Hey my brother Matt, how are you doing bro? I’m really honored that you would share that with me. You know I go through a lot of stuff in my head especially the depression and it’s just a regular thing and I’m constantly trying to do anything I can just to have five minutes of freedom in my mind. And when it comes to the Puget Sound, it’s not necessarily a place that gets much snow anyway correct maybe a couple times per season? When I went to visit my sister in Black diamond in Seattle area about 12 or 13 years ago there was a really big ice storm Along with some snow as well and it left about 5 inches on the ground and apparently it was one of the biggest that they’ve had on record and I was lucky enough to be there just by coincidence I appreciate you being here Matt that’s really cool all the way up in the Puget Sound that’s awesome what a beautiful place. I think I could live there for sure. Anyway, I wish you strength encourage with your mental health. We can do this.

It’s just so disappointing but again I’m happy that we got anything to change the color of the ground for a couple minutes in some areastraffic has been an absolute nightmare throughout the town but thankfully I know my way around so I can avoid it. Out of my good friend first of all, good to hear from you and happy new year I’m telling you man it took till I was 41 years old to meet this lady so there’s still time left even though I’m assuming you’re probably not a whole bunch younger than me but I’m assuming you are younger than me and you know nothing in life is perfect and if you want to have a really good relationship, you have to compromise It really is work man and you know she gets super frustrated with me. You know I’m I’m far from perfect I’m very far from perfect and I make a lot of mistakes but none of the type that would end relationships but I’m just a very impatient person and I get frustrated a lotand because I’m always working sometimes it gets taken out on my wife and it breaks my heart and she gets frustrated also but you know what once again, even though you’re never gonna have a perfect relationship with anybody, it’s all about compromise, and just finding ways to make things work, and finding ways to make each other as happy as possible

Hey Niick and Rachael I'm so excited that it's snowing although I won't be up there to visit my daughter and her family it gives me time to recover from my recent total knee replacement which went very well. I did wear my new shirt from you and a funny story is when I first got to the hospital I was in the waiting room and this Santa Clause looking man said to me that his sister lives in Big Bear. So in recovery the nurse comes over with a piece of paper that had his didgets on it. I'm 70 and that was a first for me. Anyway you're so awesome and every time you post it makes my day. I remember when my mom had both of hers done she had it done from Dr. Schwarzkopf at UCI but my mom didn’t really as far as I’m concerned do everything she was supposed to do when it came to staying off her legs and doing the exercises she was supposed to do so she ended up having problems and he’s a world renowned surgeon for that particular surgery. That’s why she had it done there , but if you don’t do what they tell you to do then it doesn’t matter how great the surgeon is you’re not not gonna recover properly, so it makes me really happy to hear that you’re doing great my friend keep up the good work and don’t forget as much of a pain in the knee as this is just keep it up please. And let me know how the date goes. Lol.
Thanks for your support and I don't think there will be a date. I've been by myself for 30 plus years and I have lots of grandkids to keep me busy. Someday we will talk. I went to rehab when i was 44 so we have probably been through alot of similar shit. Take care my friend 😂

What is up my good buddy I heard that it got pretty heavy in parts of running springs but that’s only what I heard. You’re obviously there so you would know better but I heard it got bad enough to where they had to put chain requirements to get up here from running Springs. But it’s good to hear from you. Just be ready for January 6 and January 7. That could be our next opportunity for actually some significant snow but not significant like I like but compared to what we’ve been getting it’ll be significant to get maybe 6 inches at most.

I worked for her for many years and unfortunately God bless her. She doesn’t have anything anymore and it just breaks my heart and I do the best I can to help my mom, but I’m probably gonna get my real estate license back because you guys know me and I’m always happy to help you guys on this channel and it would give me another opportunity to make a living up here and do something that I enjoy doing so hopefully when you’re ready to buy I have my license and maybe you can give me an opportunity but either way it was an honor to be able to help you. Hey Joe, thanks for the advice dude I’ve heard that about white sugar I believe. I mean it is a nasty chemical even though it taste good doesn’t mean that it’s good for you. I just need to really continue to focus on my health there’s a lot of things I don’t do, but I gotta start somewhere. And I’m in agreements with you. We do need a good cold front with some wraparound moisture to come through but it looks like on January 6 and seventh we could get up to 6 inches if we’re lucky so because they’re forecasting that will probably get less than an inch we shall see.

