Hi, I have ATEM mini pro with two cameras. I'm trying to find out how to project in the church without them seeing my full display setup. I only want them to see the program like you showed. I'm hooked up to 16 channel mixer. I have one computer and one monitor. I already have an audio extractor. We are not live yet. Just recording services at this point.
Hey. So…when using the atem mini pro, you could switch the hdmi out in the atem software control from multi-view to program. The negative is you can’t have it both ways where you have your multiview AND a program out. That’s one of the few negatives that I see with that particular atem…but to me it is a big negative. So…if you’re willing to give up your multiview, you would open up the atem software control on your computer and at the very top left corner, you will have a few words (in black) in the menu bar. I believe the far right option in that corner is (aux) or Auxilary…select that and you can change the hdmi output. If that’s not the right word, let me know and I will look tomorrow. Then you would just run your hdmi to your projector. Other non popular options is consider adding an atem television studio hd and just use the atem mini pro for livestreaming or you can upgrade to the atem mini extreme. (The atem mini extreme has 2 outputs so that’s one of the upgrades they made.)I know that’s not ideal…but it’s an option. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions or need clarification, let me know. Thanks.
Well at church we have singers, the band etc. but now I need your assistance in what I will need when I want to record good quality of them singing and the band at the same time. They sing in front and I am at the back in the sound engineering console so what is it that I need to produce quality audio and videos. Hey. Thanks for checking. So it’s just a box that has all of our light switches. In one way we like the switches but we wished we had that extra desk space.
Please, which software do you use to display scriptures, songs, images, videos on the screen Is it easy worship or any other good software? Thank you very much 🙏
Good job! So, to be clear, the TV monitors in the chapel or sanctuary are connected to the ATEM via SDI cable and they are being viewed in REALTIME, correct?
Thanks. And yes real-time. Our projectors are attached via sdi from our ATEM (but with a hdmi converter on the projector side). We have it plugged into auxiliary output which means we can always go into the atem software control and in the taskbar, we can switch whatever other feed to our projectors with a click of a button instead of switching cables around. Hopefully that makes sense, but if not let me know and I will make a quick video about it tomorrow. Thanks for reaching out. Have a great Sunday evening.
We have the same general set up at our church. Not live-streaming due to 10mbps internet speeds. We are having to think about two computers and maybe switching to pro presenter (currently using one for all - live and recording and using easy worship). I’m a Mac guy at heart and wanting to go that route maybe more than others in our volunteer group. Do you have a video on you computers set-up? If not, what are the specs on your macs that you are running?
Hey Kyle. I emailed you back earlier about the specs and a few other things. Also, I will try to make a video tomorrow after our Good Friday service of our computer setup. I'll send you the link once I knock it out. Thanks
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH Awesome, thank you very much for getting back with me so quickly! I look forward to it! I’d like to know more about the deck link duo as well.
As a system integrator I experienced a lot of trouble when using SDI cables too close to a wireless mic receiver. Maybe this could be the issue you are experiencing with your Sennheiser wireless mic
Hey. So sorry about the delay. I didn't see a few of the comments... If you're still interested in knowing, let me know if you are talking about all the audio or video or both. Thanks.
Hey bro! Question. I want to run our livestream service into our overflow room. However, I’m not quite sure how to do it. Here is our step up. Mac Mini, ATEM Mini Pro, 2 Canon Vixia G50 cameras. ( this is our live stream set up. ) The other computer is our MacBook Air, which is connected to our project and confidence monitor. So, basically want to run our livestream into our overflow. Also, I saw you mentioned and audio splitter, is this necessary for audio?
