Brody's stare over the glasses is STRONG
I thought Brody just liked hats. I didn't realize he was hidin' his shinin'.
Brody looking like Terry Bradshaw on the pregame show.
Please don't insult Brody like that lol
@@ChasinStuds no insult at all, Terry is an American treasure.
I was going to suggest Steve R. Covey or Tony Savalas 😂
Terry brodshaw 😂
Please continue this trend. Both Brody and Randall brought unique character to the show as hosts. Always enjoyable.
Chester answering "cricket" had me dead
Great episode, I loved everyone being smacked down and Uncle Chesty going into overtime!! Good fun
Steve always asking “you follow?” keeps throwing me back to actor Robert Shaw as Doyle Lonnegan in The Sting. 🎯😂👍🏼
I was excited to see Scott Van Pelt guest hosting..this makes more sense haha
Brody looks like the college professor that everyone thinks they will hate but love him after they take his class
Listened to this while driving a semi truck. I had to watch it again though, because i knew i was missing tense and exaggerated facial expressions. I was not disappointed. I also believe that Brody had a great idea in wearing a suit, because it also drives me to watch video after listening to audio only. If Brody hosted in the manner he did in a ploy to boost youtube views, all i can say is that he got me and i love it.
Woodcock are also the lowest elevation migrant. Usually just 50-100 feet above the terrain.
Brody would make a formidable high school principal in that suit
First time actually watching an episode, and let me tell you, putting the names with faces was not what I was expecting
First time seeing Brody. The glass is shattered. Not in a negative way. Just funny how you can paint a picture through a voice over 4+ years and the person is not anywhere close to how you think they look lol. Good episode. Rock on Brody.
Brody is a hoot his sense as a host is if he says it it's the gospel and there will be NO DEBATE ! 😂
I’m still at zero after 7 questions…but this is the most entertaining MET ever (!!!)
48:21 Make that 3 people I’m the exact same way. 😂😂😂😂
That's a good-looking tie!
WOODCOCK question 14/10. C'mon!
Never let this man host again if he’s picking the questions.
This was a painful episode but made fun by Steve's struggles
Brody looks like a Lawyer
Brody is so cool love that guy
Brody needs that hat back
Snapping turtle is totally the right answer, he was robbed!! He said "whitetail" specificity. Snapping turtle is that specificity.
Deer-turtle
White tail - snapping turtle
Cous deer - alligator snapping turtle
Yeah his wording of the questions was pretty bad. I said Fox for the cannid question. Then he talks about how the answer is red fox. Then mentions arctic fox. 🤷♂️
Except a coues is a subspecies of white-tailed deer, while alligator snapping turtles are a different species from common snapping turtle.
Holy crap. I’ve listened to every episode over the years but this was my first time actually watching one. The voices do NOT match the faces 😂😂😂.
Was a tough round but I beat the room.
It's interesting that the first 2 comments are these questions asked by bot accounts. Both accounts have a "name" followed by a number/letter. Wonder what the game is?
These look like "engagement" bots to make a channel more active. Notice they both ask random questions. YT is facing some real competition lately
it's been like this for a while. I imagine the provocative profile pics get people to click their profile, and there they probably have some sort of scam link in their bio.
Wait woah what's wrong with Mingus????? Noo pup get well soooon
Red foxes are not native to much of the areas they now occupy. Grey wolves are the most middle distributed in native land
Egg patterns🧐
AY I'm a Maynard hahahahah but not a Mainer
i didnt realize how bald brody is
What in the sam hell Brody
whitetail deer:deer::snapping turtle:turtle
Cricket …….
This episode was a dumpster fire of poorly written questions. And worse than that poorly researched and sourced questions. You can't write a question and have the wrong answer to question as you wrote it
This was 0 fun to watch
the question doesnt say WILD Carnivore so the answer would be DOG
He said wildlife category, so to me that excludes domestic animals.
Answer is ABSOLUTELY dog. There's are dogs on every continent and most inhabited islands.
Dogs are carnivores, and just because they "can' eat other things, doesn't mean they're not.
Worst host ever
One of the best trivia episodes in a while. Had me laughing throughout the whole thing
Funny but did not run smoothly
Brody looks like the Sub I had in high school who took his job seriously but also didn’t wanna be there
One of my favorite episodes of Trivia. Brody, you crushed it and Steve.
This was a great episode! Something different is nice sometimes, way to go Brody!!
That was was a tough one, but good. My favorite bit., when Brody said to Steve " you should have known that" referring to the river tongue!! and his reaction, great bit on humility.
No hat as well as the glasses and suit is throwing me off with Brody 😂
Did Brody say that there aren't many dogs above the Arctic circle. You know the place where the people historically travelled and transported goods via teams of dogs. There's probably more dogs per capita above the Arctic circle than anywhere else on Earth
I've heard everyone's voice for years and years and for some reason never knew what Brody looked like until now. I was not expecting what I saw. Idk what I was expecting but the bald head made me laugh a little.
i was wondering why a mortician was on my youtube feed
Holy Shit Brody is bald?!
Why are Jani and Steve pulling away from each other? Weird episode. Yet I'm grateful every Wednesday. Spencer's work is highlighted here. Brody good job. Or job done.
Brody is a stud at playing trivia. However, he is horrible at formulating questions.