Hey Dman. It’s funny you say that because I just watched that about two weeks ago ago and I was pointing it out to my wife. It’s the little 7-Eleven and you can see the McDonald’s right there everything it’s pretty cool. Most of the scene is filmed in the parking lot when he’s walking out of 7-Eleven when Matthew Broderick is walking out of 7-Eleven. And there’s a few other scenes that are done in Big Bear as well when they’re walking along the lake I know it’s Big Bear because you can see the observatory right there and I couldn’t believe it So you should check it out there’s probably a good five or six minutes of Big Bear Lake areas in the movie. It’s pretty cool.
@@Dman425 yeah it is a pretty old movie man and funny enough. I hadn’t seen it since probably around that time as well. I was born in 80 and I think that movie came out in the early to mid 90s right or maybe even yeah probably about that time. It was a good movie. I forgot how good it was because I hadn’t seen it since I was much younger but when it was on Hulu or whatever we were watching, I decided to play it because I wanted to see Big Bear in the video somebody told me a long time ago that 7-Eleven and McDonald’s and that street called Eureka and Big Bear Blvd. is in the movie and it just makes me so happy seeing that

I actually walked onto the ski resort again and stayed there watching people fall and have a good time. It was great the last 45 minutes of the video was in the middle of one of the ski runs. Usually it’s the opposite here it’ll start off as rain and then change the snow once the cold front moves through but I’m on the other side of town right now and there’s nothing anywhere no snow on the roof. No snow in any patches of shady areas. Nothing at all, it’s horrible

Mauricio well, thank you for the question my friend so I know yesterday they did have controls for the tire chains from running Springs all the way to Big Bear on Highway 18 but your best bet is to call 800 Caltrans or type in road conditions San Bernardino national Forest and then go to the Caltrans website it’s really easy you just type in the highway name you plan on coming up and it’ll tell you what’s going on I wish I had a better answer for you right now. I can try to look it up in a couple minutes and get back to you but for right now that would be your best. Bet to either call that phone number or check out the Caltrans website as I said, it’s super easy , I’ve been trying to get this video uploaded so give me a few minutes and I’ll try to get back to you my brother OK but if you need it in the next 10 minutes or so, maybe just take my suggestion it’s what I tell everybody to do when I don’t have the most up-to-date information on me at the moment

gg. So you want to try to find a hotel or an Airbnb in between the village and the dam. That’s the snowiest part of the valley. However, there’s another spot deeper in the valley called upper Moonridge. If you could find an Airbnb at the top of upper Moonridge, you get hammered there as well. Let me know if my answer was good enough

We could get our biggest storm of the year which isn’t saying much and that’s just like me your daughter just like me my mom got a house in Lake arrowhead for a vacation home when I was 10 years old until I was 15 years old and that was the first time I saw snow falling from the sky, and I always wanted snow and to be in the snow. As a kid obviously I love Santa Claus and the north pole and my sister lived in Alaska for a while. She’s much older than me. She was going to medical school while I was still a little tiny kid, but she stayed in Alaska on and off for a while, and a lot of my friends where I grew up their families had houses in places like Park city, Utah and Lake Tahoe, and I would always hear these stories of being in the snow, and all the movies I would watchwith snow in the movies, it just was something that even before being in it ever it always made me so happy and finally when I got to be in the snow when it was falling from the sky, it was just a life-changing experience for me

That question is one of my favorite questions to answer If you’re gonna be staying in a hotel or Airbnb, two different locations, anywhere on Highway 18 a.k.a. Big Bear Blvd. between the Big Bear Dam in the village And then in the Moonridge area, middle Moonridge, or upper Moonridge These are the snowiest areas in the valley and that’s where you’re gonna want to find an Airbnb or a hotel If you are looking for an Airbnb right next to Bear Mountain, one of our friends on the channel has an Airbnb, just let me know and I’ll get you his information He’s a great guy a good friend of mine through the channel and I think he would be happy again it’s in a part of town that gets a really good amount of snow

Hey there, Juan happy new year to you my brother. OK so if you’re gonna be coming up Saturday, we do have a good chance of snow on Saturday and you might very well have to put on tire chains dude If you have all-wheel-drive and snow tires, they probably won’t make you put on tire chains and all terrain tires and all season tires are not snow tires so they will hassle you if it’s not snow specific tires and I’m 100% certain you don’t have those So I’m gonna just try to keep you safe dude and I hope I’m wrong but I think you’re gonna have to put on tire chains. This last storm. We got didn’t much snow at all and tire chains were required on Highway 18. I would suggest you get yourself some decent tire chains and just keep them in your trunk always because hopefully you’ll have such a good time you’ll want to come back more often but yeah man I’m gonna be honest it’s a pain in the butt for me. fortunately I’ve never put them on in nine years living here , but I’ve had the right vehicle in the right tires for five out of nine years before I got a good enough car and good tires. I was already up here so they don’t really enforce it as harshly when you’re in town already it’s coming up the mountain where they’re very hard-core about it. Just try to get up here safe and sound. If there’s any chance you can come up on Friday maybe in the evening before the storm that might save you the hassle but honestly just keep checking in with me. You never know when they’re gonna require the chains so I can’t give you a notice . I just wish you a safe journey, man, and again happy new year to you