Hey. So it kind of depends. If you are using your hdmi out on your atem as just a regular hdmi out, then you can just buy a hdmi splitter for about $40 and add that in. But if you are using your hdmi output as a multiview, that makes things more difficult. That’s one of the drawbacks of the atem mini pro is it’s only 1 hdmi out and you’re not able to easily have both. If you are using the hdmi out as a multiview, you have a few alternatives to consider: 1. Switch from multiview to straight hdmi out. Not ideal but it would work and it’s the least expensive route to give you the whole feed into that room. 2. Skip the whole feed and just get an hdmi splitter and run one of your cameras into the splitter and the other into the overflow room tv directly. That’s a cheap option as well, but you don’t have the benefits of the whole feed going in there. 3. Sell your atem mini pro and get an atem mini extreme. They have 2 hdmi outputs on it so one can be used for hdmi out and the other for multi-view. There are other options within this type…but this would be the most convenient. The last option is not recommended but it is an option. You can use a smart tv or get a Roku and show it from Facebook or UA-cam. It will probably be a lot for your wifi to handle and it will be delayed…but like I said, it’s an option. Here are the links for anything mentioned in case you want to check them out: Atem mini extreme: amzn.to/34SIVDG Hdmi splitter: amzn.to/3JKK7b7 Roku streaming stick: amzn.to/3v4jFF1 As far as the audio…you only need the extractor if you are using external speakers that are not attached to the tv. Here is the audio extractor if you would like to check it out though, here is the link: amzn.to/3H4oFfr Hope this helps. Good luck!
Great! Thank you for the reply. So, if I do decide to use the atem HDMI out. How would I set it up to the splitter and overflow tv? Because the atem mini pro is about 150 ft away, from the overflow tv.
Hey Brandon. We just started back to in house service. We have an Atem Mini Extreme. We have 3 cameras and stream to mounted TV’s and also stream to Facebook Live. We also play a video Intro and Outro. I’ve just learned the basics 2 days ago and operated it all for the first time Sunday. For playing the videos I used a Windows 10 laptop. It was difficult because when playing the video it takes time for the play bar \controls to disappear. Like 6 seconds. If I switch to go live that’s shows on the tv’s. Is there a suggestion as to what software would be better? Or is an iPad better?
Hey. Thanks for the info. The more info you give, the easier it is to figure out issues so good job. Depending on your budget, there’s a few options. The best option is pro presenter by renewed vision. Unfortunately I believe it’s also the most expensive. They do offer a demo version for you to try out, but it will have a logo/watermark on the trial version. Other options is media shout and easy worship. I’ve only worked media shout and it was a very long time ago. But I do remember pro presenter having more features that media shout did. Another option is if you have power point, you could put the video into a power point presentation and run it in “presentation mode”. I believe that would keep the play button off of your screen. But with all that said, if you can afford it, pro presenter is a game changer. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions! 😊 Thanks
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH Thank you for your quick reply. We purchased Easy Worship on Saturday and used it Sunday for scriptures. I was given a quick training on all the hardware and software … just the basics to be up and running for Sunday. Until you mentioned it I had no idea Easy Worship was capable of much more. It looks like it might be my solution. I will test playing my video with Easy Worship. I thank you very much 🙏🏻
Hey. So sorry about the delay. I didn't see a few comments somehow. We use 2 Canon XA11 cameras for our main services and occasionally I record on a panasonic g7 for announcements and a few devotions. As far as the sound booth, I will try to get you the exact dimensions tomorrow...but I believe it like 14' x 5'. Thanks.
Hey! No problem...glad to do it. So ours are from the Hitachi brand. They are not extremely old, but they aren’t very new either. When they give out, my plan is to look at something like the benq lu9235. Regardless, laser projectors are the way to go FYI. If you have any questions, feel free to message back. Thanks! Have a great weekend.
Love your channel, how do you get the wedge monitors to hook up to the soundboard? We have a couple peavey speakers ready to use cause we have been having problems with our in ears
Thanks for the encouragement. So if your peavey speakers are not powered, you will need to have some type of amp to make them work unless your soundboard has a built in amp. If you reply the exact model of your soundboard, I will be able to tell you if you don’t know. Once I know what you got, I will be able to point you in the right direction as fas at how to hook them up. The more information about the speakers, amp(if you have one), and model of sound board, the better. Thanks
quick question, because im always thinking of what would be the best position or place for everything. Can you try and put those two side monitors directly in the cornering facing the drums so that you're further away from them with your mics and so that the sound is clearer because it hits your bodies and spots that dont allow some frequencies to come towards the drums and where the other musicians are standing. let me know if you've already done that and what you experienced or if this helps you get better sound.
