David, the psalmist, starts many of them in utter despair but if you read them until the end he declares the glory of God. It's a beautiful journey from despair to praise. I hope this helps you. Conviction helps you to understand when something is wrong so that way to can learn the right way, but the enemy, satan, tries to cloud your mind and heart with guilt to make you feel like you will never overcome. The first thing you need to do is to find out who God is otherwise you cannot reach him and your prayers will not be heard by Him. To find out who God is, you need to go to the bible. However, there are other requirements for getting to heaven (I will clarify this point later) if you mean that getting to heaven means you have to be saved first. Just because Jehovah God causes the rain to fall on the just and unjust does not mean that God's love for mankind is unconditional. All the unjust will be destroyed during Jehovah God's day of judgement. Even John 3:16 which you quoted require that only those who exercise faith will be saved. I am sure you will understand what it means to call on the name of Jehovah - certainly more than just mentioning his name. Next, look at this scripture at John 4:22, " You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews." Who are the Jews mentioned here? Again I will dispense with elaboration until a later time. Now, look at the parable of the sheep and goats found at Matthew 25 : 31-46. Who are the goats? Basically they did not do good to the brothers of Christ Jesus but the sheep did. Who are Christ's brothers? These are a special group of people who have been specially selected by Jehovah God to fulfill a specific purpose in God's grand purpose for the earth. This parable implies that God's organisation exist and our salvation depends on our being part of God's organisation. Again I will refrain from elaborating until a more convenient time. Matica Burton God says in his word there is no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus. I want to encourage you to know that God promotes conviction not guilt. Conviction helps you to understand when something is wrong so that way to can learn the right way, but the enemy, satan, tries to cloud your mind and heart with guilt to make you feel like you will never overcome. BUT God says that you are more than a conqueror, and he understands what caused you to go in a different direction. (Jesus loves you.) You are worthy, and you can always turn back to the father. The first thing you need to do is to find out who God is otherwise you cannot reach him and your prayers will not be heard by Him. To find out who God is, you need to go to the bible. This is what the bible says about God in the book of Isaiah 45:18 - "For this is what Jehovah says, the Creator of the heavens, the true God. The one who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it. Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited. I am Jehovah and there is no one else." You need to find out more about Jehovah by having a deep study of the bible. Log on to jw.org website and request a bible study and someone will come to your home to study the bible with you. I am sure you are aware that the world of mankind is facing many problems. Jesus Christ foretold that these problems are the evidences we are living in the last days of this wicked world. Soon, Jehovah God will destroy this wicked world of mankind and replace it with a new world. You can read of this thrilling promise in the book of Revelation 21:1-4 which says, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth ......... Look! the tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them. John 3:16 says God so loved the World (and every one in it), that whosoever believes in Him (the Son) will not perish but have everlasting life. The contingency to getting to heaven is not just believing in God but also the Son and what the Son has done.

However, there are other requirements for getting to heaven (I will clarify this point later) if you mean that getting to heaven means you have to be saved first. Just because Jehovah God causes the rain to fall on the just and unjust does not mean that God's love for mankind is unconditional. All the unjust will be destroyed during Jehovah God's day of judgement. Even John 3:16 which you quoted require that only those who exercise faith will be saved. But a question - what does it mean to exercise faith in Jesus Christ's ransom? There has to be some kind of works to demonstrate that faith for James 2:17 says: "............ faith by itself, without works , is dead." At this juncture I will not discuss this further. I will attempt to show you the other requirements for salvation. Look at Romans 10:9 : " For if you publicly declare (preach work - see previous verse 8) with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved." 1 Timothy 4:16 - " Pay constant attention to yourself and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you." How can someone listen to you? - when you are teaching him of course. Now, read Matthew 28 : 19,20 and see Jesus's command to his disciples, " Go therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations (preaching work) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, TEACHING them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things (end of the world)." Next, look at Acts 2:21, " And everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved. I am sure you will understand what it means to call on the name of Jehovah - certainly more than just mentioning his name. Next, look at this scripture at John 4:22, " You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews." Who are the Jews mentioned here? Again I will dispense with elaboration until a later time. Now, look at the parable of the sheep and goats found at Matthew 25 : 31-46. Who are the goats? Basically they did not do good to the brothers of Christ Jesus but the sheep did. Who are Christ's brothers? These are a special group of people who have been specially selected by Jehovah God to fulfill a specific purpose in God's grand purpose for the earth. This parable implies that God's organisation exist and our salvation depends on our being part of God's organisation. Again I will refrain from elaborating until a more convenient time.
