Back when MTV actually played good music and didn't have all those crappy reality shows which got old super fast. My uncle was lucky enough to go to a Family Values 1998 or 2001 show. I use to have the CD of FM 98 and the VHS concert. Man those were the days. 90's was a great decade for music and fashion!
@@lickredup FV99 was awesome, too. I got to see Buckethead play with Primus that night, and I met Redman and Method Man after the show. And Limp Bizkit was a juggernaut back then. They were fun to watch. I was surprised how good Filter was, too. And The Crystal Method was the shit back then, especially when it came to their light show.
@@martyhurst134 I'm there looking and sounding like a toolbox at 0:09 9:00 and 13:49 ....nostalgic.... with the crew Devon, Robbie, Angel, Amanda & Orel. Crazy. I was stoked to find this!!! I had it on VHS forever, but lost it. :(
I spent many weekends glued in front of my television watching Who?ThenNow and many other rock/metal VHS tapes over and over and over again around that time while my friends were out doing things.
I got to see this tour live in Tucson, AZ in February of 1999. It was just a couple days after the show they are playing in this video. It was nuts!! I almost got squished to death when Korn finally started to play though. Too many people were pushing forward and the crowd was like a big, strong wave. You couldn't fight against it, and you had to just go with it. But I fell down during the pushing, and had about 8-10 people on top of me. Luckily, my friend saw me fall, and knew I was down there, so she had the guys we were with find me, and pull me out. And I had passed out during this, and woke up on top of the crowd. I was crowd surfing to the front, and I woke up right as I was going over the barricade, right in front of Jon Davis. It was insanity!!!
I blame the stupid people who are supporting it. Artists should have the freedoms to create whatever type of music they want though, but it sucks when the trash music is so successful it speaks a lot about the youth of today for supporting it. (seems to be mostly rich suburban white kids lol)
I saw korn on the family values tour in 1998 at Los Angeles when I was 18. And I saw rob zombie zombie in 1999 when I was 19. I saw both concerts with my friends Joseph and Alex.
I still can see the scar on my hand I got from this tour 🤘😠🤘. Also still got the ticket stub with Kris Kohl's autograph. I didn't know who he was really, just thought he was some nice guy I was talking to for a few minutes. Aww, memories. 😢❤
Everyone is trying to catch the entire show on there phone while missing the show so they can share it on face book and no one wants to mosh and ruin there phones it's a time we should be proud to be from
Korn could have stopped releasing albums back in 2004 and they would still be around. They solidified themselves as rock Gods after their 6th album, in my opinion (and many others)
I taped some of these news reports on VHS back in the day. I can't believe it's been 20 years. Also, Family Values came to Massachusetts (where I'm from) on my 10th birthday
This concert i made from my USMC duty station n 29 Palms, CA which i left on Friday night(2-26-99) & drove all night stopping n Gallup NM & early morning to Albuquerque. Getting pulled over just outside of Flagstaff, AZ by Arizona DPS( he let me go cuz of showing him my concert tickets to Korn & Rob Zombie). BEST FUCKING CONCERT I WENT TO IN MY EARLY 20's.
I remember seeing this show in Birmingham Al, you could tell Korn was really tired by that point of the tour. They barely moved on stage. Fieldy even set down on his monitor for a hold song. I never forgot that because I’d always pictured them going crazy. But they’re human.
I remember this when I was 14 the day of the show in st.Louis on the way to the show we found out the drummer f-d his hand up . . ... Now hes not even in the band
I was there when Rob Zombie punched Jonathan Davis in the groin backstage. I was just about to meet them too. it was over an adult film actress who was there wearing a gigantic fuzzy white dr seuss hat. she looked like crap in the face, i didnt get the fuss. he slugged him right in the jimmy, it was shocking to say the least
For real? How did you see that happen? Did you work for the band or the venue? I have never heard this story before, but I do know KoRn and Rob Zombie are all really good friends and they tour together quite a lot!
@@GeorgeZimmermen That happened too. J.D went on MTV news and confirmed it happened. 👍not sure if that video is still online though It was on YT at one point.
last I heard he was Reggie's bass tech, I don't think he is with the band anymore though or maybe he went back to being their personal assistant and doesn't make camera appearances anymore.
Crazy Metallica is still the biggest band out today in 2018. They made more money then any other touring act in the world last year. More then big acts like Rihanna and Beyoncé. I like Korn more but Metallica has longevity. Plus, the tour none stop.
LounastyGaming Of course they don’t now, the world has changed since I posted that. But yes a few years ago they made the most money of that year then any other music group. Because they would stay on the road playing shows. They Only took a few weeks off that year.
Idk know if that necessarily true. But I know I don’t care for their live act and Korn straight up took and owned their “one”song in front of them at mtv icon like some cuck husband watching how wife get played better

If you think about it, I'll bet a lot of those same girls were in the crowd at these shows, and then they ended up being pregnant on tv.