Hey. Thanks for your input. So in our situation, I don’t have the monitors turned up very loud because our entire worship team has the opportunity to use wired in-ears. If they don’t want to use them, that’s there call, but I’m not turning the floor monitors up more than they already are. Here’s my thoughts about what you mentioned…the further you have them away from the worship team, the louder you have to have them. And then you have to make sure they are not louder than your house speakers or it will sound pretty rough. Also, I would rather the sound be going towards the team and ceiling (our ceiling is foam insulated) than the plexiglass surrounding the drums. Sound bouncing off of plexiglass is not good either. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it and appreciate you checking out the video! 😊
We actually use 2 canon xa11 cameras in our church, but on a few installs, I have used the g50 and they really like it. We went with the xa11 because it had xlr inputs built in and it worked better with our old setup. But I like the g50. It’s a good option. Here is a link if you’re interested in one. Thanks! amzn.to/3ECOe5Q
bus mix from the X32, into our streaming camera from the snake. Should the mixer connect directly to the streaming laptop? Our camera is direct to streaming laptop via HDMI. we just switched to vMix. We were using OBS
Hey. So I haven’t dealt with vmix directly. But if I understand correctly, this is how I would do it. I would go with the mixer straight in to the laptop via usb. Going through hdmi would be fine as well, but it will be some adjusting as far as volume going into the camera. It’s not a huge deal, but the other way seems simpler to me. Hope that helps and I understand correctly. If not, let me know. Thanks.
no sound comes thru devices (cell phone, tablet). but when I put on my earbuds sound comes thru great! have to try the direct feed u suggested. the camera is at the front of the church. what should I use (cabling ) to connect the mixer to it? its about 50ft from sound booth.
Hi Brandon, I'm digging your channel, you have any interest in coming on a livestream on my Mina Studio channel and talking about your churches set-up? Would love to have you
Hey. You can email me at brandon_anders@hotmail.com and from there we can do a zoom or whatever. Just let me know in the email what a good date/time is and I will try to help you out. I’m in the central time zone. Thanks
Hey. So sorry about the delay. So for us, we run sound out of our x32 via XLR to our atem switcher. Then we run sdi out to our encoder. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH so for best streaming sound quality I DO need a switcher and encoder? Our streaming sound is horrible!! We have the x32 also. Really looking for help to properly do the audio.
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH bus mix from the X32, into our streaming camera from the snake. Should the mixer connect directly to the streaming laptop? Our camera is direct to streaming laptop via HDMI. we just switched to vMix. We were using OBS
Hey. So we currently use a analog snake…but the only reason is because our church had recently remodeled before I arrived so the analog snake was practically new with no issues. Last July though, I installed 2 sd8 stage boxes for another church using an x32. After routing and figuring out what part of their equipment worked, it was fairly easy to get going. We did 2 of the sd8 boxes because they had a fairly wide stage and they wanted to do wired in-ear monitors with the stage boxes exposed on the stage. So instead of having just 1 box with a ton of wires going to one, we tried to make it look a little cleaner and divide it all up. Once our snake goes bad, we will most likely do that route as well. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know and I will try to help. Also, here is a link to the sd8 in case you may be looking to purchase them. Thanks. amzn.to/3vgdjz7
@@rexlumbangaol3874 So I believe it’s 32 in and 10 out, but I made this video earlier that shows you how you can use extra inputs as outputs. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks. ua-cam.com/video/hgdb6gbRYWM/v-deo.html
Hey. I will be glad to help. Can you give me a little bit of info on what you mean. Are you talking about tuning the drums or more like micing or about purchasing specific items to upgrade?
Hey. So these are Hitachi Projectors. I don't remember the specific model number off hand but I believe they are 4,000 lumens. Once these stop working, my plan is to look at getting laser projectors and go 6,000 lumens is budget makes it possible. Thanks for reaching out
Hi brother, I just came across your sharing. Great help from you. Really appreciate it. I would really grateful if you can share with me the idea of how to install the sound system of the main worship hall within 250 members big. ???