@@JuanAlvarado-ls7ik so I personally think that town that you’re going to gets the most snow on the whole mountain because of its location on the mountain range and it’s a little bit higher up in elevation than we are here in Big Bear You’ll probably be more likely to have to have tire chains and especially on that road driving up because it’s a uphill drive and then coming down it’s gonna be downhill so I would definitely keep tire chains with you just in case please please do that for me I don’t wanna hear about anything bad happening to you Mr. Alvarado I care about all of you very much Just stay tuned OK to the channel

And when it comes to the Puget Sound, it’s not necessarily a place that gets much snow anyway correct maybe a couple times per season? When I went to visit my sister in Black diamond in Seattle area about 12 or 13 years ago there was a really big ice storm Along with some snow as well and it left about 5 inches on the ground and apparently it was one of the biggest that they’ve had on record and I was lucky enough to be there just by coincidence

It’s just so disappointing but again I’m happy that we got anything to change the color of the ground for a couple minutes in some areastraffic has been an absolute nightmare throughout the town but thankfully I know my way around so I can avoid it. You know I’m I’m far from perfect I’m very far from perfect and I make a lot of mistakes but none of the type that would end relationships but I’m just a very impatient person and I get frustrated a lotand because I’m always working sometimes it gets taken out on my wife and it breaks my heart and she gets frustrated also but you know what once again, even though you’re never gonna have a perfect relationship with anybody, it’s all about compromise, and just finding ways to make things work, and finding ways to make each other as happy as possible

Hey Niick and Rachael I'm so excited that it's snowing although I won't be up there to visit my daughter and her family it gives me time to recover from my recent total knee replacement which went very well. I did wear my new shirt from you and a funny story is when I first got to the hospital I was in the waiting room and this Santa Clause looking man said to me that his sister lives in Big Bear. So in recovery the nurse comes over with a piece of paper that had his didgets on it. I'm 70 and that was a first for me. Anyway you're so awesome and every time you post it makes my day. Hope to see you when I'm up there. Sorry text was so long. Be safe and you are not a dork it's one of the things I love about you. Take care❤

I’m glad your knee replacement went successfully. I remember when my mom had both of hers done she had it done from Dr. Schwarzkopf at UCI but my mom didn’t really as far as I’m concerned do everything she was supposed to do when it came to staying off her legs and doing the exercises she was supposed to do so she ended up having problems and he’s a world renowned surgeon for that particular surgery. That’s why she had it done there , but if you don’t do what they tell you to do then it doesn’t matter how great the surgeon is you’re not not gonna recover properly, so it makes me really happy to hear that you’re doing great my friend keep up the good work and don’t forget as much of a pain in the knee as this is just keep it up please. And let me know how the date goes. Lol.

What is up my good buddy I heard that it got pretty heavy in parts of running springs but that’s only what I heard. You’re obviously there so you would know better but I heard it got bad enough to where they had to put chain requirements to get up here from running Springs.
But it’s good to hear from you. Just be ready for January 6 and January 7. That could be our next opportunity for actually some significant snow but not significant like I like but compared to what we’ve been getting it’ll be significant to get maybe 6 inches at most.

😂 sadly I got non, only got the view of the traffic of the 330 and all of those trying to cut down on time by flying and I mean flying by my house, in which definitely not happy about. Believe u r right but was behind us and also towards Arrowhead. Definitely looking forward to those days of the 6-7th looks promising from what I've been seeing everywhere from 7-12inches so I hope u get more, and I get a decent snow fall.

Hey Joe, thanks for the advice dude I’ve heard that about white sugar I believe. I mean it is a nasty chemical even though it taste good doesn’t mean that it’s good for you. I just need to really continue to focus on my health there’s a lot of things I don’t do, but I gotta start somewhere.
And I’m in agreements with you. We do need a good cold front with some wraparound moisture to come through but it looks like on January 6 and seventh we could get up to 6 inches if we’re lucky so because they’re forecasting that will probably get less than an inch we shall see.

Hey Dman. It’s funny you say that because I just watched that about two weeks ago ago and I was pointing it out to my wife. It’s the little 7-Eleven and you can see the McDonald’s right there everything it’s pretty cool. Most of the scene is filmed in the parking lot when he’s walking out of 7-Eleven when Matthew Broderick is walking out of 7-Eleven.
And there’s a few other scenes that are done in Big Bear as well when they’re walking along the lake I know it’s Big Bear because you can see the observatory right there and I couldn’t believe it
So you should check it out there’s probably a good five or six minutes of Big Bear Lake areas in the movie. It’s pretty cool.

