That seems to be the answer to my prayers since I like amber based fragrances but I needed a fresh/amber for Spring and Summer :)
This new MFK was a blind buy for me as well and I love it. Candied amber with lots of compliments!

I had no idea MFK had a new one dropping. I hope to smell it soon.
Man, I just wore this today and put on only ONE spray to the back of the neck. It was beast mode. I don’t know if other people could smell me at church, but the scent bubble around me was really strong and persistent. You do not need a lot of sprays with this one.
Ran right on over to Harrods and ordered based solely on the STRENF of your review!! body language completely gave away how much you were feeling this one!

Hi Ayesha, I really appreciate your reviews. You actually give a lot of helpful information and do your best to give it a 360 degree view instead of saying: it is A-MA-ZING, it's GOOOORGEOUS, for like 20 minutes long. I really hate that. Also because when you hear these same people a couple of months down the line, they either are decluttering it or not talking about it anymore. While amber is tricky for me, and the perfumes you compared this to are not loves or even likes, I will give it a sniff of course. MFK is a reputable house as is FK himself. He doesn't make garbage or releases perfumes just for the sake of releasing or to make money. Thanks Ayesha!

I’m not sure. Harrod’s gets a lot of exclusive launches, but a lot of them end up going everywhere after about a year or so. I guess we will have to wait and see!

I think that’s the one people on Fragrantica were comparing it to. I have never smelled that one so I can’t comment on that.

It’s crazy to me that you don’t think coromandel smells dirty. On my skin it smells like a damp cellar. Crazy how different we all smell things
I dont thi k it smells dirty. I just get a pine or turpentine note in the dry down. Makes me sad because i have the full bottle and i shoulf have gotten Le Lion instead

This scent smells like a praline and jelly sandwich to me. It is very pleasant to wear. I was told it was masculine in the air. I have only smelled it on myself.

@simply ayesha in ciel de gum by mfk i get a strong pencil lead/black pepper smell, does this new frag have a strong peppery scent? i noticed pink pepper in the notes
I don’t pick up a strong pepper note. There is a tiny bit of spice, but typically I can pick up black pepper on my skin very easily.

Ooh I'm not a fan of the MFK fragrance house, despite owning two of their fragrances (gentle fluidity gold & oud satin mood extrait) however you've piqued my interest I work in Milton Keynes so will pop into Harrod's and check out the fragrance as they have a dedicated MFK department there.