So basically we use a di box (to convert it from 1/4 instrument cable to xlr and run it into our audio snake. Our electric runs into his pedal board and then goes out via xlr to the board. My main suggestion is avoid guitarists using their own separate amps on the stage. When they do it in small church settings, it is almost always too loud and the person who runs sound has very little control. Hopefully that helps and makes sense. Thanks
Hey. So we actually don't have the usb attached for the output side but more for sending a cleaner audio of our spotify playlist to the board. But the following video link from Behringer should help you. If not, let me know and I will try to figure it out. Thanks. ua-cam.com/video/iq-eDbawHsU/v-deo.html
What is the distance from your stage to your confidence monitor? What size screen do you use for the confidence monitor? I'm looking to add one to our set up but want to make a good size choice. Thanks
Hey. So we are at about 75ft from the stage to the confidence monitor and use a 50" tv. It is the smallest I would recommend. While everyone on the stage can read it, I can see where it may be difficult if you have too many words on the screen. Unless you are going to have it closer, I would go no lower than 60". Also, here is the link to the tv mount we have in case you want to look into it. Good luck. amzn.to/3965WBf
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH Awesome. Thanks for the info! Ours is about 80 Ft, and we have a 4 ft wide ledge in front of the balcony we are going to set it up on. I was thinking of going 65" but the price jumps significantly once you go over 60"!
Praise the lord , I really wanted to have this kind of set up . But I have no idea where and how to start for my church . Is there anyway I can contact you and get the advice what to purchase and how to set it up. God bless .
Brandon, If you have a moment I would love to ask some questions about your seek up and some of your equipment. Let me know how I might contact you? Thanks Kevin
Hey. So in this video, we use atem studio hd in our main building...so it has multiple outputs. But...if I was using the mini, you would get an hdmi splitter and plug it into the back of your atem mini (on hdmi out) and then send whichever cables (hdmi or switch to sdi for long runs) to your tv and one output to your normal feed like normal if that makes sense.
Hey so we use hitachi projectors currently. Even though they are good quality, they are pretty old so I wouldn’t recommend getting these particular ones. When it’s time, I would like to get laser projectors and most likely 6000 lumens. Good luck!
Hey Jason. So there is multiple ways you can do this depending if you are using hdmi or sdi to send out. Hdmi...you would just get a hdmi splitter amzn.to/3ueBkpY and just run that from your computer to the displays using hdmi cables. For long runs, sdi is the way to go. You would come out of the computer hdmi and use a hdmi to sdi adapter...then when you get to the projector or tv, you use a sdi to hdmi adapter to switch it back...unless your projector has a sdi input. Sdi is more expensive...but it’s very reliable. There are other ways too but these are the most common. Let me know if you need more help or have any other questions. Thanks
Hey. Sorry about the delay. So I have some JBL Prx speakers that we use in our Youth building. We have two loud speakers and 2 subs. They are way more than enough for our building, but I have also used them on a football stadium multiple times. They are high quality and are quite loud. You honestly probably could get away without the subs, but they sound really really good. I am attaching a link for both of the types that I have. If they are out of your price range, I would look into the ALTO speakers. I have some of those as well. They are good too....but not in the same ballpark as the JBL Prx's though. Good luck! 15" Loudspeakers: amzn.to/3mGXltR 15" subs: amzn.to/2GjJ6vz
Hey. So...it kind of depends on what the situation is. If they are just using a camera mic or a cheaper quality mic, generally they do not have the best output. If they are using a lapel mic that is not omnidirectional, make sure check to make sure the mic isn't turned in the wrong direction. Those are a few examples. If you would like some help, send me a little more info about the setting and what type mic you are using and I will see if I can help. Thanks.
Ben D As long as it’s on, no problems. But once the mic is off, lots of static and white noise. I’ve adjusted a the frequency and tried a few other things, but nothing works. I also have some friends that have had the same issue at their church. We just leave the channel muted until we turn it on right before service and then mute it back at the end. So we make it...just not what you expect from a mic that cost that much. Haha
Hey Abe. Thanks for the response. We actually have almost everyone already transitioned to in-ears, but it’s a process. It was also delayed a little just because of the original uncertainty of finances when the pandemic began. Thanks again. Have a great week

Thanks.

@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH Makes perfect sense! Thank you, my friend and God bless you in your ministry!