It was a good movie. I forgot how good it was because I hadn’t seen it since I was much younger but when it was on Hulu or whatever we were watching, I decided to play it because I wanted to see Big Bear in the video somebody told me a long time ago that 7-Eleven and McDonald’s and that street called Eureka and Big Bear Blvd. is in the movie and it just makes me so happy seeing that

Usually it’s the opposite here it’ll start off as rain and then change the snow once the cold front moves through but I’m on the other side of town right now and there’s nothing anywhere no snow on the roof. No snow in any patches of shady areas. Nothing at all, it’s horrible

Mauricio well, thank you for the question my friend so I know yesterday they did have controls for the tire chains from running Springs all the way to Big Bear on Highway 18 but your best bet is to call 800 Caltrans or type in road conditions San Bernardino national Forest and then go to the Caltrans website it’s really easy you just type in the highway name you plan on coming up and it’ll tell you what’s going on
I wish I had a better answer for you right now. I can try to look it up in a couple minutes and get back to you but for right now that would be your best. Bet to either call that phone number or check out the Caltrans website as I said, it’s super easy , I’ve been trying to get this video uploaded so give me a few minutes and I’ll try to get back to you my brother OK but if you need it in the next 10 minutes or so, maybe just take my suggestion it’s what I tell everybody to do when I don’t have the most up-to-date information on me at the moment

gg. So you want to try to find a hotel or an Airbnb in between the village and the dam. That’s the snowiest part of the valley. However, there’s another spot deeper in the valley called upper Moonridge. If you could find an Airbnb at the top of upper Moonridge, you get hammered there as well.

We could get our biggest storm of the year which isn’t saying much and that’s just like me your daughter just like me my mom got a house in Lake arrowhead for a vacation home when I was 10 years old until I was 15 years old and that was the first time I saw snow falling from the sky, and I always wanted snow and to be in the snow. As a kid obviously I love Santa Claus and the north pole and my sister lived in Alaska for a while. She’s much older than me. She was going to medical school while I was still a little tiny kid, but she stayed in Alaska on and off for a while, and a lot of my friends where I grew up their families had houses in places like Park city, Utah and Lake Tahoe, and I would always hear these stories of being in the snow, and all the movies I would watchwith snow in the movies, it just was something that even before being in it ever it always made me so happy and finally when I got to be in the snow when it was falling from the sky, it was just a life-changing experience for me

If you’re gonna be staying in a hotel or Airbnb, two different locations, anywhere on Highway 18 a.k.a. Big Bear Blvd. between the Big Bear Dam in the village
And then in the Moonridge area, middle Moonridge, or upper Moonridge
These are the snowiest areas in the valley and that’s where you’re gonna want to find an Airbnb or a hotel
If you are looking for an Airbnb right next to Bear Mountain, one of our friends on the channel has an Airbnb, just let me know and I’ll get you his information
He’s a great guy a good friend of mine through the channel and I think he would be happy again it’s in a part of town that gets a really good amount of snow

OK so if you’re gonna be coming up Saturday, we do have a good chance of snow on Saturday and you might very well have to put on tire chains dude
If you have all-wheel-drive and snow tires, they probably won’t make you put on tire chains and all terrain tires and all season tires are not snow tires so they will hassle you if it’s not snow specific tires and I’m 100% certain you don’t have those
So I’m gonna just try to keep you safe dude and I hope I’m wrong but I think you’re gonna have to put on tire chains. This last storm. We got didn’t much snow at all and tire chains were required on Highway 18.
I would suggest you get yourself some decent tire chains and just keep them in your trunk always because hopefully you’ll have such a good time you’ll want to come back more often but yeah man I’m gonna be honest it’s a pain in the butt for me. fortunately I’ve never put them on in nine years living here , but I’ve had the right vehicle in the right tires for five out of nine years before I got a good enough car and good tires. I was already up here so they don’t really enforce it as harshly when you’re in town already it’s coming up the mountain where they’re very hard-core about it.
Just try to get up here safe and sound. If there’s any chance you can come up on Friday maybe in the evening before the storm that might save you the hassle but honestly just keep checking in with me. You never know when they’re gonna require the chains so I can’t give you a notice .

@@JuanAlvarado-ls7ik so I personally think that town that you’re going to gets the most snow on the whole mountain because of its location on the mountain range and it’s a little bit higher up in elevation than we are here in Big Bear
You’ll probably be more likely to have to have tire chains and especially on that road driving up because it’s a uphill drive and then coming down it’s gonna be downhill so I would definitely keep tire chains with you just in case please please do that for me I don’t wanna hear about anything bad happening to you Mr. Alvarado I care about all of you very much
