- stockmaritime is producing radio controlled sailing boats since 2006. With the new 3X1 we tried to design and build the best model boat you can get for a affordable prize. The boat is produced in Hamburg, Germany - hand crafted.
This boat is not a toy - it´s a piece of sports equipment!
The stockmaritime yacht designers are experienced and they have won a lot of dinghy and big boat races. They love also touring. For this reason the 3X1 is easy to transport and good sailing.
There are better boats available on the market - but you have to spend 2-4 times the money as buying a 3X1.
I CRIED, I CRIED!....A work of genius!
I am always suspicious when I see "The best...." It is a one design for sailors of ready to run model yachts. I fail to see it is best in any category. The radio equioment is commercial as is the boat. Sooner or later the model will be superceded and then that one is the best?
what is the basic cost? availability?
so sorry this boat got so bad designed sails, need some more lead below finn :)
Where can i buy one and how much are they and where can i buy one from ?
You can buy here. www.stockmaritime.info/

Thank you.
interesting project. Might I ask what you use for radio control? what motors, batteries and remote control?
Here you will find all components:

The newport 12 is the best boat you can get, it's heavy huge and does great against heavy winds and rough waves
A nice boat, but it´s the old style of sailing with a lot of lead. The Newport 12 compared with a 3x1 is like a 12m America´s Cup Yacht with a Carkeek 40 ..
+stockmaritime I tottaly agree with you. That is just too big and heavy.
Best model of the world ? In what respect ? This boat looks rather like the models made in the Far East.
warjacare 100% seagoing, saltwater resistant, fast and reliable. You will not find a second hand boat which is less than 30% off the new price. The boats are extremely durable but light and fast.
@@AEOLOSYACHTS That is not how you measure the best model in the world. It in no better than any of the International one meters or Marbleheads that I used to sail.
Do you deliver to new zealand tryed to register on your web site to purchase a 3x1 however my country is not listed and it wont let me continue with purchase
I want to buy a 1mtr plain hull but where in Cairns, australia
What do you think to make underwater winds for rc sailboat? Any ideas?
good day, i am an old stockmaritime's client, probably you will remember about me (luna rossa AC60 - iTA 45). i have a question, why you never be involved into IOM development/construction of boat, or al least of sails/rigs ?
thank you
nice
Do you build International One Meter (IOM) boats?
no for sure. iom do not allow carbon fibre
Bring them to my local place of sailing and show me how that keels catches the weed compared to my Canterbury J.
Yes the J class are a great boat..I had J113... but sold back to the club when I shifted to Hokitika
If you could get rid of all the writing on top of the image, I could possibly see what the boat looks like!!! Really bad video!!
Ikr
that is so harsh
That bowsprit puts me right off
The sails are half size to not get capsized. The best in the world? I think not. That is a stretch on words.
Please help racing starts in a month and need something unique as the seawind has run its corse
get an EC12 from any builder.
looks like a early cut down Marblehead .
I know it doesn't matter, but it don't really have the aesthetic appeal
Now thats cool wow thanks to rich for my blood but i can dream!
are they are lot off money too by
the absolute best of any hobby is always very expensive
the same goes for DLG's, F3K, F5J or F3F slope soaring RC Sailplanes
or for drones
or for RC Cars
or all the above with people inside
but the 80/20 rule applies, you can have a lot of fun with things in the middle of the price range
if you build yourself, you won't be satisfied however, you learn, and you realise better performance is possible
so you try to achieve that
and there goes the money :)
Did you say radio controlled not remote
gabes around a radio in rc is a remote control
i bet these are awfully expensive right?
ripmax333 Compared to typical asia produced sailing boats yes - but compared to the lifetime and reliability not. If you sell a 3x1, you will get minimum 70% of the initial price.
If you find the right person yes.
ripmax333 About 400 sailors are convinced and very, very happy with their boat. We have a lot awful positive feedback.

of course there's positive feedback, video shows that the boat is very impressive, no doubt. but as a hobby, model racing yachts are expensive to acquire. i would like to start with a small one like an RG65 Class yacht but its still out of my league...at least for now
this boat is of a very old design, pau stiff to the canvas. look at the modern class m
???
POS.
here the term "best" is quite subjective nobody is sailing these around here
also price they want for the 3X1 you could buy a nice old Wayfarer sailing dinghy
Real boats are made from wood
