    tbh I thought Madsen's clinch and knees won him 1st round. But in later rounds I was thinking what the hell is this undefeated fighter doing. Really impressed with Clay's performance tonight, especially his combos.

    • @Deeplycloseted435
      @Deeplycloseted435 3 роки тому +7

      Yeah, but remember that “clinch control” doesn’t count for anything. After Sandhagen/TJ fight, I reviewed the scoring criteria, as people kept talking about that belly to back body lock TJ had going for several minutes of the fight. The only place in the scoring criteria that counts for anything considered “control”, has to be on the ground. At least Madsen was landing some knees, while TJ really landed nothing from that clinch. Technically, clinching along the fence is more of just a failed takedown attempt.
      Still pretty surprised by Guida’s performance here. This was a competitive fight.

    Madsen had rounds 1 and 3 and Guida had round 2
    Little more damage done to Guida, and more controling the center of the octagon, and more significant strikes by Madsen, makes it a relatively obvious victory for him I would say.