I think we have learned through all the guest hosts, that Spencer is indeed the man for the job. No offense to the kings of trivia, but it seems the timing and rhythm for hosting comes more naturally to spencer.
This episode was painful. Brody is a better player than a host, same with all the guys honestly. Randal was the best guest host.
Is that Lex Luthor??
Seriously I love Brody he’s one of the best personalities on the podcast. Is he always bald though? It feels new but maybe he wears a hat or something. Something’s off
I waited all week for that bs episode? Wow
We want Spencer back.
Tough is a native American word
First time ever "0 for..." Thanks Brody!
I win the lowest scoring game in history!
Conjured images of a Lex Luthor or Dr. Evil sitting at the head of the table, ready to push the button on the players that got the questions wrong! 😆
Fun episode but terrible questions.
Waaaay better at answering than asking. Ha!
Can we get a dog cricket shirt?
A cricket with big canine teeth eating a rabbit or something haha. Id buy a shirt
Togue might be a good name for a dog.
Brody Van Pelt
Give us some southern questions and I would dominate. I’m from NC, I don’t know what people in Maine are calling fish. I thought we just called them by their name
Chester is pickin up some bad habits from Steve. And Steve, yer thinking of Staple Road and White Lake Drive.
Holy crap you guys read my IFAQ 🤣 That shit made my day. Cheers guys -Ryan from Michigan
The alligator snapping turtle is not yet considered a threatened species by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. It is only federally proposed at the moment.
“Cricket” If anyone at MeatEater considers themselves to be a friend of Chester’s, they won’t let him play trivia anymore.
I thought Brody looked liked he was about to hold the world hostage for One Mmmmmmmmillion Dollars
Brody looks like professor x if professor x became a politician
All this episode did was make me realize how pedantic both Steve and Brody are, but I still like Steve after
I listen to the podcast on 1.25 speed, the difference is crazy 😂😂
Next T shirt, a big empty hook and then Nothing But Crickets underneath
Brody questions be like “this animal was hunted before now and now, what is it?”
I know a guy that has to get full naked to poop ... It's real. Real weird😂
At some point y'all should have the "Stats Guy" on the show. Or at least learn his name, lol.
Brody looks what I imagine the banker on deal or no deal looks like behind the glass
Brody looks like a southern Baptist preacher.
Sounds like they wrote the script for the host and then had a program read out the audio.
never knew Brody was bald this whole time
No need for ticktok please 🙏
I also guessed 1945.
Several problems with the canid species question:
1. The scientific order of carnivora is sometimes mistakenly called "carnivores", including many different mammals that "primarily derive nutrition from meat", such as canids. The word carnivore does not technically refer to this, but if this is what you meant, then foxes and domestic dogs would both fall into this, and there are roughly 470 million domestic dogs on the planet vs. less than 40 million of all fox species combined, of which about 10 million are red foxes. The adjective/noun form of the carnivora order is carnivoran.
2. Traditionally, the word carnivore refers to species that get their nutrition from consumption of animal tissue in some way. Most carnivoran species are carnivores, including some canid species, such as wolves, but foxes and domestic dogs are not. They are omnivores.
No matter how you approach this question, the answer can't be fox/red fox. The most common carnivoran species is the domestic dog, the most common carnivore species is most likely the harp seal.
- Large Animal Veterinarian
If the question was the most common, I would agree with you, but the question asked for the most widely distributed.
Good catch, but that would only mean example animals probably don't apply. I don't know how you would quantify distribution, but even in that context, the definitions of the words apply. A fox or dog can't be the most widely distributed carnivores, because they are not carnivores.
It seems definitions can be pretty muddy with carnivores vs omnivores, different sources define terms differently. While the red fox isn’t an obligate carnivore, some agencies would still classify them as carnivores under the pretense that the bulk of their diet comes from meat protein.
On another note, the category for the question was wildlife which would disqualify the domestic dog right from the start.
I actually won with three correct answers and 1979 in the tie breaker. BTW, Steve's board said "Aronak" or "Aronek" which is clearly not correct.
Woodcock are epic for hunting been doing it for 35 yrs. They fly high when leaves are on and low when leaves are off. Then they are gone south
Come on guys! No Game on Suckers hat? With people getting the logo tattooed on their body? I want one.
Chester should totally get the point for snapping turtle. The dog is definitely a carnivore and are more widely distributed. If you're going to say that dogs are omnivores, foxes are also omnivores. It's nice that the boys at Meateater have learned what their strengths are... for example, Brody is not a good host, Brody you suck lol. You think Spencer just does an OK job and then you see everyone else suck at it and realize oh that is actually a good job.
Brodie and Steve knowing nothing about raw feeding doesn’t surprise me 😂
The category for the question was wildlife. Though there are feral dogs, domestic dogs wouldn’t be considered wildlife
@ 54:15 - Steve, I travel thru here a lot and I think you're referring too Staple & Lakewood Rd.
My man Brody looks like he’s heading to a traffic ticket hearing in that suit.
Correction!!! I got Lake Trout right! Still in the game
Who has never tasted their own earwax? They gotta try more stuff. haha 33:44
Brody's giving off a strong Dan Hurley vibe
Yanni and Brody sound exactly the same
Nice strong finish though, Brody :)
Brody looks like an evil scientist
Who let Matt Lucas host meateater trivia?
brody looks like boss baby