Thanks
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH
Awesome, thank you very much for getting back with me so quickly! I look forward to it! I’d like to know more about the deck link duo as well.
As a system integrator I experienced a lot of trouble when using SDI cables too close to a wireless mic receiver. Maybe this could be the issue you are experiencing with your Sennheiser wireless mic
Thanks for your input. I hadn’t thought of that, but will give it a try.
What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are.
Great video brother.. How much is the budget needed for a sound like this.. Excluding the guitars
( this is our live stream set up. )
The other computer is our MacBook Air, which is connected to our project and confidence monitor.
If you are using the hdmi out as a multiview, you have a few alternatives to consider:
Here are the links for anything mentioned in case you want to check them out:
Atem mini extreme: amzn.to/34SIVDG
Hdmi splitter: amzn.to/3JKK7b7
Roku streaming stick: amzn.to/3v4jFF1
As far as the audio…you only need the extractor if you are using external speakers that are not attached to the tv.
Here is the audio extractor if you would like to check it out though, here is the link: amzn.to/3H4oFfr
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Thanks
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH Thank you for your quick reply. We purchased Easy Worship on Saturday and used it Sunday for scriptures. I was given a quick training on all the hardware and software … just the basics to be up and running for Sunday. Until you mentioned it I had no idea Easy Worship was capable of much more. It looks like it might be my solution. I will test playing my video with Easy Worship. I thank you very much 🙏🏻
How many cameras do you run? I ask because you are using the black magic. What are the dimensions of your sound booth?
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing.
Which projectors are you using ?
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH I know lasers are the ultimate however we’re on a tight budget. Thanks for your help.
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH i APPRECIATE YOU! THANKS!

Still using the Canon G50?
We actually use 2 canon xa11 cameras in our church, but on a few installs, I have used the g50 and they really like it. We went with the xa11 because it had xlr inputs built in and it worked better with our old setup. But I like the g50. It’s a good option. Here is a link if you’re interested in one. bus mix from the X32, into our streaming camera from the snake.
Thanks.
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH YES you understand perfectly!! I will try that. When you say "some adjusting" u mean from the bus feed to the camera?
no sound comes thru devices (cell phone, tablet). but when I put on my earbuds sound comes thru great! have to try the direct feed u suggested. the camera is at the front of the church. what should I use (cabling ) to connect the mixer to it? its about 50ft from sound booth.

How do you run your sound onto the streaming platform? Though the ATEM switcher or another method?

Our camera is direct to streaming laptop via HDMI. we just switched to vMix. We were using OBS
Hey man, I was just wondering what stage box you use, and how everything hooks up from the stage to the x32
Thanks.

Hey. I will be glad to help. Can you give me a little bit of info on what you mean. Are you talking about tuning the drums or more like micing or about purchasing specific items to upgrade?
Hey with your projection screen, what projectors are you using?
Hey. So sorry. I’m just now seeing this. I will work on that in the next video. Thanks!
How do y’all guys Connect guitar to the mixer
So basically we use a di box (to convert it from 1/4 instrument cable to xlr and run it into our audio snake.
Our electric runs into his pedal board and then goes out via xlr to the board.
My main suggestion is avoid guitarists using their own separate amps on the stage. When they do it in small church settings, it is almost always too loud and the person who runs sound has very little control.
Hopefully that helps and makes sense. Thanks
@@ALLTHINGSSMALLCHURCH thanks

Hello My name is Morris Brantley from Bossier City, Louisiana. Are you located in Minden Louisiana?
I was interest in visiting?
Hey Morris. Yes I am in Minden, La. Yep…We can set it up!

I have a atem mini, how would you go about sending the video feed too some TVs like you did?
What model Projectors do you use? How you like them?
Hey so we use hitachi projectors currently. Even though they are good quality, they are pretty old so I wouldn’t recommend getting these particular ones. When it’s time, I would like to get laser projectors and most likely 6000 lumens. Good luck!
what's the name of this church?
How do you get the presentation on multiple screens?
Thanks
Sir I m from india how to choose speaker for your church nearly 600 people gathering in the hall
How can you sound better online and not muffled ?
Thanks.
