It seems amazing! 😀 Can't wait to see it live 🎭🎫 Titus Andronicus is my favourite Shakespeare's playwright
Im doing that monologue for a class, and God was that beautiful
AHH Nothing compares to seeing it live but I cannot wait for the DVD release!
Good god, what a brilliant performance ! I have so much to learn from you...
1:57 look at the little/chamber on the right, he dead
When can I buy the dvd, this is my favourite Shakespearean play
The DVD is available now. I saw the live performance. Totally absorbing but not sure I could sit through it again.
Hmm, this Tamora is a bit too brazen methinks; a woman who is pleading for the life of her son at the hands of his executioner could do with more vulnerability.
Great acting but what's with the costumes? it does not reflect the time the play was set in.
Getting worse they not talk they spit words and scream. Poor Shakespeare.
i’m pretty sure the professional actors at the ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY of all places know how they should be saying the words, not some internet rando
@@meehoymeenoy3482 He's not wrong though, this one was a bit stiff and lacked dialog. Tamora could do with more softness and maternity; this is an appeal to mercy for a mother's favored son, but the lines were spat out as some sort of condemnation, which has the effect of dehumanizing Tamora a bit and perhaps making her too 'villanous' from the start, in a story where she becomes plenty villanous as it is.
It's Tamora's willingness to bare all (especially her tears) to Titus in a vain attempt to obtain this mercy, and his subsequent rejection of it that sets the tone of the entire play, so getting it wrong is a bit unforgivable.
Do not assume that the cast members of a production 'know' how a thing should be done. Sometimes it's as simple as taking too many directorial liberties, as I believe was the case here.
I don't like the set or costumes... Her screaming like that was over the top...
I love the set, I love the costumes, I liked her screaming. Shakespeare meets real and contemporary emotions. None of this muted toned down sophisticated BS
A great play to watch at christmas
