tell Dream how he gets hurt everyday. He doesn't want Dream to be sad and always be with him. He wants Dream to make friends. So that's why Nightmare ate the apple. Plus, Dream didn't even notice that Nightmare is hurting sooner. Like bro? Who doesn't notice their brother hurting from the very start. And then he wants to feel the same pain like Nightmare. He ate the apple but he still doesn't feel the same way Nightmare did like, Dream doesn't get bullied? And now Nightmare turned into passive but Dream turned shattered. And yet, that's my opinion
I respect your opinion but Dream became serious after nightmare are the apple but he still showed faked smile until he had enough(sorry I can't explain more about my AU)

That's kind of the thing. Dream never asked to live a 'perfect' life,no one does. He probably didn't notice Nightmare hurting because Nightmare was good at hiding the fact he was hurting. If anything,Dream would be even more upset if Nightmare didn't tell him he was being bullied. Reason being is because he would have feel like Nightmare didn't trust him. Dream probably ate the apple to understand how Nightmare felt,which does show he cares and wants to be there for him. You don't have to go through the same pain as someone to understand them. You can understand them by seeing it through their eyes and doing something they did,which is what Dream did. He ate the apple to understand why he ate. To end the bullying. But hey,it's your opinion. I just think you shouldn't fully dislike Dream from that kinda view when you also gotta think about how Dream point of view,maybe then,it'll be more understandable to you.
