  • stockmaritime is producing radio controlled sailing boats since 2006. With the new 3X1 we tried to design and build the best model boat you can get for a affordable prize. The boat is produced in Hamburg, Germany - hand crafted.
    This boat is not a toy - it´s a piece of sports equipment!
    The stockmaritime yacht designers are experienced and they have won a lot of dinghy and big boat races. They love also touring. For this reason the 3X1 is easy to transport and good sailing.
    There are better boats available on the market - but you have to spend 2-4 times the money as buying a 3X1.

    I am always suspicious when I see "The best...." It is a one design for sailors of ready to run model yachts. I fail to see it is best in any category. The radio equioment is commercial as is the boat. Sooner or later the model will be superceded and then that one is the best?

    The newport 12 is the best boat you can get, it's heavy huge and does great against heavy winds and rough waves

      A nice boat, but it´s the old style of sailing with a lot of lead. The Newport 12 compared with a 3x1 is like a 12m America´s Cup Yacht with a Carkeek 40 ..

    Best model of the world ? In what respect ? This boat looks rather like the models made in the Far East.

    • @AEOLOSYACHTS
      @AEOLOSYACHTS  9 років тому +2

      warjacare 100% seagoing, saltwater resistant, fast and reliable. You will not find a second hand boat which is less than 30% off the new price. The boats are extremely durable but light and fast.

      @@AEOLOSYACHTS That is not how you measure the best model in the world. It in no better than any of the International one meters or Marbleheads that I used to sail.

    good day, i am an old stockmaritime's client, probably you will remember about me (luna rossa AC60 - iTA 45). i have a question, why you never be involved into IOM development/construction of boat, or al least of sails/rigs ?
    thank you

      the absolute best of any hobby is always very expensive
      the same goes for DLG's, F3K, F5J or F3F slope soaring RC Sailplanes
      or for drones
      or for RC Cars
      or all the above with people inside
      but the 80/20 rule applies, you can have a lot of fun with things in the middle of the price range
      if you build yourself, you won't be satisfied however, you learn, and you realise better performance is possible
      so you try to achieve that
      and there goes the money :)

    • @AEOLOSYACHTS
      @AEOLOSYACHTS  9 років тому

      ripmax333 Compared to typical asia produced sailing boats yes - but compared to the lifetime and reliability not. If you sell a 3x1, you will get minimum 70% of the initial price.

    • @ripmax333

      ripmax333 About 400 sailors are convinced and very, very happy with their boat. We have a lot awful positive feedback.

      of course there's positive feedback, video shows that the boat is very impressive, no doubt. but as a hobby, model racing yachts are expensive to acquire. i would like to start with a small one like an RG65 Class yacht but its still out of my league...at least for now
