There is a good amount of fighting in this Thomas Tang movie to keep your attention. The wanderer is ""Kang Ho". Big fight is at the Stone Pagoda with 3 fighters, 3 ninjas and one more entry to see. NOTE: Many of the comments point out flaws, mishaps, inferior fighting and other extravagant scenes yet this was still a lot better than other movies that have failed to satisfy the viewer. Give it a fair chance to decide for yourself.

My father rented for me this on a VHS from a video library around early 80s. Watched it a lot. The face of the hero couldn't be forgotten. The jump to the tree and walking on the branches was the most memorable part. Surprisingly the name of the movie in our language was the same name in English, unlike many other Kungfu movies which their name from English was converted to our language with a more meaningful names. Fist of fury was called Bruce Lee the man of fury. Five fingers of steel was called The iron fist, The way of the dragon was called Dragon's roar and so on. I am looking for a Kungfu movie that was called in our country The iron hand. I remember two scenes from that film. There was a lot of Kungfu fights in it, at one part the hero was surrounded by enemies, he jumps and while he is at enough height, he kick all the enemies heads around him very fast. That was an incredible moment. At the end of that film, the bad man fall into a green chemical hazardous composition liquid. I would appreciate if anyone know which movie I'm writing about and let me know its original English name.

Shaw brothers made good movies also
Shaw Brothers are okay, they tend to be more restricted to studio scenes and a narrow styling and narrative. Not to mention they never film on remote scenic locations, it's almost all in studio. The characters are very generic and it is almost a stylized form, if you know what i mean. This is much wilder, creative, imaginative and entertaining.
It sure is hard to kill an old man with a white beard and long white eyebrows. I could not kick my leg out two times without getting winded and the old man jumps backwards up thirty feet after fighting a ton of young fighters for hours. Everybody seems to be wearing the same clothes no matter how many times they got stabbed and bled in them. Wow...amazing!

Far as old school kung fu flicks go...not the best...but worth watching at least once.
gonna disagree on that, she is one of the strongest and best defined female character. The directing on this movie is especially strong and clean. The story holds very well together and i never had enough of her character. Just i wished her assistant lived a little longer. I just loved how unbeatable they were at the beginning.

I started watching this movie and was awestruck how the lady did flying tornado kicks in her first fighting scene like it was nothing. it looked as fluent as Huang Jang Lee made me wonder if maybe he was her actual double. Later they say she uses tornado kick kung fu. Anyway tkd came from kung fu, it's all good.

Not as good as “The Pink Starfish Clan” which had an all-midget cast that used a combination of Kung Shmoo and deadly throwing stars. The midgets fight a rival clan and rule China for 300 years. Based on true historical events, by the way.
